It was points last year as well for the fourth spot. I personally like it because the head to head matchups are luck as a person can have a great team and a bad record. Having that point based spot rewards a team that has great points and was unlucky on the random matchups.

If I remember correctly, last year it was 3 division winners and then whoever had the next highest record ? Did they change it this year ? Just curious is all

Three spots go to the division winners. Fourth goes to the highest point total of the non division winners. I feel your pain, I finished 10 points behind pcc24 for that last spot.
