I agree with Psycho Trade Guy, especially about how the trade calculators don’t take full rosters into consideration. As a reference, in a different league I’m in, I received a trade offer of a QB for my RB, and in the comments he wrote “my trade calculator says this is a win-win for both of us. Let’s do it!”! And if you’re just looking at player for player, it probably was a fair deal. The problem is the QB I would be getting was worse than the QB. I already had, so I’d basically be getting a backup QB,, and I would’ve been giving up one of my starting RBs, a position that I was already weak at.
And tbh, there’s players that I just like or dislike, so I value them differently. Back in the day, even though Antonio Brown was a great player, he was a disgusting human being, and I wouldn’t have added to my roster, no matter what. The same with Michael Vick. The only way I would’ve added him to my roster was if the real life Michael Vick was fed to the dogs.

Trade calc sites.... I'll chime in that they can be helpful....definitely not the 'be all' to making trades. They can't factor in the entire league format or the overall roster for each team. It may look like a lopsided trade on paper but--for instance, 3 start-able players for 1 superstar can make absolute sense if you're starting 2 horrific guys along with 1 stud...that won't factor into any calculator site. Likewise, a team may have more than 14 keeper-type players at the deadline....Sites can't factor in that these 3 guys are going to get cut so if I can trade them for a pick it's better than nothing..... I promise we all can offer trades that the calculator loves but you (calc site guys) won't accept because you like your guy better..and that's totally fine....so please don't send me a screenshot of the trades the calc says pass on when you choose to pass on others that it calculates in your favor. Can't have it both ways---plus I personally don't give a crap what some site says you should or shouldn't accept...either decline or counter :) no big deal!!!!!! Im done, Good Luck Fools!!!

Owners, my apologies for starting the trade discussion distractions. I’ve received several offers recently, including one from AwflWafl 2, I’d seriously consider. However, I’m not renewing this team for the upcoming season. Therefore, I’m unable to accept or reject trades. Thanks and good luck this upcoming season!

Don't be sorry man, it's all in good fun and part of fantasy, makes things more fun and entertaining! Thanks for being a good sport and best of luck to you as well!

I just saw the meme under leagues news 🤣. Actually pretty funny, don't think I'm the most deserving, but thank you for the award

I'll give you the award for most enticing team for sale! I have no idea how your team hasn't been purchased with James Conner as one of your top players

I agree, I mostly just use it as a guide. I could never offer something that was way off in value, so I always double check to make sure it’s close or kinda fair. Good talk gentlemen!!

You should see some of the offers I’ve been getting, not going to name names, but pretty ridiculous offers. I would suggest using fantasycalc.com it’s usually a pretty good tool.

I respectfully disagree. And I agree with AwfulWafl’s last statement. Each team could value a player completely different regardless of what some trade value site thinks. Imo people using trade value sites is really ruining fantasy football. It’s supposed to be fun and your own challenge of building a team. But some people seem to think that these trade value sites are law/fact. They’re not. They’re just some guys opinion. Just like mock drafts, sites are built to get clicks and views. Nothing more. Just because the guy who created the trade chart thinks one thing doesn’t mean it’s right. It’s just his opinion, and he’ll be wrong as much as you and I, because no one can predict the future. And just because some trade site says one thing, doesn’t mean that the team you tried to trade with feels the same. It’s about each team and their value of a player.

I do agree that trade calculators in general are ruining fantasy football and how people look at fantasy football. I think solely using it, and abiding by everything on there is crazy and takes away a lot of the fun of fantasy football. But I would also be lying if I said I didn't use them for a general guideline on player value. And when looking at a trade I do try to go by general consensus. I'm a big over thinker so getting that extra validation that I'm sending a fair(ish) trade makes me feel better, and keeps me/trade partner from getting scammed

Value wise those are both fair trades. I can absolutely see how you wouldn't want to do them, but they're not outlandish terrible trades like you're making it seem. I don't know what players you are high on/not, so can't hurt to offer (as long as it's *somewhat* reasonable and not completely disrespectful which I think they are) A lot of teams are inactive/haven't renewed at this time of season so they haven't looked at trades very much so I send them. you can always counter or tell me you have 0 interest in a player, and I'll stop sending trades with that player. Everyone has people they like more than general consensus, and maybe that's one of the people I'm offering to you. Someone might think Cade Otton is gonna feast with Evans gone or that Shough is bad and doesn't think he'll be good.
