Playoffs - Week 2 - Recap

By The Commissioner Tue Dec 9 7:17pm ET

The second week of the playoffs brought the remaining teams into play as the division winners joined the coliseum.  This weekend also brought inclement weather for several games, impacting performances.  Some struggled while others thrived.  And those playing indoors had solid games.  Let’s get to the action.

Playoffs

The Official’s Timeout (6-7) vs. Montgomery $Bills (7-5).  This was a tightly contested match down to the wire on Monday night.  The Official’s Timeout held on for an 89-85 victory over Montgomery $Bills.

NY KILLERS (7-6) vs. The Faulk Yo’ Couch Ninjas! (9-3).  This was one of those inclement weather games that impacted play, and the injury bug reared its head again at an inopportune time.  The NY KILLERS kept The Faulk Yo’ Couch Ninjas!’ feet on the floor with a 74-48 victory.

The Dream Killers (7-5-1) vs. Gotham City Enforcers (6-5-1).  After losing their last matchup, the Gotham City Enforcers got their lick back with an 80-73 victory.

Black Water (7-6) vs. Dart Dynasty (7-5).  Dart Dynasty kept it rolling against Black Water with a 62-44 win.

Mudd Butt (7-6) vs. REGULATORS (9-3).  Mudd Butt muddied the REGULATORS, 55-23.

2TRILL Chevy Rider (8-5) vs. Juke Move (8-4).  This battle was close throughout the match.  Then, 2TRILL Chevy Rider pulled off from Juke Move with an 80-47 victory.

West Point Green Waves (8-5) vs. Gatorbait (8-4).  The Green Waves washed out Gatorbait, 78-62.

Jones Boys (8-5) vs. The Lion King!!! (10-2).  The Jones Boys delivered a devastating blow late in this matchup and scarred The Lion King!!! with the 116-105 victory.

Toilet Bowl

Unbeatable By You (6-7) vs. Dak to the Future (5-8).  Unbeatable By You was unbeatable again with a 49-45 win over Dak to the Future.

Cooper Road Cougars (6-7) vs. Whodat Homeboys (2-11).  The Whodat Homeboys get their first consecutive wins of the season with the 120-27 victory over the Cougars.

This was an exciting week of playoff action.  We had a lot of games that came down to the wire and some that kept us at the edge of our seats.  Also, the division winners went 2-6 this weekend, reminding us that the bonus points don’t always create an advantage.

Next week will bring us to the conference round, and the Toilet Bowl winner will be decided.

See you next week!!!
