Jimmie had the worst injuries to happen to a team

Not sure if you all noticed, but seldom has a team been snake bit as Jimmie Jensen's Sea-Chickens were last week.  I tease the lead here, as we will get back to what happened to poor Jimmie a little bit down the article, but first lets do a quick recap on what happened last week:

We highlighted the 4 undefeated teams last week, and 3 of them went down.  The former Carlos Spicy Wiener and now the former Penix Envy, had a tough go of it, in part due to Micheal Penix play last week.  He was only able to secure 4 points in his awful showing against the lowly Panthers and the forgotten little brother of Dane, Jared Wilson, went in for the kill with a 125-84 shilacking. It was a big win for the Fish Ticklers as you all remember, gave Spankyz a run for his money in Week 1 and bounced back from a poor Week 2.  Jamodaddy was also undefeated and by our polling numbers the weakest of the 4 undefeated teams.  They came up short against Spankyz 153-117, but was able to salvage a win against Cheeseheads 117-90, so all was not lost.  Brew Crews late surge was not enough to keep him undefeated as Big Les fell to Injured Reserves 115-109.  The Crew, like the Jamodaddys, was able to salvage one win against the lovely and talented Carrie Stocker and her Suckaditka team 109-102. And lastly Spankyz remains the last of the undefeated teams.  Janke with his convincing 153-117 win over Jamodaddy and 153-126 win over the Norm Buds, not only kept him unbeaten, it was now the second time in three weeks his team put up the most points.  This must set alarm bells through the league as it looks like Spankyz is undeniably the early favorite in our hottly contested league.  But, we have a long, long ways to go.

Some other notable teams making noise, how about the A-Dawgs?  Aaron Lennon is off to another hot start beating two teams by the same score!  He won 125-75 over both JH Express and the Sea-Chickens (more on them later).  This put A-Dawg at 4-1 in the early campaign!!  Aaron has gotten off to similar hot starts only to fall off mid-season, mainly due to lineup neglect.  We shall see if this year is different, but great stuff for the two time champion! (yes he did win the whole league, twice!!).  85 Bears showed by they are the defending champ also winning two games to get back over .500 at 3-2.  Kellys team bounced back with wins over two game opponents, outpacing the tough luck Norm Buds 135-125 and pulling away late over the Farm Cats 135-109. Injured Reserves also now 3-1 scored two big wins, against the previously mentioned Brew Crew and the new team We've Got the Juice 115-76.  And Wang & Tang played one game this week and got the win 90-76 over Molsack to move to 3-1 as well.

Teams still not able to get a win yet are the Farm Cats and Molsack at 0-4 and the tough luck Norm Buds, that even though they rank 5th in the league in scoring are a suprising 0-5.

And finally, the lead I teased earlier, no one has to feel worse for his team than Jimmie Jensen's Sea-Chickens.  He probably had the worse weekend ever for a team.  Going into the game Jimmies team was most thin at running back.  He was only carrying three on his roster, with one of them an injured Tajae Spears who is probably a week or two from coming back from injury.  His top running back James Connor, who in the past has been known to be injury prone, got bite, with a torn ACL and done for the year.  Follow that up with his keeper pick Tyrone Tracy from the Giants, who he only lost a 10th round pick to keep went down after 4 carries with a hard hit to the shoulder.  He will be out for at least this week, and could now be in jeporday of losing even more snaps when he comes back, with the way Bo Scattaboo played in his absense, gaining over 120 all purpose yards.  Not done yet, his first round pick, Cee Dee Lamb, got his ankle rolled up on (its pretty squimish looking if you google it) and was taken out of the game fairly early for the Cowboys and now will be out 3-4 weeks, but when you see it, it's lucky it was not worse.  No one needed the waiver wire more this week than Jimmie with 0 healthy running backs now on his roster.  He plugged the holes with Chris Rogriguez and Jeremy McNichols, both from the Commanders in hoping to at least combine the two for one good score.  And a flurry of pickups at wide reciever with Darnell Money and speedster Tyquon Thornton picked up to fill the big void left by Lamb.  We will see if Sea-Chickens can stay afloat with all these injuries happening all at once.
