I am going Verdana bold for this post. I hope you all can handle it...
This is going to be a tough week for the Big Johnsons on the field. I can already feel the ass beating coming. Like the time I opened a package at The Examiner to find that Arby's had fu(ked me over with the Oven Mitt. That still stings, Brian.
Anyway, roast beef and cheddar to all of you. Remind me to tell you all a George Brett story from Royals fantasy camp...
Three weeks to go in the regular season and some of the playoff picture is taking shape. The Johnsons are coming up big.
The Johnsons clinched the Didier division title. They own a thee-game lead over the Grenades, but also own a 2-0 tiebreaker over the Grenades, so division over. The Johnsons will get a first-round bye.
It's possible the Johnsons are the only team in Didier to make the playoffs, and all five teams in the Tate could advance. The Floyds lead the Tate at 8-3 and the Clissos, meanwhile, are the league's leading scorer and just a game back.
No other team is officially in the playoffs or eliminated, but 8 wins is historically enough to qualify, and the tiebreaker for the final spots will usually be at 7 or even 6 wins. So the Floyds are going to be in, likely the Clissos, too, while QMaster and the Plow Kings will need to win their final three, and hope to get into a tiebreaker situation for the final spot to qualify. Everybody else jockeying to get to at least 7 wins. Still lot that can happen over the next three games to determine the last three seeds.
Thank you to the Academy for cutting off that acceptance speech.
We've got a sole survivor! Congrats to the the Big Johnsons our Survivor pool winner. Carolina losing knocked out the Pink Floyds, while John had Denver this week.
The Johnsons and Floyds both won in the Survivor pool and advance to Week 10.
