The Lovely Ladies of the League Strike Back

It was a week of ladies ruling the day!  Some of the teams in our league have hovered near the bottom of the standings as we have progressed to the half way point of the season.  Farm Cats and Molsack had hovered near or at the bottom of their division, while Suckaditka has been at or a little below .500.  Only Tori's Cheeseheads have remained strongly competitive during the first half of the league.  But last week, the ladies striked back as all of them recorded victories, while some of them got the coveted 2 victory weeks to vault up the standings.

Let's start at the bottom, Brittany's poor Farm Cats were the last winless team entering into Week 7.  But, the day finally arrived, as the Farm Cats got off the mat, to take down Matt (like how i did that?) with a 111-92 win over the We've Got The Juice squad.  Brittany's bid to double up her wins did fall short losing to Wang n Tang 132-111, as Robby rallied midway thru to put the game away.  But, the goose egg is now gone!  Brittany has won!

Molsack wasn't that far ahead of the winless Farm Cats.  Molly's team sat with just 2 wins, but a very competitive week, highlighted by the Stafford to Devante Adams connection gave Molly a 123-94 win over the 85 Bears.  It was one of Molly's best scoring output, but her bid to also win 2 games fell short, ruined by first place Injured Reserves 149-123.  But, Molsack came alive in Week 7.

How about Cheeseheads as they try to stay in the playoff chase. Tori's team put up a whopping 144 points to outdo Brew Crew 144-115 AND a stunning victory, not maybe by the matchup as it was a toss up, but he margin of victory of 144-54 win over the former Carlos Spicy Wiener.  The 90 point victory is currently one of the biggest margins of victory for the year. The wins put the Cheeseheads at 8-4 and just a 1 1/2 now behind the Brew Crew, who she took down, for first place and prompted Tori to even lead the charge to set a Sunday Funday date of Nov. 9th for all to come!

Lastly, the lovely Carrie Stocker has vaulted into contention with a league high for the year 163 point output to outclass the outmanned Norm Buds 163-70 and completed the two game sweep by also beating Jamodaddy 163-92.  The wins have now put Carrie at a four game winning streak at puts her record for the year at 7-5.  Last week Carrie had huge week from Bo Nix and his 45 fantasy points, that all mainly happened in the fourth quarter. Also scoring over 20 points were Quinshan Judkins, D'Andre Swift, Micheal Pittman and AJ Brown who finally woke up to score some points.  The wins now have Carrie move into 5th place and just one game out of a playoff spot.

Other notable games, overshadowed by the ladies performances were Injured Reserves big win over Spankyz 149-74 in a matchup of first place teams.  The win by Mikey now has him in first place all by himself in the Big Penix Division. With Spankyz losing both games, Mike has a comfortable 2 game cushion for first over Spanks and 3 games over Dart Knight and Fish Ticklers.

Captain Caveman has also quietly moved into contention winning both games last week and 3 out of his last 4 to move back to .500 at 6-6 and just 2 games out of the playoffs.  Travis was tettering on the edge of irrelevance, but saved his season with the recent winning streak, scoring 144 points last week in beating Wang n Tang and Spankyz.

And lastly the hard luck Sea-Chickens finally found the right formula of players as Jimmie has had to shuffle his lineup so much with injuries to win both games with a 146 point effort, by far his best of the year.  Jimmie has alot of ground to make up despite winning both games last week sits at 3-9, but they were must have wins for Jimmie to have any shot going forward.  With players getting healthy, Jimmie has a chance to salvage his season.
