Fish Ticklers Celebrate! Smelling a Title Run?

What a crazy Quarterfinals of the playoffs, this is why the games are played.  Fresh off their lottery wins to even sneak into the playoffs, both #5 seeds shocked the heavy favorites to make the championship, in the first times since 2008, both lottery teams winning their matchups.  Both the Express and Cheeseheads were longshots to win, and even on Sunday, both teams chances were looking pretty bleak.  The Express duing the Sunday afternoons games chances fell to a mere 4%, while Cheeseheads sat at 2% for a majority of Sunday after the Brew Crew got a career game on Thursday from Kyle Pitts.  Big Les saw his tight end score 46 points Thursday night, to dwindle Tori's chances to just 7%.  Throw in the way the Brew Crew have scored points this year and it seemed like a done deal.  Tori then saw several more blows hit in the Sunday morning games.  TreVeon Henderson was looking like he may be held in check, but then a 50 yard td scamper and a 65 yard run to the house all of a sudden had Brew Crew way out in front, Henderson finishing with 39 fantasy points.   Throw in Patrick Maholmes leaving with an injury for Cheeseheads and it was game over.  Tori fell to 2% and stayed there for quite a while.  But the Sunday afternoon games is where it all turned around for her and the other lottery team JH Express.  Spankyz was riding high, his players were blowing it up, but looked good enough with a couple Lamar Jackson TDs, and James Cook going off for 32 points to look like he was going to advance.  But in a late 10 minute window, during 4th quarter action of the Sunday afternoon games, Cody Parkinson came to life with 2 TDs, Jared Goff hit Jameison Williams with a 40 yard TD, and the on but mainly off RJ Harvey ran in a td, to all of a sudden boost the Express from a 17% chance to win to an 85% chance.  As for Tori and her Cheeseheads. Amon St Brown couldnt be stopped,  he had two touchdowns and 164 yards to get 42 fantasy points, and Chris Olave, who was held in check all day, scored a late TD for Saints and Tori to give her 18 points there.  While JH Express had a 25 point lead going into Sunday nights/Mondays game.  Tori wasn't so fortunate. She had a lead, but Big Les still had red hot George Pickens and Dak Prescott on Sunday night. Tori countered with Javonte Williams and tight end TJ Hockenson.  Les was only down about 14 points, but in a stunning outcome, Hockenson outscored Pickens 14-6, Williams punched in a TD for Cheeseheads and Dak had no touchdows and just 14 points for one of his lowest scoring out puts of the year.  Both Brew Crew and Spankyz were now the heavy underdogs heading into Monday nights game.  Crew still have Deveon Achane while Spankyz had Jaylen Waddle.  The resurgent Dolphins had been scoring alot latley, but by end of the third quarter it looked all but over as Dolphins had only 3 points and Tua only 66 yards in the air.  Achane was held in check, and the upsets were complete.  The lottery teams were moving on!

To complete the underdog theme, both #3 Seeds also dumped the #2 seeds they were going against.  Kelly's 85 Bears also enjoyed a late rally by led by Brock Purdys big Sunday afternoon day of 34 points and Trey McBrides 32, to outlast Jamodaddy 109-101.  The loss ends the dream season and great ride Cam was on.  It kept Kellys hopes of back to back championships alive as he advances to play Cheeseheads.  And Fish Ticklers pulled away by the afternoon games on Sunday to beat Injured Reserves 146-115.  Jrods team was very balanced with rookie QB Tyler Shough scoring late to get 22 points and salvage his day, and the other were all over 20 points including Bijan Robinsons 29, Puka Nukas 28, Da Bears 25 and a surprise Jason Myers the Seattle kicker with 20 points.  With all the field goals that ruined Mikeys Seahawk players Kenneth Walker and Jaxon Smith-Njgiba from getting into the endzone.  The Fish Ticklers now move on to play The Express with a great chance to make his first championship game.  Cheeseheads also are looking to get to her first championship matchup.  While Kelly looks to make his 4th and the Express looks to win for the first time since 2007.

In Consolation action, some good teams emerged, Suckaditka, Captain Cavemen both won big to meet in the next round.  And Sea-Chickens and the surprising A-Dawgs both won to meet up this week.   Norm Buds held off Farm Cats in a fitting 73-62 win in the Toilet Bowl.  Both teams put up the lowest scores for the week.  On Friday we will have the predictioins article, the Commish didnt do so good last week.
