NFL roundup: Brandon Aubrey's buzzer field goals lift Cowboys past Giants in OT

Sun Sep 14 9:48pm ET
Field Level Media

Brandon Aubrey hit the game-winning field goal as time expired in overtime to give the Dallas Cowboys a dramatic 40-37 win over the New York Giants Sunday afternoon in Arlington, Texas.

Aubrey also sent the game into overtime by converting a 64-yard field goal -- tied for the third-longest in NFL history -- as the clock hit zeroes, extending a wild game that saw two touchdowns in the final minute of regulation and seven total lead changes.

Dak Prescott went 38-of-52 passing for 361 yards and two touchdowns, and CeeDee Lamb caught nine passes for 112 yards for Dallas (1-1). Prescott's 6-yard touchdown pass to George Pickens gave the Cowboys a 34-30 lead with 52 seconds remaining.

Russell Wilson went 30-of-41 passing for 450 yards and three touchdowns for New York (0-2). Malik Nabers caught nine passes for 167 yards and two touchdowns, including a go-ahead score after Pickens' TD grab.

An interception from Donovan Wilson set up the Cowboys at their own 30-yard line with two minutes left in overtime. A 14-yard scramble by Prescott set Aubrey up for his game-winning field goal, his fourth of the game.

Eagles 20, Chiefs 17

Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts rushed for one touchdown apiece, and Philadelphia held on for a win over host Kansas City.

Barkley had 22 carries for 88 yards to go along with his touchdown for Philadelphia (2-0), who defeated Kansas City in the Super Bowl last season. Hurts completed 15 of 22 passes for 101 yards and he had nine carries for 15 yards.

Patrick Mahomes completed 16 of 29 passes for 187 yards, one touchdown and one interception for Kansas City. Mahomes also rushed for a team-high 66 yards and a touchdown. With the loss, Kansas City is off to its first 0-2 start since 2014, which is also the last year the Chiefs didn't make the playoffs.

Bengals 31, Jaguars 27

Jake Browning scored on a quarterback sneak with 18 seconds left to lead an improbable comeback as Cincinnati Bengals rallied following the loss of quarterback Joe Burrow to a toe injury to defeat visiting Jacksonville.

Browning's score capped a 15-play, 92-yard drive to lead Cincinnati (2-0) to an unbeaten mark after two weeks for the first time since 2018. Browning finished 21 of 32 for 241 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions.

Trevor Lawrence completed 24 of 42 passes for 271 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions for the Jaguars (1-1). Cam Little converted a go-ahead 25-yard field goal with 11:43 to play after the Bengals had tied the score before Browning's late heroics.

Burrow left with 8:36 remaining in the second quarter and did not return after suffering a toe injury on his left foot on an Arik Armstead sack. Burrow's left cleat appeared to catch in the turf on the play. The quarterback sat at his locker with a walking boot on his left leg and left the locker room using crutches, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. The team gave no official update on his status after the game, but early signs indicate Burrow could miss several weeks, the newspaper reported.

Ravens 41, Browns 17

Lamar Jackson passed for 225 yards and four touchdowns to help spoil Joe Flacco's homecoming as Baltimore routed visiting Cleveland in an AFC North battle.

Devontez Walker caught two touchdown passes and DeAndre Hopkins and Tylan Wallace each added one as Baltimore (1-1) rebounded from a disappointing collapse against the Buffalo Bills in Week 1. Jackson completed 19 of 29 passes on Sunday.

Flacco, 40, completed 25 of 45 passes for 199 yards, one touchdown and one interception for the Browns (0-2) in his first visit to Baltimore since his stint with the Ravens ended with the 2018 season. Flacco played 11 seasons with Baltimore and was Super Bowl MVP when the Ravens won the 2012 season championship.

Lions 52, Bears 21

Jared Goff threw five touchdown passes -- three to Amon-Ra St. Brown -- and host Detroit rolled past Chicago.

Goff hit 23 of 28 passes and racked up 334 passing yards for a nearly perfect 156.0 quarterback rating as the Lions (1-1) spoiled the return of Bears head coach Ben Johnson, their former offensive coordinator. St. Brown caught nine passes for 115 yards while Jahmyr Gibbs rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown. Jameson Williams caught two passes for 108 yards and a score.

Caleb Williams passed for 207 yards and two touchdowns for the Bears (0-2). Rome Odunze caught both of Williams' scoring passes and finished with seven catches and 128 yards. Former Lion D'Andre Swift rushed for 63 yards and a touchdown.

49ers 26, Saints 21

Mac Jones threw three touchdown passes as Brock Purdy's replacement, and San Francisco held off host New Orleans.

Jones made his debut for the 49ers (2-0) in place of Purdy, who is sidelined by a toe injury, and completed 26 of 39 passes for 279 yards. Eddy Pineiro, signed to replace Jake Moody after Moody missed two kicks last week in a win over Seattle, made both field-goal attempts, from 44 and 46 yards, and made two of three extra-point attempts.

Spencer Rattler matched Jones' three touchdown passes while completing 25 of 34 for 206 yards, and Alvin Kamara rushed for 99 yards on 21 carries for the Saints (0-2).

Bills 30, Jets 10

James Cook rushed for 132 yards with two touchdowns, Matt Prater booted three field goals and Buffalo won its fourth straight meeting with New York 30-10 in East Rutherford, N.J.

Buffalo's bruising ground game, most of it between the tackles, managed 224 yards. Josh Allen completed 14 of 25 passes for 148 yards and rushed for 59 yards. Cook provided the most scintillating moment of the game, juking twice and jumping in a gallop through the line and dashing 44 yards down the right side to make it 20-0 Buffalo midway through the second quarter.

Jets starting quarterback Justin Fields was 3 of 11 for 27 yards before exiting in the fourth quarter with a concussion. Tyrod Taylor was 7 of 11 for 56 yards and a TD in relief.

Patriots 33, Dolphins 27

Antonio Gibson's 90-yard kickoff return for a touchdown helped New England beat Miami in a shootout at Miami Gardens, Fla.

Gibson's first career touchdown return was the difference in the game, coming on the ensuing kickoff 12 seconds after a 74-yard punt-return touchdown by Miami's Malik Washington gave the Dolphins the lead with 7:18 left. Miami fell to 0-2 for the first time since 2020.

New England quarterback Drake Maye sparked the offense by completing 19 of 23 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns with a rushing touchdown. Miami quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was 26 of 32 for 315 yards and two touchdowns, with one interception.

Seahawks 31, Steelers 17

George Holani recovered a muffed kickoff in the end zone early in the fourth quarter as Seattle defeated host Pittsburgh.

Sam Darnold completed 22 of 33 passes for 295 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions for the Seahawks (1-1). Kenneth Walker III rushed 13 times for 105 yards and a TD. For the Steelers (1-1), DK Metcalf made a touchdown reception against his former team. Aaron Rodgers was 18 of 33 for 203 yards with one TD, two interceptions and was sacked three times.

Seattle's Jason Myers kicked a 54-yard field goal with 12:46 remaining in regulation to break a 14-all tie. On the ensuing kickoff, the ball bounced off Pittsburgh rookie Kaleb Johnson's shoulder inside the 5-yard line and rolled to the back left of the end zone where Holani fell on it, giving the Seahawks 10 points without any time running off the clock.

Rams 33, Titans 19

Matthew Stafford threw for 298 yards and two touchdowns as Los Angeles rallied from a third-quarter deficit to topple Tennessee in Nashville.

The Rams (2-0) scored three touchdowns in the final 16:17 of regulation, with Stafford throwing touchdowns to Davis Allen and Davante Adams. Adams had six catches for 106 yards while Puka Nakua had 91 receiving yards on eight catches with a 45-yard rushing touchdown on a jet sweep.

Tennessee (0-2) QB Cam Ward, the No. 1 overall pick in April's NFL draft, hit 19 of 33 passes for 175 yards and his first touchdown. Scrambling to his right to avoid pressure, Ward threw across his body to the left side of the end zone and found Elic Ayomanor for a 9-yard score with 38 seconds remaining in the first half. Joey Slye added four field goals for the Titans, making him a perfect 8-for-8 through two games.

Cardinals 27, Panthers 22

Kyler Murray threw for 220 yards and a touchdown and Arizona's defense took care of business until the fourth quarter in a home-opener victory against Carolina in Glendale, Ariz.

Arizona linebacker Zaven Collins returned a fumble for a touchdown. The Panthers (0-2) didn't reach the end zone until almost 43 minutes into the game, yet the Cardinals (2-0) needed a late defensive stand to hold on. Murray finished 17-for-25 passing with an interception.

Carolina quarterback Bryce Young, who committed turnovers on the Panthers' first two possessions, ended up 35-for-55 for a career-high 328 yards in the air with three touchdown throws and an interception. Hunter Renfrow caught two TD passes.

Colts 29, Broncos 28

Spencer Shrader kicked a 45-yard field goal with no time left, his fifth of the game, and host Indianapolis rallied to beat Denver.

Shrader missed his initial kick from 60 yards but a 15-yard leverage penalty on Denver's Dondrea Tillman moved the ball to the Broncos' 27-yard line and gave him another chance. He split the uprights to give Indianapolis the win, lifting the team to its first 2-0 start since 2009.

Jonathan Taylor rushed 25 times for 165 yards and had 50 more receiving yards, including a touchdown catch for the Colts. Daniel Jones was 23-of-34 passing for 316 yards and a touchdown and also rushed for a score for Indianapolis. Bo Nix threw three touchdown passes and finished 22-for-30 passing for 206 yards and an interception for the Broncos, who blew an eight-point lead.

Waiver Wire Pickups: Week 3

Player Notes
Josh Palmer Sep 17 12:50pm CT
Josh Palmer

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Joshua Palmer has been a nice addition to the team's offense two weeks into the season. The former Los Angeles Charger ranks second among Bills WRs in catches (seven), targets (12), and yards (108), trailing only Keon Coleman in those categories. Palmer led the way with 47 receiving yards on two grabs in a win over the New York Jets in Week 2, when the Bills elected for a run-first approach instead of airing it out. They figure to have more success throwing the ball on Thursday against the Miami Dolphins, who have surrendered 33 points per game while yielding the league's highest completion percentage (78.8) and its second-highest QB rating (126.1). That should help set Palmer up for a relatively successful evening, though he's certainly not a high-end fantasy option. RotoBaller has Palmer as the 62nd-ranked WR going into Week 3.

Matt Prater Sep 17 12:50pm CT
Matt Prater

The Buffalo Bills' Matt Prater has been among the NFL's most effective kickers through the first two weeks of the season. The 41-year-old journeyman, who signed with the Bills on Sept. 4 to replace the injured Tyler Bass (groin), has nailed all six of his field-goal attempts while going 5-for-5 on extra points. Prater ranks fifth among kickers in fantasy scoring two weeks into the season, and he should have plenty of opportunities to add to his total on Thursday against the Miami Dolphins. While the Dolphins have given up a whopping 66 points in two games, the Bills' high-powered offense has put 71 on the board. All signs are pointing to another busy night for Prater, which gives him plenty of upside heading into Week 3.

Kyle Pitts Sep 17 12:50pm CT
Kyle Pitts

Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Zac Robinson had good things to say about tight end Kyle Pitts Sr. through two weeks of the season. "Kyle is playing great. He's playing really good football. Really pleased with where Kyle is at. He's playing fast. He's getting extra work in with (tight ends coach Kevin) Koger," Robinson said. Pitts didn't have a stat line to write home about in the Week 2 win over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday night, but he was heavily involved for the second straight week and caught four of his five targets for 37 yards in a game in which Atlanta really didn't need to throw the ball much. The 24-year-old has 11 catches for 96 yards through two games and should remain involved as one of the favorite targets for young quarterback Michael Penix Jr. Pitts will be on the TE1/2 borderline in Week 3, although the Falcons could once again lean on their running game in a friendly matchup against the division-rival Carolina Panthers.

Josh Allen Sep 17 12:40pm CT
Josh Allen

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen wasn't at his best in a win over the New York Jets in Week 2, but it could be a different story against the Miami Dolphins on Thursday. Allen has typically thrived against the AFC East rivals since entering the NFL in 2018. In 15 contests against Miami (including playoffs), Allen has gone 13-2 with 45 touchdowns (40 passing, five rushing), 10 interceptions, 273 passing yards per game, and a 107.6 QB rating. Worsening matters for the Dolphins, they have been ineffective against the pass so far this season. They've allowed the league's highest completion percentage (78.8) and its second-highest passer rating (126.1) despite facing non-elite signal-callers in Daniel Jones and Drake Maye. Miami has also given up the second-most fantasy points to QBs in 2025, making it hard to imagine that its defense will prevent Allen from rebounding in Week 3.

From RotoBaller

James Cook Sep 17 12:40pm CT
James Cook

After a stellar performance in a Week 2 win over the New York Jets, Buffalo Bills running back James Cook will take on one of the NFL's lowest-ranked run defenses on Thursday. Cook will match up against the division-rival Miami Dolphins, who have surrendered the eighth-most rushing yards per game (139.0) and the sixth-most fantasy points to running backs through two weeks. New England Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson had his way with the Dolphins last Sunday, as he piled up 142 total yards (54 rushing, 88 receiving) on 16 touches. Cook ranks fourth in the league in rushing yards (176) and has already found the end zone three times on the ground through two games. While Cook may have trouble matching last week's production (21 carries, 132 yards, two TDs), especially if he gets a lighter workload on a short week, he profiles as an RB1 going into Thursday.

From RotoBaller

Dalton Kincaid Sep 17 12:40pm CT
Dalton Kincaid

Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid has gotten off to a respectable start through the first two games of the 2025 season. The former first-round pick has hauled in eight of 10 targets for 85 yards and a touchdown heading into a meeting with the Miami Dolphins on Thursday. For their part, the Dolphins have given up 12 catches, 146 yards, and the 10th-most fantasy points to tight ends in the early going. That sets up for Kincaid to have a fairly productive night, though a lack of scoring prowess may continue to limit his ceiling. Kincaid has totaled just five touchdowns 31 games into his career, while the Dolphins have not allowed a tight end to find the end zone this year.

From RotoBaller

Khalil Shakir Sep 17 12:40pm CT
Khalil Shakir

The Buffalo Bills relied more on the run than the pass in a Week 2 win over the New York Jets, which didn't do wide receiver Khalil Shakir any favors. Shakir had tallied six or more targets in 14 straight games entering last Sunday, but that streak ended against the Jets. After catching one of two targets for 12 yards, he'll look to bounce back against the Miami Dolphins on Thursday. Historically, Shakir has logged unspectacular numbers versus division-rival Miami, which has limited him to 20 catches, 260 yards, and no touchdowns in six career meetings. The 6-foot, 190-pounder caught 11 of 12 targets for 104 yards in two games against the Dolphins last year. That aligned with Shakir's season-long output during a 76-catch, 821-yard showing in 2024, and it's the type of respectable production fantasy managers should expect in Week 3.

From RotoBaller

Keon Coleman Sep 17 12:40pm CT
Keon Coleman

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Keon Coleman, the team's leading pass catcher so far this season, will enter a favorable matchup against the Miami Dolphins in Week 3. Miami, which may go without injured starting cornerback Storm Duck (ankle), hasn't had an answer for opposing passing games this year. The Dolphins are giving up 33 points per game and have allowed the NFL's highest completion percentage (78.8). That looks auspicious for Coleman, who caught all three targets for a modest 26 yards against No. 1 cornerback Sauce Gardner and the New York Jets' secondary last Sunday. The Bills beat the Jets handily while leaning on the run, whereas they took a pass-happy approach in a Week 1 victory over the Baltimore Ravens. Coleman looked like a budding star in the opener. While the second-year man remains unproven, he should be among the beneficiaries if Buffalo's Josh Allen-led aerial attack rebounds from an underwhelming Week 2 performance on Thursday.

Joe Burrow Sep 17 12:30pm CT
Joe Burrow

Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said he has "not shut the door" on a return this year for quarterback Joe Burrow (toe), according to Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic. However, Taylor doesn't have any timeline updates and doesn't know yet when Burrow will undergo surgery to fix torn ligaments in his toe. The 28-year-old is also dealing with turf toe after getting hurt in the Week 2 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. While there is no official timeline for his return, Burrow is expected to miss at least three months, making it possible he could return at the tail end of the regular season. Fantasy managers with an IR spot available could stash Burrow, but just know that he may not end up helping you from here on out if you make a run in the playoffs. In the meantime, backup Jake Browning will run Cincy's offense. The Bengals offense will surely take a hit, but Browning can serve as a high-end QB2 in the right matchups.

From RotoBaller

Noah Brown Sep 17 12:20pm CT
Noah Brown

Washington Commanders wide receiver Noah Brown (groin) will not practice on Wednesday, although head coach Dan Quinn was more encouraged about Brown than he was on Monday, according to Zach Selby of Commanders.com. On Monday, Quinn said Brown was a long shot to play in Week 3 against the Las Vegas Raiders. The 29-year-old might still be fighting an uphill battle to play this weekend, but it's clear he's making progress after he injured his groin in Thursday night's loss to the Green Bay Packers. Even if Brown makes a lot of progress the next couple of days and is cleared to play against the Raiders on Sunday, he won't be a realistic starting option for fantasy lineups, with it looking like quarterback Jayden Daniels (knee) won't play in Week 3. Through the first two weeks of 2025, Brown has caught three of seven targets for just 36 yards.

From RotoBaller

Jalen Royals Sep 17 12:10pm CT
Jalen Royals

Kansas City Chiefs wide receivers Xavier Worthy (shoulder) and Jalen Royals (knee) will both practice on Wednesday, according to head coach Andy Reid. Worthy suffered a full tear of his right labrum in the season-opening loss to the Los Angeles Chargers when he collided with teammate Travis Kelce on the opening series of the game. He missed the Week 2 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl rematch, but the fact that he's back at practice gives him a chance to play this Sunday against the New York Giants on Sunday night as KC looks for its first 2025 win. It's good news that the 22-year-old is practicing, but his status could still be in doubt for Week 3, and with the game being on Sunday night this week, Worthy is shaping up as an extremely risky fantasy play. Royals missed the first two games of the season and can remain on the waiver wire in most redraft leagues while being buried on the WR depth chart.

From RotoBaller

Dyami Brown Sep 17 12:00pm CT
Dyami Brown

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receivers Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter had a tough time getting anything going in the Week 2 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, but Parker Washington and Dyami Brown stepped up for quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Washington led the team with 76 receiving yards, but Brown had a team-best 12 targets and also tied Washington with five receptions. The 25-year-old finished with 57 yards and scored for the first time this season. Thomas and Hunter are going to be Lawrence's primary targets most weeks, but it's notable that Brown has topped 50 receiving yards in each of the first two weeks of the 2025 season. In new head coach Liam Coen's pass-happy offense, Brown could have a consistent role all year, and if anything were to happen to Thomas or Hunter, he could be a weekly flex option in fantasy. Put Brown on your watch list.

From RotoBaller

Jayden Daniels Sep 17 11:50am CT
Jayden Daniels

Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn confirmed that quarterback Jayden Daniels (knee) will not practice on Wednesday, according to Tashan Reed of The Washington Post. Quinn said the team will have an update on Daniels after Friday's practice. Daniels sprained his knee in the Week 2 loss to the Green Bay Packers last Thursday night, and his availability for Week 3 against the Las Vegas Raiders is now up in the air. While we won't know for sure if the 24-year-old second-year signal-caller will play this weekend until Friday, it's looking like veteran backup Marcus Mariota will get the start. The Commanders had Mariota, and not Daniels, available to reporters on Wednesday. Fantasy managers need a backup plan in case Daniels is unable to practice and play this week. He may be a question mark for Week 4 against the Atlanta Falcons, too.

From RotoBaller

Justin Watson Sep 17 11:40am CT
Justin Watson

The Houston Texans placed wide receiver Justin Watson (Achilles, calf) on Injured Reserve on Wednesday, according to the team's official website. Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Sports is reporting that Watson is dealing with an Achilles/calf injury, but it's not a tear, so he could potentially return later this season. The good news for Houston is that both receivers Christian Kirk (hamstring) and Braxton Berrios (hamstring) are expected to play in Week 3 against the division-rival Jacksonville Jaguars. For now, the 29-year-old Watson will have to miss at least the next four games. Watson wasn't on the fantasy radar anywhere to begin with, even with Kirk and Berrios missing the first two weeks of the season. Watson had three catches on four targets for 30 yards in the first two contests of 2025 before getting injured.

From RotoBaller

Isaac Guerendo Sep 17 11:40am CT
Isaac Guerendo

San Francisco 49ers running back Isaac Guerendo entered the 2025 season as a prime handcuff for fantasy managers who were looking to score Christian McCaffrey at a discount early in drafts. However, Guerendo's fantasy value took a massive hit when the Niners acquired Brian Robinson Jr. from the Washington Commanders. B-Rob has been McCaffrey's backup through two weeks, relegating Guerendo to a distant RB3 role. In the Week 2 win over the New Orleans Saints, the 25-year-old didn't play a single snap on offense, with all 17 of his snaps coming on special teams. Guerendo averaged a healthy 5.0 yards per carry on 84 rushing attempts for 420 yards and four touchdowns in 16 games (three starts) as a rookie in 2024 when CMC was bothered by injuries, but currently, he's well off the fantasy radar in single-year leagues going into Week 3 against the division-rival Arizona Cardinals.

From RotoBaller

Trevor Etienne Sep 17 11:30am CT
Trevor Etienne

Carolina Panthers rookie running back Trevor Etienne has played only four offensive snaps through the first two games of his first year in the NFL and is the clear RB2 in Carolina's backfield behind Chuba Hubbard and Rico Dowdle heading into a Week 3 divisional clash against the Atlanta Falcons. In the Week 2 loss to the Arizona Cardinals, the 21-year-old didn't have a carry and caught his only target for a two-yard gain while playing two snaps. Currently, the Georgia product is primarily being utilized as the team's kickoff-return specialist. He has returned five kicks for 101 yards through two weeks. Etienne is only worth rostering as RB depth in dynasty/keeper leagues right now, and he probably won't be worth a look on the waiver wire unless Hubbard or Dowdle miss time with an injury.

From RotoBaller

Tyrod Taylor Sep 17 11:20am CT
Tyrod Taylor

New York Jets veteran backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor will make the start in Week 3 on Sunday against the hosting Tampa Bay Buccaneers after the Jets officially ruled out Justin Fields (concussion) on Wednesday, according to head coach Aaron Glenn. Taylor entered the Week 2 loss to the Buffalo Bills in the fourth quarter after Fields slammed his head on the turf and went 7-for-11 passing for 56 yards and a touchdown on two drives to end the 30-10 loss. The 36-year-old also had three carries for 21 yards. Taylor looked better than Fields did, albeit at the end of a blowout. Taylor can use his legs when needed, but he's made only five starts since the start of 2022, and none since 2023 with the New York Giants. Expect the Jets to lean even more on their ground game this weekend against a stout Tampa defensive line. In two-QB superflex leagues, Taylor will be a low-upside, low-end QB2 option for those already in trouble at the position.

From RotoBaller

Justin Fields Sep 17 11:10am CT
Justin Fields

New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero . Fields was forced to leave New York's Week 2 contest early due to a concussion. Given how early in the week Fields has been ruled out, it's possible he could be facing a multi-week absence, but that's pure speculation at this stage. Veteran quarterback Tyrod Taylor will get the start against Tampa Bay in Fields' absence. Taylor completed seven of 11 pass attempts for 56 yards and a touchdown after taking over mid-game in Week 2. His last stretch of extended NFL action came in 2023 for the New York Giants, when he threw for 1,341 yards and five touchdowns and rushed for 197 yards on 38 attempts across 11 games (five starts). The 36-year-old Taylor still offers some dual-threat ability and could be a low-end injury replacement option in two-quarterback fantasy leagues.

From RotoBaller

Marcus Mariota Sep 17 11:00am CT
Marcus Mariota

Washington Commanders quarterback Marcus Mariota is scheduled to meet with the media on Wednesday in place of Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels (knee), per ESPN's John Keim. Keim notes that this does not mean that Daniels, who suffered a knee sprain in Week 2, will not be able to suit up in Week 3. Still, it could be an early indication that Washington is preparing for Mariota to make the start this Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders. The 31-year-old Mariota played very well in limited action across three games for Washington in 2024. He completed 34 of 44 pass attempts for 364 yards and four touchdowns, adding 92 yards and a score as a rusher as well. If Mariota gets the start against Las Vegas, he could be a quality streamer/injury replacement option at the quarterback position, particularly in two-quarterback fantasy leagues.

Isaiah Bond Sep 17 11:00am CT
Isaiah Bond

From Week 1 to Week 2, Cleveland Browns rookie wide receiver Isaiah Bond saw his snap count increase from 21 to 28, and his target volume jumped from one to three. Bond has recorded just two catches for 11 yards across his first two NFL games, but the team may be slowly ramping him up, given that he was not signed until August. Bond was accused of sexual assault in April, which led to him going undrafted, but he no longer faces criminal charges. The 21-year-old could be establishing himself as Cleveland's WR3 behind Jerry Jeudy and Cedric Tillman. Still, he would likely be behind Browns tight ends David Njoku and Harold Fannin Jr. in the target pecking order for the Browns. Bond is a player to monitor in dynasty formats, but is unlikely to hold fantasy value in redraft leagues in 2025.
