NFL roundup: Broncos top Giants behind historic comeback

Sun Oct 19 9:02pm ET
Field Level Media

Wil Lutz made a 39-yard field goal as time expired to lift the Denver Broncos -- who entered the fourth quarter trailing 19-0 -- to a stunning 33-32 comeback win over the visiting New York Giants on Sunday afternoon.

Bo Nix passed for 279 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 48 yards and two more scores for Denver (5-2), which also trailed 26-8 with just over five minutes remaining. The 33 fourth-quarter points are the most in NFL history by a team that had been shut out in the first three quarters.

Jaxson Dart completed 15 of 33 passes for 283 yards and three touchdowns, but threw a costly interception in the fourth quarter for New York (2-5). Cam Skattebo rushed 16 times for 60 yards for the Giants, who allowed the most points in a quarter in franchise history.

After Dart gave the Giants a 32-30 lead with a 1-yard run with 37 seconds left to play, Jude McAtamney missed the extra-point attempt. Denver then went 56 yards on four plays, with Nix's 22-yard strike to Courtland Sutton getting the ball to the New York 22 to set Lutz up for the winner.

Eagles 28, Vikings 22

Jalen Hurts tossed three touchdowns, A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith both had big games, and Philadelphia held off Minnesota for the victory in Minneapolis.

The Eagles (5-2) ended a two-game skid as Hurts racked up a season-high 326 yards on 19-of-23 passing for a perfect passer rating of 158.3. Brown caught four passes for 121 yards and two TDs and Smith set a career high with 183 yards and a score.

Losing to the quarterback who replaced him in Philadelphia in 2020, Carson Wentz threw for 313 yards but had two interceptions as the Vikings (3-3) repeatedly stalled in the red zone. Will Reichard kicked five field goals for Minnesota and Jordan Addison caught nine passes for 128 yards.

Rams 35, Jaguars 7

Matthew Stafford threw a season-high five touchdowns, Davante Adams had three TD receptions and Los Angeles earned a convincing win over Jacksonville in London.

Stafford threw five touchdown passes for the fourth time in his career and the first time since 2015. Adams put together his third career three-touchdown game and first since 2020. His three touchdowns amassed a total of 4 yards. Konata Mumpfield and Terrance Ferguson also snared TD passes from Stafford.

The Rams (5-2) took a shutout into the fourth quarter before Jacksonville (4-3) got on the board with 9:06 left on Travis Hunter's first career touchdown catch, a 34-yarder from Trevor Lawrence. Hunter finished with a game and career-high 101 yards on eight catches. Lawrence connected on 23 of 48 passes for 296 yards.

Bears 26, Saints 14

D'Andre Swift rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown, the defense took the ball away four times and host Chicago won its fourth consecutive game by beating New Orleans.

Caleb Williams passed for 172 yards and Kyle Monangai added a touchdown run for the Bears (4-2), who rushed for 222 yards and exceeded their NFL-leading average of 2.4 takeaways per game.

Spencer Rattler passed for 233 yards and threw two touchdown passes to Chris Olave, but he also threw three interceptions and lost a fumble for the Saints (1-6), who matched their turnover total for the first six games combined.

Patriots 31, Titans 13

Drake Maye completed 21 of 23 passes for 222 yards and two touchdowns to help visiting New England stretch its winning streak to four games by beating Tennessee in Nashville.

Maye completed 16 consecutive passes at one point for New England (5-2), which also received 88 yards rushing and a touchdown on 18 carries from Rhamondre Stevenson. The win gave New England head coach Mike Vrabel a victory over his former employer. Vrabel coached the Titans from 2018-23.

Rookie Cam Ward completed 25 of 34 passes for 255 yards and a TD for Tennessee (1-6). Ward was intercepted once and also lost a fumble that resulted in a New England touchdown. The loss came in Mike McCoy's first game as Tennessee's interim head coach. McCoy replaced Brian Callahan, who was fired Monday.

Browns 31, Dolphins 6

Rookie Quinshon Judkins rushed for a career-high three touchdowns, Tyson Campbell had a pick-six in his home debut and host Cleveland hammered Miami on a rainy afternoon.

Judkins, who rushed 25 times for 84 yards, tallied twice in the first half on a long sprint and a spinning run before another in the second half in his first multi-touchdown game. The Browns (2-5) broke their three-game losing streak by scoring three times off Miami turnovers.

Tua Tagovailoa was 12-of-23 passing for 100 yards and three interceptions for the Dolphins (1-6), who have lost three straight. Reserve Quinn Ewers was 5-of-8 passing for 53 yards in his NFL debut.

Chiefs 31, Raiders 0

Patrick Mahomes passed for 286 yards and three touchdowns in less than three quarters and Kansas City moved ahead of .500 for the first time this season with a shellacking of visiting Las Vegas.

Rashee Rice was credited with two touchdown receptions while making his season debut following a six-game suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy. Marquise "Hollywood" Brown also had a scoring grab and Isiah Pacheco ran for a touchdown as the Chiefs (4-3) beat the Raiders for the 14th time in the past 16 meetings.

Kansas City held Las Vegas to 95 total yards and three first downs while posting its first regular-season shutout in the all-time series since 2011 against the then-Oakland Raiders. The Chiefs began taking kneel downs with 2:36 remaining in the one-sided contest. Geno Smith completed 10 of 16 passes for 67 yards for Las Vegas (2-5).

Panthers 13, Jets 6

Carolina scored the game's only touchdown on a Bryce Young pass before he left with an injury during a victory over winless New York at East Rutherford, N.J.

Carolina's defense shined, limiting the Jets (0-7) to 220 yards of total offense and benefited from Jaycee Horn's two interceptions as the Panthers (4-3) won their third game in a row. Young didn't finish the game because of an ankle injury sustained late in the third quarter on a sack, so he was replaced by Andy Dalton. Young was 15 of 25 passing for 138 yards.

New York backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor, playing in the second half, went 10-for-22 passing for 126 yards and two interceptions. Jets starting quarterback Justin Fields was pulled after the first half, when he was 6 of 12 for 46 yards.

Colts 38, Chargers 24

Jonathan Taylor ran for three touchdowns and Daniel Jones threw for two as Indianapolis ran roughshod over Los Angeles' defense for an impressive win in Inglewood, Calif.

Taylor finished with 94 yards on 16 carries, scoring on runs of 23, 8 and 19 yards as the Colts (6-1) won their third straight game. Jones completed 23 of 34 passes for 288 yards as Indianapolis totaled 401 yards for the game. The Colts were especially effective in extending drives, going 5-of-11 on third down and 3-of-3 on fourth down.

Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert put up monster stats in defeat, hitting 37 of 55 passes for 420 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions. But Los Angeles (4-3) rushed for just 54 yards on 16 attempts, largely abandoning the running game after Indianapolis established a 23-3 halftime lead.

Cowboys 44, Commanders 22

Dak Prescott passed for 264 yards and three touchdowns and Dallas routed Washington in Arlington, Texas.

CeeDee Lamb caught five passes for 110 yards and a touchdown for Dallas (3-3-1) in his return after missing three games with an ankle injury. Jake Ferguson had two touchdown catches, and Javonte Williams rushed for 116 yards and a touchdown.

Washington quarterback Jayden Daniels left the game in the third quarter with a right hamstring injury sustained on a strip-sack fumble. He was 12 of 22 for 156 yards with a passing and rushing touchdown.

Packers 27, Cardinals 23

Josh Jacobs rushed for two touchdowns, including a go-ahead 1-yard scoring run with 1:50 left, as Green Bay edged host Arizona in Glendale.

Nursing a strained left calf, Jacobs helped send Arizona (2-5) to its fifth straight defeat, all by one score. Jacobs finished with 55 yards on 13 carries to go with the two scores. Micah Parsons registered his first three-sack

game as a member of the Packers.

Quarterback Jacoby Brissett and tight end Trey McBride connected on a pair of touchdowns for Arizona, but Green Bay rallied to improve to 4-1-1. Playing in relief of the injured Kyler Murray, Brissett went 25 of 36 for 279 yards and two touchdowns.

Starts, Sits, Sleepers: Week 7

Player Notes
Oronde Gadsden II Oct 20 9:48am ET
Oronde Gadsden II

Los Angeles Chargers rookie tight end Oronde Gadsden caught seven of his nine targets for 164 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's Week 7 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. The highlight of his game was a 53-yard catch on the second play of the third quarter, but his 15-yard touchdown was impressive, too. The rookie has broken out recently, catching 14 passes for 232 yards and a touchdown over his last two contests. He is the overall TE1 in PPR leagues over the last two weeks. Although that's a relatively small sample size to assess, Sunday's big game showed that Gadsden's sudden success is no fluke. He should continue to operate as a primary target for Justin Herbert, giving him high-end TE2 appeal with TE1 upside.

Tyler Warren Oct 20 9:40am ET
Tyler Warren

Indianapolis Colts tight end Tyler Warren caught four of five targets for 60 yards and a touchdown in the Colts' 38-24 win over the Chargers. Warren continues an excellent start to his career and has already solidified his status as a weekly top tight end option in fantasy. Indianapolis has arguably featured the league's best offense through the first seven weeks, and Warren leads the way for them with 439 receiving yards. The rookie should remain a focal point of the Colts' offense as they use him in advantageous spots to showcase his elite yards-after-catch ability. He'll remain a top-five option headed into Week 8 against the Titans.

Cam Skattebo Oct 20 9:30am ET
Cam Skattebo

New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo had 16 carries for 60 yards along with three catches for 34 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 33-32 loss to the Broncos. Skattebo couldn't find a whole lot of running room against a stout Denver defense, but made up for some of it as a receiver. The rookie again maintained a firm lead in touches over Tyrone Tracy Jr., but he was more involved in this one, rushing for 46 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Skattebo should continue to operate as the Giants' lead back and preferred option near the goal line and in the passing game, which bodes well for his fantasy value moving forward in an improving Giants offense.

Jordan Addison Oct 20 9:20am ET
Jordan Addison

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison caught nine of 12 targets for 128 yards in Sunday's 28-22 loss to the Eagles. Addison was peppered with targets from quarterback Carson Wentz all game, with the 12 targets matching a career high for the 23-year-old wideout. He hasn't missed a beat since returning from his three-game suspension to begin the season, recording 18 catches for 283 yards and a touchdown on 26 targets in three games. The quarterback situation will be one to monitor for Addison moving forward, but he is talented enough to produce regardless. He's firmly in the WR2/WR3 mix moving forward.

J.K. Dobbins Oct 20 6:00am ET
J.K. Dobbins

Denver Broncos running back J.K. Dobbins rushes 14 times for 81 yards while losing a yard on one catch on the day as the Broncos exploded in the fourth quarter, scoring 33 points in Sunday's 33-32 comeback win against the New York Giants. Dobbins has been able to showcase solid production for the Broncos' rushing attack despite lacking a touchdown in the past couple of weeks. Rookie running back RJ Harvey was getting more work than usual early on in the game, but Dobbins stepped in to give the Broncos some sparks as the game went on, and he would eventually out-carry Harvey 14-4 on the day. In what could be a Week 8 shootout as the Broncos face the Dallas Cowboys at home, Dobbins should continue to provide RB2 value with upside.

Jeremy McNichols

Washington Commanders RB Jeremy McNichols carried the ball twice for 22 yards against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 7. He also had two receptions for 23 yards.

Chris Moore

Washington Commanders WR Chris Moore caught two passes (on five targets) for 59 yards in a Week 7 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

Brandin Cooks

New Orleans Saints WR Brandin Cooks had one reception for three yards in a Week 7 loss to the Chicago Bears.

Michael Pittman Jr. Oct 20 1:10am ET
Michael Pittman Jr.

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. caught seven of his nine targets for 58 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's Week 7 win over the Indianapolis Colts. The 28-year-old bounced back after catching just two passes last weekend. He has quietly established himself as the overall WR10 in scoring this season (PPR), and his schedule will only get easier over the next two weeks as he takes on the Titans and Steelers. Facing Tennessee in Week 8 should keep Pittman in the low-end WR1 tier. In his last outing against the Titans, he caught six passes for 73 yards and a touchdown.

From RotoBaller

Bijan Robinson Oct 20 1:00am ET
Bijan Robinson

Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson carried the ball 14 times for 40 rushing yards during Sunday's Week 7 loss against the San Francisco 49ers. He also caught six of his eight targets for an additional 52 receiving yards and one touchdown. The 23-year-old posted his worst single-game rushing efficiency since Week 1, but he made up for it with his impact in the passing game and his trip to the end zone. Robinson is the overall RB5 in PPR leagues this year, and he could rise up the leaderboard after next week's very favorable matchup against the Miami Dolphins. After all, Miami, which just surrendered three touchdowns to Quinshon Judkins, has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing running backs in 2025.

From RotoBaller

Daniel Bellinger Oct 20 12:30am ET
Daniel Bellinger

New York Giants tight end Daniel Bellinger caught three of his four targets for 88 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's Week 7 loss against the Denver Broncos. The highlight of his performance was a 44-yard trip to the end zone in the first quarter, breaking a scoreless tie. Once again, Bellinger and Theo Johnson were able to co-exist in this offense, as Johnson caught three passes for 66 yards and a score. It's the second time in the last three weeks that the duo has combined for at least seven catches in a single game. The two tight ends have seen an uptick in volume with receiver Malik Nabers (knee) done for the year, and they should continue to carve out roles for themselves going forward. Johnson has been a steadier contributor so far, but Bellinger is worthy of low-end TE2 consideration in deeper leagues. He'll take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 8.

From RotoBaller

Theo Johnson Oct 20 12:30am ET
Theo Johnson

New York Giants tight end Theo Johnson caught three of his seven targets for 66 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's Week 7 loss against the Los Angeles Chargers. The highlight of his performance was a 41-yard touchdown in which Johnson caught the pass that had deflected off one of his teammates. The 24-year-old has been quite productive since the Giants lost Malik Nabers (knee), posting 14 catches, 143 yards, and four touchdowns over his last four games. During that four-week window, he's the overall TE5 in PPR leagues. Interestingly, he has shown that he can co-exist alongside Daniel Bellinger, as the two tight ends have combined for at least seven catches in two of the Giants' last three games. With that being said, Johnson, whose fantasy value has become touchdown-dependent, remains the preferred option in the passing game over Bellinger. He's a mid-to-high TE2 heading into Week 8 against Philadelphia.

From RotoBaller

Josh Jacobs Oct 20 12:30am ET
Josh Jacobs

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs came into Sunday's Week 7 game versus the Arizona Cardinals with a questionable tag thanks to a calf injury that popped up late in the week. Jacobs tested his calf during pre-game warmups and was cleared to play. The 27-year-old had a modest 13 rushing attempts on the day in the 27-23 victory for 55 yards, but he was able to salvage his day for his fantasy managers by scoring two touchdowns. Jacobs caught his only target in the passing game for three yards. Perhaps he was a bit limited by his calf injury, as his 13 carries were a season low, but it didn't stop Jacobs from scoring on the ground twice for the third straight game. Jacobs now has eight trips to the end zone on the ground in 2025, with the Sept. 21 game against the Cleveland Browns being the only game that he hasn't found paydirt for Green Bay. He won't have the best of matchups next Sunday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8, but Jacobs' volume alone and nose for the end zone make him a pretty safe RB2.

Darren Waller Oct 20 12:20am ET
Darren Waller

Miami Dolphins tight end Darren Waller (pectoral) was diagnosed with a pectoral strain following Sunday's Week 7 loss to the Cleveland Browns, according to agent Drew Rosenhaus. Waller will undergo an MRI on Monday morning. Both the team and player are hoping to avoid the worst-case scenario, which is a torn pectoral that would sideline him for the rest of the season. If the injury is less severe, Waller could miss a shorter period of time and would perhaps be able to avoid an injured reserve stint. Regardless, it does appear as though Waller is at risk of missing at least some time. Julian Hill and Tanner Conner are the next tight ends on the depth chart, but neither player possesses significant fantasy relevance.

From RotoBaller

Javonte Williams Oct 20 12:20am ET
Javonte Williams

Dallas Cowboys running back Javonte Williams had his second 100-yard rushing performance of the season in the Week 7 victory over the visiting Washington Commanders on Sunday. In the 44-22 win, Williams was dominant on the ground, going for 116 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries (6.1 yards per carry). It was the 25-year-old's second game in 2025 with over 100 rushing yards, and it was a nice bounce-back effort after he had a season-low 29 ground yards on 13 carries in last week's loss to the Carolina Panthers. He added just one catch on four targets for a gain of two yards. Williams showed his bruising style of play and was able to pick up chunk gains out of the backfield against a weak Commanders defense on Sunday. He is averaging over 5.0 yards per tote in his first year in Dallas and is well on his way to a breakout in his fifth NFL season in Dallas' high-scoring offense. Williams has become a must-start RB2 in fantasy, but it could be tough sledding against his old team, the Denver Broncos, in a Week 8 showdown.

From RotoBaller

Jake Ferguson Oct 20 12:10am ET
Jake Ferguson

Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson has quickly become one of quarterback Dak Prescott's favorite targets in the passing game, and it didn't hurt that he wore his QB's high-school jersey to the stadium as a show of good faith. In the 44-22 blowout victory over the Washington Commanders in Week 7 on Sunday, Ferguson caught all seven of his targets for only 29 yards, but he found the end zone twice to bring his season total to six. In a high-volume Cowboys passing offense, the 26-year-old has developed some nice chemistry with Prescott this year. Ferguson has exactly seven receptions in three of the last four weeks, and all six of his touchdowns on the season have come in the last four games. His ceiling will likely be lowered now that top wideout CeeDee Lamb has returned from a high-ankle sprain, but Ferguson's red-zone prowess should continue, making him a weekly TE1 for fantasy managers in what has been a high-scoring offense.

San Francisco 49ers WR Demarcus Robinson went without a catch or any offensive statistics on one target in Week 7 against the Atlanta Falcons.

Rashee Rice Oct 20 12:00am ET
Rashee Rice

The Kansas City Chiefs said that wide receiver Rashee Rice was going to be heavily involved in the offensive game plan in his season debut in Week 7 against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday after serving his six-game suspension, and they were not lying. Rice picked up right where he left off last year, securing seven of his 10 targets for 42 yards and his first two touchdowns of 2025 in the team's 31-0 blowout win over the Raiders. The 25-year-old led the team in targets and catches on the day and reminded everyone why he was quarterback Patrick Mahomes' favorite target in the passing game last year before he suffered a season-ending knee injury. Rice's longest catch of the game only went for 12 yards, but fantasy managers have to be very pleased with what they saw from him in his season debut. Now that he's back from suspension, Rice should be locked and loaded into all starting fantasy lineups for a Monday night matchup in Week 8 against the Washington Commanders and their porous secondary.

From RotoBaller

George Kittle Oct 19 11:53pm ET
George Kittle

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle was targeted twice in Week 7 against the Atlanta Falcons, but he was unable to record any receptions in his first game back from the Reserve/Injured list.

Fantasy Spin: Kittle's return was a huge disappointment. He'll look to rebound in Week 8 at Houston, and it coincides with National Tight Ends Day, a concept he came up with a few years back. You can expect Kittle to be much better, and as long as he is active, he is a top-tier fantasy tight end.

From TheHuddle

Christian McCaffrey Oct 19 11:50pm ET
Christian McCaffrey

The San Francisco 49ers have been as banged up as any team in the NFL this year, but they can beat any team in the league as long as star running back Christian McCaffrey is healthy. McCaffrey once again dominated offensive touches for San Fran in Sunday night's victory over the visiting Atlanta Falcons in Week 7, touching the football 31 times for 201 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns. The 29-year-old do-it-all back had a season-high 24 carries for 129 rushing yards (his first 100-yard game of 2025) and added two rushing scores, as an improved Falcons defense had no answers for him. CMC added seven catches on eight targets for 72 receiving yards. McCaffrey has been the Niners' leading receiver this year and has three receiving touchdowns and three rushing TDs as a balanced offensive threat like few others in the league. Despite another tough test in Week 8 against the Houston Texans' defense, CMC continues to be a must-start, elite RB1 in fantasy football.
