Raiders fire special teams coordinator Tom McMahon

Fri Nov 7 5:31pm ET
Field Level Media

The Las Vegas Raiders fired special teams coordinator Tom McMahon, the team announced Friday afternoon.

It would appear Thursday's 10-7 loss to the Denver Broncos was the final straw for McMahon, who has been in that role with the Raiders since 2022, two head coaches ago.

In that narrow loss, punter AJ Cole had a punt blocked for the second time this season, setting up what became the game-winning field goal for Denver. Las Vegas kicker Daniel Carlson missed a would-be game-tying field goal with 4:26 left.

A missed extra point the week prior in the overtime loss to Jacksonville and a blocked field goal in the Raiders' 25-24 loss to Chicago on Sept. 28 also loom large as special teams problems that have played a role in the team's 2-7 record.

"Earlier today, we made the tough decision to relieve Tom McMahon of his duties as special teams coordinator," coach Pete Carroll said in a statement. "I have a great amount of respect for Tom and the work that has done in this league, but we have decided to move in a different direction. Derius Swinton II will assume special teams coordinator duties for the second half of this season with outstanding intent and purpose.

"We are grateful for Tom and his work here with the Raiders and wish him nothing but the best moving forward."

McMahon has been consistently working as a special teams coach in the NFL since he was the assistant special teams coach for the Atlanta Falcons in 2007-08. He's since served as the ST coordinator for the St. Louis Rams (2009-11), Kansas City Chiefs (2012), Indianapolis Colts (2013-17) and Broncos (2018-21) before landing in Las Vegas.

Starts, Sits, Sleepers: Week 10

Player Notes
Devin Singletary Nov 8 11:40am ET
Devin Singletary

New York Giants running back Devin Singletary's fantasy value is largely dependent on game flow, and he could split snaps with Tyrone Tracy Jr. during Sunday's Week 10 contest against the Chicago Bears. Singletary handled 56 percent of the snaps last week, registering eight carries for 43 yards, plus an additional two catches and eight receiving yards. Offensive coordinator Mike Kafka recently confirmed that Tracy will earn the start in Week 10, but his comments indicated that the exact workload split is dependent on game flow. In other words, Singletary could pace the backfield in snaps, Tracy could lead the way, or we might see another 50-50 split. With uncertainty continuing to surround this backfield post-Cam Skattebo (ankle) injury, fantasy managers should be wary of deploying Singletary as anything more than a low-end RB3/flex. He's merely a desperation option who can help managers short-term as their roster deals with bye weeks or injuries.

Drake London Nov 8 11:40am ET
Drake London

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London is coming off his biggest game of theseason, catching nine of his 14 targets for 118 yards and three touchdowns. After being held scoreless over the first three games of the season, he's now recorded a touchdown catch and gone over 100 yards receiving in three of his lastfour games, and now has four straight games with double-digit targets, which is the longest active streak in the NFL. The 24-year-old has seen his average depth of target (aDOT) go from 8.6 yards over the first three games of the season to 10.9 yards over his last four, and he'll takeon a Colts defense in Week 10 that has been generous, yielding the ninth-most fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts, is allowing the fourth-most receiving yards per game overtheir last three games (268.7), and is allowing 24.5 points per game on the road compared to 16.6 PPG at home. In what should be a high-scoring affair in Germany, London sets up as a top-five option at receiver in Week 10.

Chris Rodriguez Jr. Nov 8 11:40am ET
Chris Rodriguez Jr.

Washington Commanders running back Chris Rodriguez Jr. is coming off his best game of the season in Week 9 against the Seahawks and has been named a team captain for Sunday's matchup against the Detroit Lions. Rodriguez recorded a season-high 12 carries for 65 yards and his second touchdown of the season last week against Seattle and is expected to see more work in Week 10. The third-year back out of Kentucky has consistently run hard when given opportunities. Offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury praised Rodriguez when speaking with the media on Friday, saying, "We have to take what's blocked," and adding that Rodriguez "did a really nice job" of doing that and has "played at a high level" whenever the team has needed him to step up. The 25-year-old should be in line to at least split early down carries with rookie Jacory Croskey-Merritt, with the potential to take on more if he continues to run well while veteran Jeremy McNichols handles pass-down responsibilities. Rodriguez is in flex consideration in deeper leagues for Week 10 against the Detroit Lions.

Colston Loveland Nov 8 11:40am ET
Colston Loveland

Chicago Bears rookie tight end Colston Loveland is coming off a huge performance, posting 118 yards and two touchdowns in the 47-42 win over Cincinnati. The breakout game finally arrived for the 10th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, beating his previous career high in yards by 80 yards. However, that surge came with veteran Cole Kmet leaving early due to a concussion. Kmet is off the injury report and set to return for Week 10 against the Giants. On the season, Kmet has played 70% of the snaps compared to Loveland's 56%, and his presence has consistently capped Loveland's routes and target share. With Kmet back in the mix and 25+ mph winds expected to limit the passing game, Loveland is a strong candidate for regression this week.

Jacory Croskey-Merritt Nov 8 11:20am ET
Jacory Croskey-Merritt

Washington Commanders rookie running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt has struggled over the past four games, totaling just 157 yards on 51 carries and no touchdowns. Croskey-Merritt's 3.1 yards per carry ranks sixth lowest among running backs with at least 25 carries in that span. That comes after a five-game stretch to begin the season where the rookie seventh-rounder was one of the best stories in the league, averaging a league-best 6.6 yards per carry and a ridiculous 72.1% success rate. Croskey-Merritt also owned the second-highest explosive run rate (15+ yards) at 11.6% in that time, but has not generated a single explosive run over the past four weeks. With third-year back Chris Rodriguez Jr. coming off his best game of the season against Seattle and being named a team captain for Sunday's matchup against the Lions, Croskey-Merritt may cede more work to Rodriguez. With a lack of involvement in the pass game, Croskey-Merritt finds himself in low-end RB3 territory for Week 10, ranking as RotoBaller's RB33 in PPR leagues.

Cooper Kupp Nov 8 11:20am ET
Cooper Kupp

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp (hamstring, heel) is trending toward playing against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 10, but he'll have a relatively low floor and ceiling in fantasy football. The 32-year-old has just 23 catches, 293 yards, and one touchdown this year, ranking as the overall WR62 in PPR leagues. His stock could drop even further as Tory Horton (shin) ascends and trade deadline acquisition Rashid Shaheed makes a quick impact. Kupp and Shaheed could share No. 2 receiver duties behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba this week, but the veteran receiver has fallen out of favor with most fantasy managers. He's an unreliable low-end WR4 against a Cardinals defense allowing the 10th-fewest fantasy points to wide receivers in 2025.

From RotoBaller

D.J. Moore Nov 8 11:20am ET
D.J. Moore

Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore is coming off his two most productive receiving games of the season, averaging four catches for 72.5 yards over the past two weeks and even adding both a rushing and passing touchdown in last week's 47-42 win over Cincinnati. Ben Johnson has been moving Moore all over the formation, using him as a runner and in the quick passing game to maximize his impact. He gets a favorable matchup in Week 10 against a Giants defense that allows the fourth-most fantasy points to wide receivers. With 25+ mph winds expected, Moore's short-area usage should help keep him involved. He profiles as a reliable WR3 this week.

From RotoBaller

Rashid Shaheed Nov 8 11:10am ET
Rashid Shaheed

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Rashid Shaheed was acquired less than one week ago, but he could make an immediate impact while facing off against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 10. The 27-year-old had 44 catches, 499 yards, and two touchdowns through nine games with poor quarterback play in New Orleans, so the sky is the limit as he gets paired up with a gunslinging quarterback in Sam Darnold, who threw for 330 yards and four touchdowns just last week. While Shaheed may face a brief adjustment period as he acclimates to the new system, we expect that he'll be thrust into a high-volume role pretty quickly, even if by necessity. Seattle is dealing with numerous wide receiver injuries, leaving Shaheed in line to share No. 2 receiver duties with Cooper Kupp (hamstring, heel). Managers should view Shaheed as a WR3/flex most weeks. His floor and ceiling should both increase after just a few games with the Seahawks.

From RotoBaller

Rome Odunze Nov 8 11:10am ET
Rome Odunze

Chicago Bears wide receiver Rome Odunze is looking to rebound after being held without a catch in Week 9, seeing just three targets and recording two drops in the 47-42 win over Cincinnati. The second-year wideout has now struggled in three of his last four games. He draws a favorable matchup against a Giants defense that allows the fourth-most fantasy points to wide receivers. However, forecasted 25+ mph winds in Chicago could limit the Bears' downfield passing, which is critical to Odunze's production. He carries clear Boom-or-Bust value in Week 10, dependent on how much Chicago chooses to push the ball vertically.

Marcus Mariota Nov 8 11:00am ET
Marcus Mariota

Washington Commanders quarterback Marcus Mariota is set to make his fourth start of the season with starting quarterback Jayden Daniels (elbow) out for an extended period of time. Mariota has been solid in his first three starts, completing 66.7% of his passes for 576 yards with four touchdowns and three interceptions to go with 102 rushing yards and a touchdown on 16 carries. It's ideal that Washington's offense doesn't have to change much with Mariota in for Daniels, as both quarterbacks offer similar dual-threat abilities, although the veteran is a much less dynamic version. The 32-year-old gets a solid matchup in Week 10 against a Detroit Lions defense that has allowed the 11th most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. Mariota is ranked as RotoBaller's QB15 for Week 10.

From RotoBaller

Caleb Williams Nov 8 11:00am ET
Caleb Williams

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is coming off a breakout performance in Week 9, finally snapping a bad two-game stretch with 38.7 fantasy points in a 47-42 win over Cincinnati. Through eight games, the 2024 No. 1 pick has completed 158 of 257 passes for 1,916 yards with 12 touchdowns and four interceptions, while also averaging 26 rushing yards per game and adding three total scores on the ground and through the air. Williams draws a favorable matchup in Week 10 against a New York Giants defense that has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. However, projected 25 mph winds could limit the passing game and cap his upside. Williams should still be viewed as a low-end QB1, but weather might keep his ceiling lower than hoped for.

Bijan Robinson Nov 8 11:00am ET
Bijan Robinson

Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson will go up against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday in Germany. The 23-year-old has just four total touchdowns on the season (two rush, two receiving), but still stands as the sixth-most productive running back for fantasy in half-point PPR formats due to his involvement in both the running and passing attack. The third-year pro has tallied at least 92 yards from scrimmage with Michael Penix Jr. under center, and is averaging seven targets and five receptions per game in those seven contests. The University of Texas product takes on a Colts defense that has been mostly tough against the run in 2025, although it allowed two rushing TDs last week and will be without starting DT DeForest Buckner (neck) in Week 10. They're also top 12 in terms of receptions (41) and reception yards allowed (273) to opposing running backs, and are allowing 24.5 points per game on the road compared to 16.6 PPG at home. Expect Robinson to be heavily involved regardless of game script, and he sets up as a top option at running back again in Berlin.

Kyler Murray Nov 8 11:00am ET
Kyler Murray

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray (foot) could be traded or released next offseason as his future with the team is in limbo, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Murray maintained a 68.1 percent completion rate with 962 passing yards, 173 rushing yards, seven total touchdowns, and four turnovers through the first five games this season. He then missed three games due to injury, and his absence was extended even further this week as Arizona placed him on injured reserve. Although Murray is sidelined due to injury, there has been some speculation about whether he would have still been benched for Jacoby Brissett even if healthy. Regardless of the behind-the-scenes details, Schefter's report paints a clear picture of a potential separation between the Cardinals and their former No. 1 overall selection. Arizona must make a decision on his future by the fifth day of the 2026 league year next March, when an additional $19.5 million becomes guaranteed. The team's options are to release him, keep him, or try to find a trade partner that is willing to take on the final two years of his expensive contract. One source told Schefter that "separation is imminent" between the two parties, but there's still plenty of time for that sentiment to change between now and March. In the meantime, it'll be Brissett under center for the Cardinals.

Adonai Mitchell Nov 8 11:00am ET
Adonai Mitchell

New York Jets wide receiver Adonai Mitchell could make his debut with the team this weekend when they take on the visiting Cleveland Browns at MetLife Stadium. The former Texas Longhorn was acquired by New York earlier this week in a trade with the Indianapolis Colts and has already drawn praise from his coaches and teammates. However, head coach Aaron Glenn was non-committal ahead of Week 10's outing on whether or not he'd suit up. The Jets' passing offense has left much to be desired in 2025, creating space for Mitchell to make an impact down the stretch. The former second-round pick was an exceptional separator in college and possesses immense athleticism. For now, fantasy managers are better off taking a wait-and-see approach, particularly against a vaunted Browns' defense. Mitchell lands as RotoBaller's PPR WR91 if he's active for Sunday's outing.

From RotoBaller

Isaiah Davis Nov 8 10:50am ET
Isaiah Davis

New York Jets running back Isaiah Davis put together his most productive performance of the season in Week 8's win over the Bengals, but could find it more difficult to churn out yardage when he takes on the Cleveland Browns this Sunday. Davis saw season-highs across the board in Week 8, piling up 65 yards on seven carries, and adding 44 more on 5-of-5 receiving. While it was an encouraging performance, Cleveland's defense is a much more formidable opponent. Furthermore, it's unclear if the South Dakota State product will retain the uptick in volume following the team's week off, considering he didn't see a correlative uptick in snap share. If Davis runs hard again, he may finally garner more solidified work in the backfield. Until then, he'll be a dodgy, low-floor play. Davis is RotoBaller's PPR RB36 ahead of Sunday's slate of action.

From RotoBaller

AJ Barner Nov 8 10:50am ET
AJ Barner

Seattle Seahawks tight end AJ Barner should be viewed as a potential streaming option in deeper leagues as he takes on the Arizona Cardinals in Week 10. The 23-year-old is the overall TE18 in PPR leagues this year, totaling 21 catches, 236 yards, and four touchdowns. He is the Seahawks' top pass-catching tight end and has played more than 80 percent of the snaps in most of his games, but his volume has been inconsistent this year. For the most part, his fantasy value has been dependent on finding the end zone. Barner gets a solid matchup on Sunday, facing a Cardinals defense that has allowed the seventh-most catches and eighth-most receiving yards to opposing tight ends in 2025. Furthermore, while Arizona ranks near the middle of the league in touchdowns surrendered to the position, it did allow Barner to find the end zone when the Seahawks and Cardinals faced off in Week 4. Barner should continue to rank as a mid-to-high TE2 with a low floor and modest ceiling.

Tyler Johnson Nov 8 10:50am ET
Tyler Johnson

New York Jets wide receiver Tyler Johnson can't be relied upon in Week 10 when his team squares off with the Cleveland Browns at home. The former Los Angeles Ram was New York's most productive wideout in their win over the Bengals in Week 8, corralling 3-of-5 targets for a team-leading 64 yards and a touchdown. Johnson's score was his first of the season, and he's now recorded at least three receptions and 60 receiving yards in back-to-back games. While the 27-year-old has ascended the wide receiver pecking order, his playing time seems doomed to take a hit with the addition of ex-Indianapolis Colt Adonai Mitchell. It's unknown if Mitchell will be active for Sunday's contest, although he's already making waves in practice and is listed second on the team's depth chart behind Garrett Wilson (knee). Even if Mitchell sits, Johnson will be tough to trust against a suffocating Browns defense. He's RotoBaller's PPR WR70 for this weekend's clash.

From RotoBaller

JuJu Smith-Schuster Nov 8 10:40am ET
JuJu Smith-Schuster

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster has fallen off the fantasy radar after three lower-volume outings. The veteran receiver saw his snap share fall from 63 percent to 36 percent when Rashee Rice returned from suspension in Week 7, and he's been held to fewer than one-third of the snaps ever since then. During that three-week span, he had six total catches, bottoming out last week with just one target, one catch, and two receiving yards. The 28-year-old now finds himself behind Rice, Travis Kelce, Xavier Worthy, and Marquise Brown in the pecking order. As long as those pass catchers stay healthy, Smith-Schuster will remain off the fantasy radar on the other side of the Chiefs' Week 10 bye.

From RotoBaller

Mason Taylor Nov 8 10:40am ET
Mason Taylor

New York Jets tight end Mason Taylor is ready to go for this Sunday's meeting with the visiting Cleveland Browns after a full week of practice. The 21-year-old headed into the team's bye week battling a quad issue, but he's all healed up for a clash with a staunch Browns' defense in Week 10. Taylor has dealt with inconsistencies this season, but has drawn a ton of targets in a Jets' offense bereft of weaponry. The addition of former Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Adonai Mitchell is sure to draw some looks away from the LSU product. However, the two figure to operate in different areas of the field, and it's unclear if Mitchell will play this weekend. Cleveland isn't a very friendly matchup in any aspect, although they've been more forgiving to tight ends over recent weeks. Either way, Taylor should work as a top two option, whether it's quarterback Tyrod Taylor or Justin Fields calling signals. The rookie is RotoBaller's PPR TE21 for his outing with Cleveland.

From RotoBaller

Darius Slayton Nov 8 10:40am ET
Darius Slayton

New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton is coming off his best game of the season and will look to build on his momentum during Week 10 against the Chicago Bears. The 28-year-old continues to operate as the Giants' No. 2 receiver behind Wan'Dale Robinson, and his fantasy managers can let out a sigh of relief after New York opted against adding any receivers to compete with Slayton at the trade deadline. He had five catches for 62 yards last week, handling seven targets on an impressive 89 percent snap share. The Bears have struggled to defend the pass this season, allowing the third-most fantasy points and second-most receiving touchdowns to opposing wide receivers in 2025. Slayton can be deployed as a solid WR3/flex option in most leagues.
