Had no idea they changed it. Completely stopped paying attention in playoffs, because the year before the “consolation bracket” was pointless. Not complaining, my mistake for somehow missing it. But I’m selling any rosters I’ve got left here anyway. Not interested in keeper leagues; and with these short benches that’s essentially what it is. If I gotta scramble every season to get picks for talent I don’t wanna cut in the first place, thats a keeper league. Doesnt matter whether it’s 2 or 5 or 14. Fantasy is always determined by health it seems, but with this setup that’s magnified even more. So whatever, I tried it, got a couple of decent rosters, but I’m out.

Also, having to win to get the top pick, and winning being the only way to get it, is stupid. Just cause a roster isn’t in the playoffs doesn’t mean it’s trying to tank. Oftentimes it’s just been devastated by injury. Having to win in the post season to get the pick you “earned” is counterintuitive.

Unfortunately there is no perfect way to handle the draft order. You have owners who tank or don't update their lineups when eliminated from the playoffs. I find it difficult to believe they handled the 'lottery' style redraft properly. I had the worst record but ended up picking 6th. It would be highly unlikely that the other 5 teams would all fall in front of me if the places were weighted appropriately. I also don't agree with how it is handled the new way either. To have teams win to get the top pick basically doesn't give the worst teams the better picks like it should. Maybe this is a trial season for the new consolation bracket. I would personally try 'Best Ball' in the consolation bracket. You still give the better teams the better picks probably. Again, no perfect way to do it.

Yes, it has changed. The consolation bracket now determines the 1-6 draft order. If you won the “losers” bracket, you get the 1st pick. Loser of that final consolation game gets 2nd pick. Third place consolation determines 3/4. Only thing that I don’t understand is how the 5/6 is determined.
