What a Season 2025 turned out to be!!!

This email will be long, so I apologize in advance, but these things need to be attended to, in order to make Higdon's FFL even better.

Again, This will be lengthy because it is the last one for this year!

Let's get right to it!

Don't' Get Cute:

The Ickey Shuffles had a dream match-up with Mr. Bill (33 points) against the Cowboys and decided to play back-up R. White. This decision was the factor for the victory and REPEAT Champion for The Whiteclaw Butt Chuggers. This pains me so much...Now I will give props as painful as it is because Tommy had a clean sweep this season by Winning the Division, the Super Bowl, and Total Points. The Drake Maye pick was huge as he will probably win MVP. The Michael Wilson (Free-Agent) was even bigger down the stretch. Jonathan Taylor, George Pickens and James Cook turned out to be the punch to carry many victories during his campaign run. How about Traveyon Henderson with some huge weeks as well. Everything he touched turned to GOLD, which is why I am convinced he sold his Soul. Let's give the Ickey Shuffles some props though because this is one of the highest finishes John has ever put together for Higdon's FFL. Olave, King Henry, Amon-Ra and Goff were big for this squad. Still gotta question starting Goff on the road against the Vikes D when Baker was available against the Phins??? Things that make you go Hmm...

It turned out to be a Great Super Bowl for those that missed it for the #1 Seed - Tommy (AKA - The Whiteclaw Buttchuggers) and the #3 Seed - John (AKA - The Ickey Shuffles)

This Super Bowl started strong for The Whiteclaw Buttchuggers with a lack luster Thursday performance in scoring from the Ickey Shuffles. Thursday's performance had 4 starters go from The Ickey Shuffles totalling only 33 points and I thought it was all but over...Then, comes King Henry with a 52 point effort on Saturday against the Packers...Now, we have a game...But now, we move onto Sunday's contests and here comes Drake Maye with 5 TD passes and a 47 point effort against the hapless Jets!!! The Ickey Shuffles battle back as Chris Olave throws up a 30 burger to still make it a contest. But he needed a big effort from Devonta Smith against the Bills...This game turned out to be a Defensive contest in the rain and there wasn't any Offense. In the end, The Butt Chuggers were just too dominant this season and now gets our Cash and the honor of re-naming Blake/Scott (aka Rest In Peace). Btw, Their season needed to Rest In Peace because this was one of the worst efforts ever accounted for Higdon's FFL. Puke!!! Final Score The Whiteclaw Butt Chuggers 167 points to The Ickey Shuffles 143.8 points

Oh what could have been Mr. Bill (aka Jacory Croskey Meritt)

The Total Points race was a Blow-Out because The Whiteclaw Butt Chuggers dominated with 2,792 points. The next closest team was Big Daddy with a strong stretch run and tallied 2,631 points. Let me give an Honorable Mention for the Thundernuts as he finally showed he can be relevant with a strong season of 2,592 points. Let's give another Honorable Mention to the New Blood (AKA - The Other Guys). Not only did the Finish 2nd in the Division, they also were right there in Total Points with 2,550. However, All props and a very Nice job and the #1 overall seed The Whiteclaw Buttchuggers will walk with $700 of the League's hard earned money.

In other news:

Lot's on the Horizon for next year:

I do think we tightened down the luck aspect with the scheduling, but I also think it should go to Top 6 get Wins and Bottom 6 get Losses for each Week

The reason is because there were some weeks this past season where only 4 people got Wins because one team scored an overwhelming number of points and made the League Average rise to such a number that wasn't fair

I do think the best teams actually made the Play-Offs

I am always open to suggestions and always there will be a vote on the subject at hand

Many Owners would like to decrease the roster from 20 Players down to a max of 17, so there will be more on the Waiver Wire during the season (I am not opposed to this at all)

Here are a few other suggestions that have been made:

I say we go back to Only 1 Week of Position Week - Check
Leave Priority Waiver Wire open all season - Check
Leave Priority Waiver Wire prior to Week 1 games - Check
Have Final Play-Off Spot decided by Total Points not Record - TBD???

We have to figure out a way to get the best teams to the Play-Offs. Too many teams made the Play-Offs just by getting Lucky on the schedule. We have to come up with a way to make sure the BEST teams are getting in.
