Week 10 TNF: Raiders-Broncos Preview, Props, Prediction

Thu Nov 6 2:35pm ET
Field Level Media

The Denver Broncos can become the first NFL team to reach the eight-win mark when they play host to the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday night to open Week 10.

The Broncos have been kings of late comebacks while surprisingly being tied for the best record in the NFL. Denver (7-2) seeks its seventh straight victory when it faces its longtime AFC West rivals.

Las Vegas (2-6) has dropped six of its past seven games, including a 30-29 home overtime loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars last Sunday.

ODDS AND TRENDS

The Broncos are consensus 9.0-point favorites. That includes at BetRivers, where they have been backed by 64% of the spread-line money. Denver has covered the spread in each of its past four games as the favorite against AFC West rivals.

Denver's moneyline sat at -500 on Thursday afternoon but that hadn't dissuaded the public, which has backed the Broncos with 90% of the total ML bets and 95% of the money.

The total points line of 43.0 has seen the Over supported by 54% of the money. Seven of the Raiders' past eight road games against AFC West teams have gone Under the total points line.

PROP PICKS

--Broncos QB Bo Nix 200+ Passing Yards (-207 at DraftKings): This has been the most popular player prop at the book, with Nix throwing for at least 242 yards in four of his past six games. While better potential payouts are available on 210+ (-155), 220+ (-118), 230+ (+110) and 240+ (+145), there is cause to be cautious considering the likelihood of Denver leaning heavier on the ground when the game gets comfortably in hand.

--Broncos RB RJ Harvey Anytime TD (+210 at BetRivers): The rookie has had a difficult time earning consistent snaps in the backfield with veteran J.K. Dobbins ahead of him, but Harvey has found the end zone four times over the past two weeks. Two of those were as a receiver, with Nix targeting Harvey five times last week for 51 yards and a score.

INSIDE EDGE

Harvey's role in the passing game figures to only increase as the season progresses. According to Inside Edge's Remarkable engine, Dobbins has averaged only 8.3 receiving yards per game since the start of the 2024 season, which is the lowest among qualified running backs.

SERIES HISTORY

Denver swept the Raiders last season after losing the previous eight matchups. The Broncos also enter with a nine-game home winning streak.

NIX-ING ANY CRITICS

Nix (1,976 yards, 17 touchdowns) is developing a big reputation for coming through in the clutch. That includes four fourth-quarter comebacks during Denver's current win streak.

"Bo's just being Bo," said Denver receiver Courtland Sutton. "Week in and week out, he shows up. ... He finds a way. He's a gamer. The dude shows up. We know that when we have him back there, we have a chance to win the game. I think that's the most fun thing and confident thing to be able to have is to know the guy back there is going to give us a chance to win the game."

RAIDERS' NEW LOOK

Second-year tight end Brock Bowers is coming off a monstrous game with 12 catches for 127 yards and three touchdowns. He is the first Raiders' tight end with three scoring catches in a game since franchise legend Todd Christensen in 1986.

The Raiders traded veteran receiver Jakobi Meyers to the Jaguars on Tuesday for Jacksonville's fourth- and sixth-round picks next year. That came a week after signing veteran Tyler Lockett, who played for coach Pete Carroll and with quarterback Geno Smith in Seattle.

INJURY REPORT

Las Vegas defensive tackle Adam Butler (back) and safeties Lonnie Johnson (fibula) and Isaiah Pola-Mao (hip) are questionable for Thursday's game. Backup quarterback Aidan O'Connell (right wrist) was ruled out.

Star cornerback Patrick Surtain II (pectoral) sat out both practices this week and will miss his second straight game. Tight end Nate Adkins (knee) and receiver Marvin Mims Jr. (concussion) also were ruled out. Safety P.J. Locke (neck) is questionable.

THEY SAID IT

--"We've heard a lot about the win streak, but we're not even really thinking about that because we have so many things that we want to correct. We feel like we haven't even played a complete game offensively. We're all in a growth mindset and we're worried about the things we can fix." --Nix on the Broncos' streak.

--"It has to be multiple guys. Jakobi was such an impact player for us. I wish him the best. He was a great practice player, and I enjoyed coaching him. He was a heck of a kid, but we got some other receivers who are going to have to pick it up." --Raiders offensive coordinator Chip Kelly on replacing Meyers, who had 33 receptions for 352 yards with no touchdowns in seven games.

PREDICTION

In addition to these teams going in distinctly opposite directions over the past month-plus, the data points almost all support an easy Denver victory Thursday night.

Consider that according to the Remarkable engine, the Raiders have been successful on only 37.3% of their rushing attempts this season (fourth-worst in the NFL) while the Broncos have allowed a success rate of just 36.6% of rush attempts (second best).

If Las Vegas can't run the ball effectively it figures to be a tough night on the road. The Raiders have run only 42.5% of their offensive plays on the opponent's side of the ball (third worst), while the Broncos are second best in the league in allowing only 39.2% of plays to be run in their territory.

Player Notes
Isaiah Bond Nov 6 1:40pm CT
Isaiah Bond

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Isaiah Bond (foot) was unable to practice again on Thursday, leaving his availability for the team's matchup with the New York Jets in doubt. Bond has appeared in eight games this season, hauling in 11 of 30 targets for 123 yards. The rookie speedster ranks 200th, out of 201 qualified receivers, with a 36.7% catch rate. With Bond's struggles this season, he should be dropped in all redraft leagues, while dynasty owners have can be a little more patient. It is evident this season that injuries, poor quarterback play, and questionable hands leave Bond unusable for starting lineups.

Jauan Jennings Nov 6 1:40pm CT
Jauan Jennings

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings continues to rise, as he has clearly become the primary receiving target of quarterback Mac Jones. While Christian McCaffrey remains the bell-cow in this offense, Jennings has passed Kendrick Bourne as the primary downfield threat. Jennings has seen 19 targets over the past three weeks, to Bourne's eight. This spike in usage suggests a healthier version of Jennings that we did not see early in the season. With his stock rising, those who held firm through his struggles early are being rewarded. Jennings should be considered a must-start as the team faces off with the Rams, who the 49ers defeated in Week 5 without Jennings on the field.

Harold Fannin Jr. Nov 6 1:30pm CT
Harold Fannin Jr.

Cleveland Browns rookie tight end Harold Fannin Jr. is poised for another big game, as the team faces a beatable Jets secondary in Week 10. Fannin has seen 23 targets over the last three weeks and appears to be the favorite weapon for fellow rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel. The Jets have allowed 15 passing touchdowns through eight games, making the Browns red zone target a must-add off the waiver wire this week. This week's matchup is projected to be a defensive battle, with both teams relying heavily on their respective rushing attacks, likely resulting in heavy sets and high usage for tight ends in the passing game.

Rico Dowdle Nov 6 1:30pm CT
Rico Dowdle

Carolina Panthers running back Rico Dowdle (quadriceps) appears to be trending in the right direction heading into Sunday's matchup with the New Orleans Saints. Dowdle was seen stretching ahead of practice Thursday, after working on the side Wednesday. The emerging star is now wearing a helmet in practice, which is an encouraging sign. Continue to monitor injury reports through the weekend, with Dowdle viewed as a must-start if healthy. The 27-year-old has amassed 735 rushing yards and four touchdowns on just 131 carries this season, while adding another 132 yards and a touchdown through the air. The Saints are allowing 129.4 rushing yards per game, and it is unlikely that quarterback Tyler Shough will be able to sustain drives and keep Dowdle off the field Sunday.

Jakobi Meyers Nov 6 1:20pm CT
Jakobi Meyers

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Jakobi Meyers walks into an immediate opportunity to dominate the target share as they face the Houston Texans in Week 10. Meyers joins a wide receiver room absent of Brian Thomas Jr. (ankle) and Travis Hunter (knee). The Jaguars are averaging just 215.3 yards per game through the air, but Meyers' biggest competition for targets this week is 23-year-old Parker Washington. Trevor Lawrence and the offense face a tough test against a Texans defense that is allowing just 177.5 passing yards per game and ranks fourth with nine interceptions on the year. Meyers is a must-start option this week, as Lawrence tests out his new weapon on day one.

Michael Pittman Jr. Nov 6 12:50pm CT
Michael Pittman Jr.

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (glute) returned to practice on Thursday after being listed as a non-participant on Wednesday with a glute injury, according to James Boyd of The Athletic. It's encouraging news that means Pittman should be available to play this weekend in Berlin, Germany, versus the Atlanta Falcons. The 28-year-old is having a bounce-back season in 2025 with quarterback Daniel Jones running the offense in Indy. The former first-rounder had only 808 receiving yards and three touchdowns in 16 games in 2024, but he's already up to 52 catches, 561 receiving yards, and a career-high-tying six touchdowns in 2025 through nine starts. As long as Pittman is available to play this weekend overseason, he should be a must-start in all fantasy football lineups as the Colts' WR1. Through nine weeks, Pittman is the WR11 in half-PPR scoring in average fantasy points per game.

James Cook Nov 6 12:30pm CT
James Cook

Buffalo Bills running back James Cook (ankle, foot) was seen at the portion of practice open to the media on Thursday after not practicing on Wednesday, according to Sal Capaccio. Fantasy managers might have been running to the waiver wire on Wednesday to pick up Ty Johnson or Ray Davis after news broke that Cook didn't practice due to an ankle/foot injury. The 26-year-old has returned to practice, but there is still some uncertainty about his status for Sunday's divisional matchup against the Miami Dolphins. Cook may need a full practice this week to avoid a questionable tag. If he were to be limited or out altogether in Miami in Week 10, Johnson and Davis would likely split backfield touches for the Bills. Cook is on his way to a third straight Pro Bowl appearance in 2025, collecting 867 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on 153 carries after leading the NFL with 16 rushing scores a year ago. He currently leads the NFL with 5.7 yards per tote and 108.4 rushing yards per game.

Nick Chubb Nov 6 12:20pm CT
Nick Chubb

Houston Texans running back Nick Chubb (foot) is back at practice on Thursday after missing practice on Wednesday with a foot injury, according to DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN. It's a good sign that Chubb will be able to suit up this Sunday when the team takes on the division-rival Jacksonville Jaguars, but the 29-year-old might need to upgrade to a full practice before Friday to avoid taking a questionable tag into the weekend. Chubb has been pretty lackluster on the ground in his first year with the Texans, and he could be facing more defenders in the box this weekend if he's active, since starting quarterback C.J. Stroud has already been ruled out with a concussion. Chubb has been Houston's preferred choice on early downs since Joe Mixon (ankle, foot) has yet to play in 2025, and he's run for 355 yards and two touchdowns on 91 carries. If Chubb is limited at all this weekend, rookie Woody Marks would see an expanded workload.

Matthew Golden Nov 6 11:50am CT
Matthew Golden

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that rookie first-round wide receiver Matthew Golden (shoulder) will be a limited participant in Thursday's practice after getting injured in Sunday's upset loss to the Carolina Panthers, according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN. Before getting injured in Week 9, Golden caught all two of his three targets for just nine yards. The 22-year-old was being hyped during training camp and the preseason, but he has underwhelmed so far in his first year in the NFL, catching 23 passes for 262 yards and no touchdowns on 29 targets over eight games (four starts). Golden's floor should be raised now that tight end Tucker Kraft (knee) is out for the year, but he still makes for a shaky WR4/flex if he's active for a Monday night showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 10. Golden has managed only nine catches (10 targets) for 50 yards in the last three games.

Brian Thomas Jr. Nov 6 11:40am CT
Brian Thomas Jr.

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. (ankle) was not seen at the portion of practice open to the media on Thursday, according to Demetrius Harvey of Jaguars.com. If Thomas does not make it onto the field, it will be his second straight missed practice of the week after he picked up a low-grade high-ankle sprain in the Week 9 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. The Jaguars said earlier this week that they felt the 23-year-old second-year pass catcher had a good chance to suit up this Sunday against the division-rival Houston Texans, but two straight DNPs suggest otherwise. The Jags also put first-rounder Travis Hunter (knee) on Injured Reserve, so they could be down to Parker Washington, Dyami Brown (concussion), and the newly acquired Jakobi Meyers at WR this weekend against a strong Texans defense. Thomas' Friday status will go a long way in determining whether he's active in Week 10.

Dontayvion Wicks Nov 6 11:40am CT
Dontayvion Wicks

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks (calf) will be limited in Thursday's practice, according to Weston Hodkiewicz of Packers.com. Wicks injured his calf in the Week 7 win over the Arizona Cardinals and hasn't practiced or played since, so the fact that he's back on the field on Thursday is a sign that he'll have a chance to return for the Monday night showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 10. The Packers lost tight end Tucker Kraft (knee) for the season in their Week 9 upset loss to the Carolina Panthers, so there will be more targets to go around in Green Bay's passing game moving forward. However, the 24-year-old Wicks will still be a boom/bust fantasy option with limited volume if he's able to return this week. Despite injuries to Jayden Reed (collarbone) and Christian Watson, Wicks has only 13 catches for 134 yards and no touchdowns in his six games in 2025.

Dylan Sampson Nov 6 11:30am CT
Dylan Sampson

Cleveland Browns rookie running back Dylan Sampson saw his biggest volume since the season opener in the Week 8 loss to the New England Patriots, when fellow rookie Quinshon Judkins left the game in the third quarter due to a shoulder injury. The Browns had their bye in Week 9 and are getting ready to face the New York Jets this Sunday in Week 10. The 21-year-old Sampson was a speculative waiver-wire addition for fantasy managers who need help at the RB position, but it remains to be seen how much the fourth-rounder will be involved this weekend now that Judkins has been removed from the injury report. Barring a setback, Judkins should be fine to face the Jets as Cleveland's lead back. Sampson had a season-high 12 carries in Week 1 against the Cincinnati Bengals, but since then, he hasn't had more than four totes in a single game. It's looking like Sampson won't be a realistic starting option in fantasy lineups this weekend.

MarShawn Lloyd Nov 6 11:30am CT
MarShawn Lloyd

The Green Bay Packers sent running back MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) "out west" to get his body right, according to head coach Matt LaFleur, and the results have been promising. "We'll see," LaFleur said. The Packers said at the end of October that the 24-year-old was not close to returning to practice. It remains to be seen if the second-year RB will be able to get back on the field, but so far, he has spent the entire 2025 season on Injured Reserve due to a hamstring injury. The Packers had high hopes for Lloyd when they drafted him, but he has only played in one game so far in his NFL career. Josh Jacobs is the clear bell-cow back in Green Bay's backfield, with Emanuel Wilson and Chris Brooks backing him up. If Lloyd does finally make his way back in the second half of the season, there's no guarantee he'll rise above the RB4 for the Packers.

From RotoBaller

Chris Godwin Nov 6 11:20am CT
Chris Godwin

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (leg) was not spotted at Thursday's practice, according to FOX Sports' Greg Auman. Godwin continues to be affected by a fibula injury that he picked up in Week 5's win over the Seahawks, and is now in danger of missing a fourth consecutive appearance. If he's inactive again, it will be teammates Sterling Shepard, Emeka Egbuka, and Tez Johnson out there in three-wide-receiver sets for their matchup with the visiting New England Patriots -- a personnel they deploy at the tenth-highest rate (66.94%). Tight end Cade Otton would also continue to see a bump in targets.

From RotoBaller

Josh Downs Nov 6 11:20am CT
Josh Downs

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Josh Downs has attracted interest from fantasy managers of late after scoring a touchdown in three straight games. In that span, along with his three scores, Downs has 15 receptions on 19 targets for 138 yards for the Colts. Indy has a crowded receiver room with Michael Pittman Jr., Alex Pierce, and rookie tight end Tyler Warren all demanding targets, but Downs has consistently attracted the eye of quarterback Daniel Jones. In the last four games, the 24-year-old pass-catcher has had at least seven targets in three contests, and he's caught exactly six passes in three of those four games. He drew a season-high nine targets in last week's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers with the team down multiple scores for most of the day. The former third-rounder will be looking to score for a fourth straight week on Sunday in Germany against the Atlanta Falcons.

Bucky Irving Nov 6 11:00am CT
Bucky Irving

FOX Sports' Greg Auman reports that Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Bucky Irving (foot, shoulder) is not at Thursday's practice as the team prepares for its home clash with the New England Patriots this weekend. Coming out of the bye, the 23-year-old has yet to participate in practice, which bodes poorly for his potential status in Week 10's contest. If Irving fails to suit up again, backfield mate Rachaad White will continue to lead the rushing attack in a matchup against a staunch New England rush defense, with Sean Tucker retaining a change-of-pace option.

From RotoBaller

Juwan Johnson Nov 6 10:50am CT
Juwan Johnson

New Orleans Saints tight end Juwan Johnson has gained more appeal as a starting option this weekend when he lines up with the hosting Carolina Panthers. The University of Oregon product had a rough three-game stretch from Weeks 4-6 in which he hauled in seven receptions for 50 yards, although he's bounced back over the previous three outings (13/163), and even got back into the end zone for the second time this season -- and first since Week 2. With ex-teammate Rashid Shaheed gone for Seattle, Johnson should assume the role of the No. 2 pass-catcher behind wide receiver Chris Olave. Production could be inconsistent with rookie QB Tyler Shough manning the helm. However, the opportunity will be there in a Saints offense bereft of weaponry.

From RotoBaller

J.J. McCarthy Nov 6 10:40am CT
J.J. McCarthy

Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy will look to build off an impressive Week 9 win this Sunday when his team squares off with the visiting Baltimore Ravens. McCarthy returned from a five-game absence last weekend and led a decisive win against their division-rival Detroit Lions, totaling three touchdowns (one rushing). The former Michigan Wolverine will be put to the test again in Week 10, this time against a Ravens D that's clamped down over the previous few weeks. That said, McCarthy's performance in Minnesota's most recent win at least has him on the streaming radar in favorable matchups. On paper, the Ravens are just that -- affording opposing air attacks 250 yards per game (fifth-most). Fantasy managers in need of a bye week fill-in can give the 22-year-old a chance as a high-end QB2.

From RotoBaller

Davis Mills Nov 6 10:20am CT
Davis Mills

Houston Texans quarterback Davis Mills will get the start this weekend for his team's home meeting with the Jacksonville Jaguars while teammate C.J. Stroud (concussion) recovers from injury. Stroud left Week 9's loss to the Denver Broncos with a concussion and has already been ruled out for Sunday's clash with Jacksonville. Houston's offense will take a hit sans Stroud, but the Jaguars are a beatable matchup in the passing game. Through nine weeks, the unit has yielded the sixth-most passing yards per game (249.3) and allowed a bottom-half figure in points (23). It wouldn't be surprising to see the Texans lean on the ground game more often in this one, leaving Mills better-suited as an asset in super flex/2QB formats.

From RotoBaller

Dont'e Thornton Jr. Nov 6 10:00am CT
Dont'e Thornton Jr.

Las Vegas Raiders rookie wide receiver Dont'e Thornton Jr. did not play a snap in Week 9's loss to Jacksonville. After showing promise early in the season, he hasn't logged a catch since Week 3. With Jakobi Meyers now traded to the Jaguars, Thornton could see his role expand. In the one game Meyers missed this season, Thornton played a season-high 83% of the snaps. However, the recent addition of Tyler Lockett may cap his overall opportunity. With Denver allowing the fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers, expectations should remain low. Thornton may see the field more in Week 10, but he should stay off fantasy rosters for now.
