When asked about the possibility about the New Orleans Saints brining in a more experienced quarterback after Derek Carr's sudden retirement, head coach Kellen Moore said that "we'll give these guys a bunch of opportunities" before making any calls on adding outside help at the position. The team has moved into the third phase of their offseason workouts and are doing on-field work for QBs Spencer Rattler, Jake Haener, rookie second-rounder Tyler Shough and Hunter Dekkers. Moore said it will be "a lot on the process and less on the results as we go through this phase." Even though Rattler has the most experience under center in the NFL heading into his second year, Shough is the current favorite to win the starting gig in training camp this summer. The Saints aren't looking at outside help right now, but that could change if Shough struggles as the team gets closer to training camp.

SI.com's John Shipley writes that Jacksonville Jaguars rookie two-way star Travis Hunter looked to take a noticeable step forward in his first OTA practice on Monday after he looked like he was learning to become a full-time receiver during rookie minicamp. Hunter was crisper in his routes, showed consistent hands and was able to make a number of plays in team drills on Monday. There will be a progression to the 22-year-old's game at the NFL level, but it's a good sign that he's already showing improvement, and Shipley writes that Hunter will obviously play a major role in the Jags' offense in 2025 and beyond. Jacksonville appears to prefer to use the second overall pick on offense rather than defense early in his career, but it's still too early to say how much exactly he'll factor in on offense in 2025. The Heisman Trophy winner has the skill to be the No. 2 wideout immediately, but his fantasy value will depend on how much he's also used on defense.
From RotoBaller
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Dyami Brown, who was picked up in free agency in the offseason, stood out in the team's first OTA practice on Monday, according to SI.com's John Shipley. Shipley writes that Brown made it clear that defenses will not be able to afford considering him an afterthought alongside Brian Thomas Jr. and rookie first-rounder Travis Hunter. Brown ran crisp routes and was one of the few receivers who didn't deal with drops while making explosive plays through the air and on designed touches as a ball-carrier. The 25-year-old earned praise from both head coach Liam Coen and offensive coordinator Grant Udinski. Brown, a former third-rounder by the Washington Commanders in 2021 out of North Carolina, mostly lingered at the bottom of the wideout depth chart in D.C. However, he could become the No. 2 WR if Hunter spends most of his time on defense in 2025.

Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson (Achilles) has been throwing to receivers Jerry Jeudy and David Bell at the team's facility and has been out of his walking boot for several weeks, a league source told The Cleveland Plain Dealer's Mary Kay Cabot. However, Watson is not part of the offseason QB competition among Kenny Pickett, Joe Flacco and rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders. The 29-year-old Watson had a second surgery on his Achilles back on Jan. 9 and is not expected to be ready to play at the start of the 2025 season this fall. In fact, he's widely expected to miss all of the 2025 campaign, with many believing that he's already played his last game for the Browns. Still, Watson has made "excellent progress" in his recovery from a torn right Achilles that he suffered last season. But given his injury and his off-field drama, Watson's NFL future remains very murky.

Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams said he was "feeling good" about the possibility of him reaching a long-term contract extension with the team. "I know with time it's going to happen," Williams added. The two sides started talking about a potential extension in late March, but nothing has been agreed upon yet. The 24-year-old former fifth-round pick (164th overall) in 2022 out of Notre Dame was a first-time Pro Bowler in 2023 but was even better last year, rushing for a career-best 1,299 yards and a career-high 14 rushing touchdowns on 316 rushing attempts in 16 regular-season starts. He also added 34 receptions for 182 yards and another two TDs. In the last two years for the Rams, Williams has been as productive as they come, finding the end zone 31 times in 28 games. He was the RB6 in half-PPR scoring in 2024 and will be a clear RB1 target this fall in fantasy drafts.

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. said that he added muscle this offseason as a result of eating the right foods. "I definitely put on some pounds," Harrison said on Monday at the team's facility. "I think I added some muscle to my body a little bit. Still just trying to see how my body feels throughout OTAs. Kind of get that specific weight to settle in for training camp and go from there." The 22-year-old had high expectations in his rookie year in 2024 with Arizona after being the fourth overall pick, but he didn't live up to them after catching 62 passes for 885 yards and eight touchdowns. He thinks that "contested-catch situations, run after the catch" will be areas that he can improve in 2025 now that he's stronger and bigger. Tight end Trey McBride took a lot of targets away from Harrison, but he shouldn't have much competition for targets otherwise as he looks to improve in Year 2.

The San Francisco 49ers and All-Pro linebacker Fred Warner agreed to terms on a new three-year contract extension on Monday worth $63 million, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The deal makes Warner the league's highest-paid linebacker, and he'll also receive $56.7 million guaranteed. The 28-year-old former third-rounder (70th overall) in the 2018 NFL draft out of BYU has been a Pro Bowler and first-team All-Pro in four of the last five seasons for the 49ers. Warner has recorded 100-plus total tackles in all seven of his NFL seasons and finished the 2024 campaign with 131 tackles (76 solo), a sack, five tackles for loss, two interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), seven pass breakups and four forced fumbles in 17 starts. Warner finished as the No. 6 fantasy linebacker in IDP leagues last year and will once again be a must-start in those formats in 2025.

The Green Bay Packers announced on Monday that they signed first-round wide receiver Matthew Golden to his four-year rookie deal, according to general manager Brian Gutekunst. Golden will receive a fully-guaranteed $17.57 million with a signing bonus of $9.42 million, according to OverTheCap.com. The Packers took the 21-year-old pass-catcher in the first round at the end of April, the first time they had taken a receiver in the first round since 2002. The 5-foot-11, 191-pounder caught 58 passes for 987 yards and nine touchdowns at Texas in 2024. Golden should play right away in Green Bay, especially with Christian Watson (knee) potentially out for half the season. He will primarily be a field-stretcher for the Packers and could be a boom/bust fantasy commodity in his first NFL campaign in a wideout corps that also includes Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks.
From RotoBaller
The Cleveland Browns have signed rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders to a four-year contract worth $4.6 million. NFL Insider Jordan Schultz reported the news. Much has been made about the Colorado product's epic draft-day slide, and now it's up to him to prove the league wrong. Whether he's an NFL-caliber quarterback remains to be seen, but he's undoubtedly motivated to start his climb up Cleveland's quarterback depth chart. Accuracy is Sanders' superpower, but he needs to play more within the confines of his game, particularly given his average athleticism. The good news is that the competition to head the Browns' offense is mostly wide open. Veteran Joe Flacco stands to get the first crack at the starting job unless Kenny Pickett can beat him out in training camp. From there, it's Sanders and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel, with Deshaun Watson (Achilles) unlikely to play in 2025.
From RotoBaller
NFL Insider Jordan Schultz reports that first-round rookie running back Omarion Hampton has agreed to a four-year, $17.77 million deal with the Los Angeles Chargers. The contract includes a $9.56 million signing bonus. Hampton and backfield mate Najee Harris are set to split time in Jim Harbaugh's offense, which caps the former Tar Heel's immediate upside. Still, his long-term outlook is looking quite rosy. Like Harris, the 22-year-old is a powerful, bruising back with a three-down skill set, though he possesses much more explosiveness than the veteran. Even if Hampton starts the season off behind his teammate in carries, it wouldn't be surprising to see him even out the workload over the course of the season -- if not outright taking the job if he adjusts quickly enough.

The Philadelphia Eagles and head coach Nick Sirianni agreed to an undisclosed long-term contract extension on Monday, according to The 33rd Team's Ari Meirov. It doesn't come as much of a surprise after Sirianni just helped lead the team to their second Super Bowl championship last season in a blowout win over the Kansas City Chiefs, who were looking to become the first team ever to win three straight championships. Sirianni was hired before the start of the 2021 season. Since then, the Eagles have made the playoffs four straight years with two Super Bowl appearances and won Lombardi Trophy. "Nick has embodied everything we were looking for in a head coach since we hired him four years ago. His authentic style of leadership, football intelligence, passion for the game, and growth mindset have helped to bring out the best in our team. I am excited for what the future holds for the Philadelphia Eagles," chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie said.
From RotoBaller
A part of his five-year, $265 million contract extension, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy received a full no-trade clause for the duration of the deal, sources told NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. Purdy gets financial security and control over his future in a deal that is expected to be finalized and become official soon. It wasn't completely Purdy's fault as to why he fell from being the QB6 to QB13 in overall fantasy points in the 2024 season. San Francisco's offense was behind the eight ball from the beginning of the year when they didn't have star running back until the second half of the season, and then he suffered a new injury that caused him to be shut down. Top wideout Brandon Aiyuk also suffered a season-ending injury. The 25-year-old signal-caller could rebound to QB1 levels with better health of his offensive weapons.

Denver Broncos linebacker Alex Singleton (knee) is expected to be ready for training camp, according to Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post. Singleton underwent surgery on his ACL last October, but he's on track in his recovery. "I can't give specific numbers, but we have practices in a few weeks, and you guys can see for yourselves where I'm at," Singleton said. "I'm getting my helmet fitted next week. Then, the first OTAs. All these happy moments. And then training camp. I think it'll be really cool to get to do those things and get to do that." Singleton only played in three games last season, but he still amassed 31 tackles, one quarterback hit, and one interception.

Free agent quarterback Aaron Rodgers "is not under consideration" for the New Orleans Saints, according to Jeff Duncan of NOLA.com. There had been some speculation that he could be a target for the Saints after Derek Carr retired, but it sounds like the team is not currently interested in the future Hall of Famer. Rodgers went 5-12 through 17 starts in his only full season with the Jets last year. He completed 63 percent of his passes for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. The four-time MVP is heavily favored to land with the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he'd have DK Metcalf and Pat Freiermuth at his disposal. However, at the moment, no deal is imminent. Meanwhile, the Saints appear satisfied with their current quarterback room of Tyler Shough, Spencer Rattler, and Jake Haener.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs running back Keaontay Ingram (undisclosed) cleared waivers and reverted to injured reserve last Friday, according to KPRC's Aaron Wilson. The Chiefs previously spoke highly of the 25-year-old running back, and he's now sticking around the organization after the rest of the NFL opted against claiming him. Ingram played in just one game with the Chiefs last year, but before that, he amassed 181 scrimmage yards and one touchdown through two seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. Ingram will miss the entire 2025 season unless he agrees to an injury settlement with Kansas City, which would result in his release.
From RotoBaller
Free-agent QB Aaron Rodgers (Jets) has not been considered as a possible option for the New Orleans Saint after QB Derek Carr's retirement.
Fantasy Spin: The Saints seem prepared to go with Tyler Shough or Spencer Rattler as their starting quarterback in 2025. Shough probably will enter training camp as the leading candidate for the job, but neither he nor Rattler are more than No. 2 fantasy quarterbacks.
From TheHuddle
Los Angeles Rams QB Matthew Stafford said he has been working out with WR Davante Adams this offseason and that Adams fits right in with the team.
Fantasy Spin: Adams will see a good amount of targets this upcoming season and could receive some favorable matchups with Puka Nacua on the other side. Adams will be a weekly starting receiver in all fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
Miami Dolphins running back De'Von Achane had a strong season of overall production in 2024, rushing 203 times for 907 yards and six touchdowns while securing 78 of his 87 targets for 592 yards and another six scores. However, the speedster out of Texas A&M said he "left a lot of yards on the table" a season ago. "I always want to try to hit 1,000 yards and then 500 yards (receiving)," Achane said"I feel like I can do that as far as how much I'm being used and like the pass game that I was last year because I had a lot of receptions, and me watching film I felt like I left a lot of plays or I felt like I could have did more." Achane finished as the RB6 in total half-PPR fantasy points last year despite the Miami offense regressing mightily compared to the first two seasons of the Mike McDaniel tenure. The 23-year-old played in all 17 games, which is promising after he missed six games in his rookie campaign. While Achane's rushing efficiency predictably dropped in 2024, he remains an explosive ball carrier with chunk-play upside anytime he has the ball in his hands. He's a clear RB1 in 2025, and he could push to be a top-five performer in his third NFL campaign.
From RotoBaller
Veteran free-agent safety Jamal Adams is still looking for a place to play in 2025, and his top choice is a return to the New York Jets. "I would love to be back with the Jets and, obviously, finish it the right way," Adams said. "Man, that would be a dream come true, just to patch up that relationship and kind of make it right." The 29-year-old was the No. 6 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft by the organization and earned two Pro Bowl nods and two All-Pro selections with the team. After just three seasons with the Jets, he and a fourth-round pick were dealt to the Seattle Seahawks for safety Bradley McDougald, two first-round picks, and a third-round pick. Last season, he appeared in three games for the Tennessee Titans and two games for the Detroit Lions. Overall, the LSU product has tallied 501 tackles, 21.5 sacks, seven forced fumbles, four interceptions, and 36 pass deflections in 85 career games. At this point in his career, he is more of a depth piece.

Detroit Lions DB Avonte Maddox is expected to be used as a backup at slot cornerback and safety, according to safeties coach Jim O'Neil.
