Janke, Daner, Cam and Da BEAST all sit perfect

Is the cream of the league rising to the top already?  After two weeks we are down to 4 teams that are undefeated.  If we took a poll before the season started on which four teams would be undefeated at this point, I think 3 of the four people would be on the list.  First off, friend of the league, and the author of words of wisdom that he bestows upon the league each year, a Mr. Dane Wilson and his Penix Envy squad are one of the undefeateds. Dane's squad moved to 3-0 by taking out rookie Matt Shears and his upstart We've Got the Juice team in a low scoring 82-71 score.  In fact, Dane had the lowest amount of points to post a victory last week.  The title inspired Micheal Penix only had 6 points for the Envy team, but sadly Matt was betrayed by a dismal Monday night performance from Geno "time to throw a pick" Smith and his 3 interceptioin effort that only produced 5 measly fantasy points for the Juice, missing a golden opportunity to steal a win.  Dane takes on baby brother Jrod and his up and down Fish Ticklers this week to keep the streak going.

Another person most would have chosen is perenial contender Jared Janke and his Spankz team. After leading the league in scoring in Week 1, Spankyz fell down to earth a bit but still got the job done against Jimmie Jensen's Sea-Chickens 116-93 behind monster games from Lamar Jackson and James Cook.  With the production from those two, plus big game potential from Derrick Henry each week is gonna make it tough for Spankyz to be beat.  He takes on the Norm Buds this week where he is a 6.5 point favorite and Jamodaddy where he favored by an astounding 17 points??

Speaking of Jamodaddy, this is one team that would probably not be on the list of undefeated teams going into Week 3, but there Cam Smith's team sits.  The out-of-towner, mostly unknown of the league is a team that has lived on the .500 line each and every year, and occasionally will sneak into a third slot for the playoffs. Cam started hot last year, where we thought "this may be the year" only to fall back and miss the postseason.  Jamo hasn't won convincingly in either of his two weeks.  He beat Molsack in week one 82-81 then this week outlasted Wang & Tang 106-99.  Team does have some workhorses with Nico Collins, Jonathan Smith and Jordan Love but they currently rank 15th out of 18 in overall scoring and just 4 points ahead of 16ht ranked Farm Cats.  So will the luck continue this week versus Spankyz?  But to look at it another way, his team hasn't lived up to its scoring potential yet and is still 2-0.  Not only does he play Spankyz, Cheeseheads are also on the schedule, with Tori Lemke coming off the leauges biggest scoring week as she put up 152 points last week, is 2-1, and are favored over the undefeated Jamodaddy by 5 1/2 points.

The last of the four horseman is our friend the cuddly and soft spoken BEAST!!!  Beast made headlines during the draft for many reasons.  First off for traveling up from Boise to be here! Second, for drinking many gobblets of beverage before the draft, many more during the draft, and some on the course after the draft, and arguably shooting the best golf, (even better than the golf master Mark Doucet??) Third, in classic Beast fashion, Les had much to say about his own team and the drafting by his opponents. Even the young rookie Matt was not spared by the barrage of words from the mouth of THE BEAST.  And Fourth, i do believe we had a nostalgic "i guarantee victory" that the Beast was known for in his younger years when prediciting who was going to win it all this year.  So far, Beast and the Brew Crew has backed it up!  Brew Crew racked up two wins with an easy 123-80 win over Captain Caveman and a surprising come from behind struggle against the Farm Cats 123-112.  But, despite the slight struggle it put Les at 3-0 and tied with the best record with Dane.  Now the Beast matches up against a feisty Carrie Stocker and her Suckaditka team, where Les is only a 4 1/2 point favorite.   He also does battle with Mikey Peters and his Injured Reserves who are 1-1 and currently a 9 point favorite against da BEAST.

It will be a fun weekend to see who stays perfect this week.  At least one will fall with Spankyz and Jamodaddy doing battle.  Will we have 3 left? two left? or will all fall??
