Mag, I apologize for posting my comment public,. I meant to click on the drop-down box and make it private, but forgot to before I clicked post. I corrected it immediately, but that’s too late. I also didn’t mean for my opinion to sound like I was calling you out. I was just telling you my opinion. And opinions are definitely not fact, just an opinion.
As far as Stroud vs Nabers value and where they would be selected in a draft, there is two important variables that I’m taking in account when I’m basing my opinion that Stroud would be drafted before Nabers.
1- I’m basing this opinion on it being a Super Flex league, and not a PPR league. In a PPR league there is no doubt Nabers would be drafted before Stroud.
2- My opinion is also strictly based on THIS league and the upcoming draft. In a startup league, it would probably go different. However, in THIS league all of the legit starting QBs are currently being held and teams are clinging to them like life rafts. Some teams have even held NFL BACKUP QBs on their roster for multiple years (and understandably so). Combine that with there only being 1 or 2 viable incoming rookie QBs in this draft, who will be taken almost immediately, and I feel that increases Strouds value.
In my opinion, I’m also slightly including the fact that Nabers is returning from a serious injury, he plays in a poor offense, that will probably be even more run heavy now, and also considering (just a little) how poorly Brian Thomas Jr looked last season, after he actually outplayed Nabers, in their first seasons.
If Stroud and Nabers were both cut today and available in this draft, IMO Stroud would be drafted before Nabers (in THIS league). In the end, I agree that Nabers would be taken before Stroud 9 out of 10 times. However, I feel like THIS league is the 10th time.
But that’s the fun of fantasy football. We all have our own strategies and opinions, and we let them play out and see how we do. In the end, it’s all just fun.
