Baltimore Ravens kicker Tyler Loop bounced back in a big way in the Week 8 win over the Chicago Bears. He made three field goals from 42, 28, and 32 yards while making all three of his extra point attempts as well. Now, Lamar Jackson returns in Week 9 against a Miami Dolphins defense that has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing kickers and is tied for seventh-most points per game to opposing teams. That puts Loop firmly into the K1 conversation, and he's currently projected in the RotoBaller rankings to finish as the K5 in Week 9.

Oct 25 11:40am ET

Baltimore Ravens kicker Tyler Loop was firmly in the K1 discussion across the first two weeks of the season. Then, Lamar Jackson (hamstring) went down, and the entire offense came to a screeching halt. Over the last three games, he's made a combined four out of five field goals and three out of three extra points. In comparison, he was 4-for-4 and 9-for-10 in the first two games. With Lamar Jackson (hamstring) on the verge of returning to the field, Loop should see a noticeable uptick in opportunities as well. Tyler Huntley could start in Week 8, but either way, Loop is trending upwards and could be a starting option again for fantasy managers looking for kicking help.

Oct 4 3:00pm ET

Baltimore Ravens rookie kicker Tyler Loop has made all seven of his field goal attempts and 14 out of 15 extra-point tries through the first four games of his NFL career. The Ravens' overall point-scoring outlook will take a hit in Week 5, as Baltimore will be without quarterback Lamar Jackson (hamstring) due to a hamstring injury. Additionally, Baltimore faces a difficult matchup against the Houston Texans. Through four weeks, Houston opponents are averaging just 12.8 points per game. Loop does not profile as a strict avoid for fantasy managers in Week 5, but he's a low-end starting kicker option at best.

Sep 27 12:20pm ET

Baltimore Ravens kicker Tyler Loop finished outside of K1 territory for the first time in Week 3. The biggest reason is that the Ravens weren't settling for field goals as they tried to claw out a comeback win in the fourth quarter against the Detroit Lions. Still, Loop made a 41-yarder and all three of his extra point attempts. The offense should still be able to move the ball downfield in their Week 4 matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs, and they'll especially need more points if the defense continues to give up the most points in the league. That means Loop should see plenty of opportunities, which keeps him in K1 territory heading into this matchup.

Sep 20 10:20pm ET

Baltimore Ravens kicker Tyler Loop has played well so far this season. He made both attempts in Week 1 in the loss to the Bills, with one of them taking place from beyond the 50-yard mark. The 24-year-old followed up that performance by sinking as many kicks in the Week 2 win over the Cleveland Browns. While the season is still young, Loop is already one of the top fantasy kickers going. With the Ravens and Lions expected to feature plenty of scoring on Monday night, Loop could continue to have plenty of opportunities to produce for fantasy managers. Keep him starting.

Baltimore Ravens kicker Tyler Loop enjoyed a good start to his NFL career despite the missed extra point against the Buffalo Bills. With 12 fantasy points, he came in as the K7 in his first game after making a 52-yarder and a 49-yarder, along with going four-for-five in extra points. This offense should have no problem getting the ball into field goal range, especially against the divisional rival Cleveland Browns. Loop will remain in the top-ten fantasy kicker conversation unless he proves otherwise, so managers can look to deploy him in lineups again in Week 2.

Sep 5 11:10pm ET

Baltimore Ravens kicker Tyler Loop has big shoes to fill in his first season after being drafted with the 186th overall pick this year. Despite the shaky last season and shady off-field allegations, the Ravens were used to one of the most accurate kickers in NFL history with Justin Tucker. Loop showed some impressive leg strength throughout training camp and the preseason, and he should get plenty of opportunities with the way this offense can move the ball. Another aspect in his favor is that head coach John Harbaugh is a former special teams coach who knows when to put trust in his guys. Loop's ADP was in the middle of the pack for his position, but he has the highest Week 1 projection in RotoBaller's rankings with 8.9 fantasy points against the Buffalo Bills.

Aug 29 1:00pm ET

Baltimore Ravens rookie kicker Tyler Loop has a tall task of replacing seven-time Pro Bowler Justin Tucker, but NFL.com's Bucky Brooks writes that Loop "appears to be well on his way to becoming a household name as a long-distance scorer with unlimited range." Loop made 81.8 percent of his field-goal attempts during the regular season and also made a 61-yarder. He made all eight of his extra-point attempts and heads into his first NFL as a "model of consistency," which is what head coach John Harbaugh expects at the position. The 24-year-old sixth-rounder definitely has the leg to succeed at this level, and in one of the best offenses in the league, he could be on the fantasy radar in 12-team leagues before long, too. Right now, though, RotoBaller has Loop ranked as the No. 19 fantasy kicker with Week 1 just a week away.

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh officially named rookie Tyler Loop the team's starting kicker after he nailed five field goals in preseason action against the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday night. Loop has been the only kicker on the roster since the Ravens released John Hoyland earlier this month, but Harbaugh's statement indicates that Baltimore does not plan to bring in another veteran. A sixth-round pick out of Arizona, Loop made 83.8% of his field goals and 98.4% of his extra-point attempts in 50 career college games. He's made six out of his eight preseason field goal attempts so far.
