Welcome to the 2025 version of PUP (Physically Unable to Perform) Fantasy Football League.

New rule 2025:  The Wednesday waiver wire will be sorted by auction with a season salary cap of $100

New rule 2023:  QB can be used in Flex line-up spot

New rule 2023:  The Champion gets the Ace card to start draft 

Keeper rules went into effect in 2016.

Keeper rules
  • Each team can keep up to 2 players. The cost related to keeping a player, is the previous draft cost, plus $5.
  • A team can only keep a player one year.  Then they are returned to the draft pool. (example; Winston is drafted year 1 for $8, he can be kept year 2 only for $13, then returns to the pool year 3)
  • A keeper player has to be on your roster at the end of the season, Active or IR. A drafted player dropped for suspension during the year is no longer keep-able. 
  • A player that you have traded for, that you decide to keep, is still stuck to the draft contract price of who drafted him, plus $5. Trades are still subject to Commish approval for fairness.
  • A player taken from waiver wire/supplemental draft can be a keeper at a cost of $20. The player must be on year end roster.  (New as of 2022)
  • If a player is considered "out for the season" on draft day, they can't be drafted. They remain in the free agent draft pool until they come off "out" status. (if you already own them when they go out, they can be held on IR).
  • Kept players are announced and paid for at the start of draft in draft order.
  • A team that decides to not keep anyone, starts draft with the normal $200 salary cap.
  • A new team coming into the league, starts from scratch.  No keepers the first year.

3. AUCTION:
- An auction will be held to distribute players.
- $200 fictional auction salary cap. (Voted to go to $200 salary cap in 2011)
- We will draw cards to establish an order.  The previous year Champ will be 1st. 
- Bidding begins at least $1.
- Highest bidder gets player.
     *No team may make a bid that would reduce their remaining pool of money to be less than the number of available roster spots.
- 160 player auction (16 players per team).
- 16 ROUNDS: 2 QB, 2 K, 4 RB, 4 WR, 2 TE, 2 Tm D/ST
- Max number of players at each position after auction is one more than original. ex.3 QB, 5 RB
- Players are eligible to play any position they are listed at by their NFL team(although not both at once).


4.STARTING LINE UP:
- 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX (QB as of 2023, RB, WR, or TE), 1K, & 1 D/ST (9 Starters)
- Each team shall submit a starting line up of 9 players to the commish, asst commish, or on line at RTSSports.com (league name PUP FFL) prior to kick-off on Sunday. Players in early games must be designated prior to kick-off of their game.
- If no line up is submitted, the previous weeks line up will be used.

5.SCORING:

See Scoring Rules. 

6.TRADES:

- $1 will be charged to each team for each player involved.
- Use "Trade" Screen or "Trading Block" to propose and accept trades.

- Trades require Commish approval.  Trades need to be fair.

- Weekly trade deadline is Sunday by Noon.  
- Teams may not trade players back to original team for at least 4 weeks.
- Trade deadline at the completion of week 13.

7.WAIVER WIRE/FREE AGENTS:

- Every Wednesday @ 7pm Central throughout the year.
- Use "Waiver Wire" screen to make claims.
- Draft order by auction with a season salary cap of $100. (New in 2025)
- Free Agents will not be available until 8:00 am Central Thursday mornings.

8.INJURED RESERVE:

  • Players may be placed on "IR" if listed as OUT, Doubtful or IR on the NFL injury reports by using the "Set Lineup" screen.
    - The injured or sick player is protected until NFL injury report shows player as anything better than "Out" or “Doubtful”.
    - Suspended players can NOT be put on IR.

    9.TIE BREAKER:
    - Total yardage of the starting line-up. (Includes FG yardage & kick/punt return yardage) (updated 9/6/04)
    - Will apply for the regular season and playoffs.


    10.SCHEDULE:
    - 18 week regular season.
    - Will be prepared by RTSSports.com
    - All teams will play two games against every team within their division.

    11.PLAYOFFS:
    - Played during the first 3 weeks of the NFL Playoffs
    - The two teams with the best record in each division, wins the division and get a bye in the first round.
    - Tied records will be broken by division record, then total points.
    - Wild Card: The first & second place teams in each division are in the playoffs. The next 2 best records are in the playoffs as wild cards.
  • -If 4 teams make the playoffs from 1 division, teams will be seeded to determine which team will play against the other division.  (Higher seed plays lower seed)
    - 2 point home field advantage for 2nd place teams in the first round of the play-offs.   
    -The reveal keepers order will be by lowest to highest seeding order.
    -The team that keeps the least amount of players, will pick 1st and so on.                            
    -If there is a tie for the amount of keeper players, the better record will be the tie breaker. 
    -Players will be picked using a “snake” draft order. 
    -Teams will pick players until they fill out a starting roster of 9 players. 

    12.DUTIES OF THE COMMISH:
    - Includes organizing the league, arrange for the auction, conduct the supplemental draft, treasurer, prepare paperwork for the upcoming season, and give everybody shit!!
    - There will be an assistant commish to lend a hand.


    13.RULE CHANGES:
    -Rules may be revised or added by a MAJORITY vote of the team owners BEFORE the season starts.
    -During the season, rules may be revised or added, but only by a UNANIMOUS vote.
