Joe Flacco Oct 7 9:13pm ET
    Joe Flacco

Dynasty | The Browns have traded quarterback Joe Flacco to the Bengals. Dynasty Analysis: Flacco lost his job to Dillon Gabriel, who performed well enough in his first start for the Browns to feel comfortable moving forward without him. It's a move that's nominal as Flacco gets dealt to the Bengals in exchange for a flip-flop of 5th and 6th round picks. Still, the Browns get a little bit of value for a player they weren't planning on playing again this season anyway. Flacco will slide into the QB2 ranks again with the Bengals but they will need to be better in protection for him to do anything at all moving forward this season.

Joe Flacco Oct 7 9:13pm ET
    Joe Flacco

Dynasty | The Bengals have traded for Joe Flacco, moving Jake Browning to the bench. Dynasty Analysis: The player they acquired may be a surprise but the fact they acquired someone of note really isn't. Browning just hasn't played well this season and the season for the Bengals is on the brink of disaster. Browning will stay at the ready behind Flacco but he isn't roster worthy after this year's audition went horribly wrong.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Odell Beckham Jr. Oct 7 9:13pm ET
    Odell Beckham Jr.

Dynasty | Free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham has been suspended for six games for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing drugs. Dynasty Analysis: It may not mean a thing as Beckham still hasn't signed with a team. With this news, that makes it even more unlikely he lands with a club moving forward. It would honestly be a surprise if Beckham played in the NFL again as injuries have clearly zapped him of his immense talent. If you were somehow still holding on to him, it's time to let it go.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Hunter Long Oct 7 9:13pm ET
    Hunter Long

Dynasty | The Jaguars have placed tight end Brenton Strange on injured reserve. Dynasty Analysis: Strange is dealing with a hip injury that's now going to keep him out for at least a month. Poised for a breakout this year, Strange has posted a 20/204/0 line so far and been a bit of a disappointment. Hunter Long looks to be the beneficiary of his absence and could be a good pickup this week. Strange's ADP is likely to go down a touch with his rough start to 2025.

    From Dynasty League Fantasy

Omarion Hampton Oct 7 9:13pm ET
    Omarion Hampton

Dynasty | Nyheim Hines has signed on with the Chargers practice squad. Dynasty Analysis: If this is the biggest move the Chargers make, it bodes well for the likes of Hassan Haskins and Kimani Vidal. It seemed inevitable the Chargers would sign someone after the losses of both Najee Harris and Omarion Hampton but Hines isn't much of a threat to this duo. Hines would be worth a roster spot should he be elevated to the active roster but he'd also likely clog a roster a bit as his ceiling is likely as a third down or receiving back. In the end, this is bigger news for Haskins and Vidal than Hines.

Michael Pittman Jr. Oct 7 7:50pm ET
    Michael Pittman Jr.

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. continued his hot start to the season in a 40-6 win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 5. Pittman caught five of his six targets for 39 yards and a touchdown in the blowout win, giving him scores in four of his five games this year. The veteran receiver has been posting modest yardage totals as he's averaging 54.6 yards per game thus far, but he's emerged as Daniel Jones' favorite target so far. Pittman will look to stay hot in a Week 6 home matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals are allowing just the 20th-most fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts this season, but Pittman can be utilized as a WR3 heading into Week 6.

Darnell Washington Oct 7 7:50pm ET
    Darnell Washington

Despite finishing the game with just three catches for 20 yards, Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Darnell Washington was heavily involved in the Week 4 win over the Minnesota Vikings. Washington logged more snaps than any other Steelers tight end and was highly effective as a run-blocker, paving the way for running back Kenneth Gainwell's 99-yard rushing performance. According to head coach Mike Tomlin, Washington's increased utilization was by design. "You can't play 4-3 teams with 250-pound tight ends", Tomlin stated in a press conference on Tuesday. He also hinted that Washington could again see significant playing time in this week's divisional meeting with the Cleveland Browns, who boast a strong defensive front. The third-year pro isn't a fantasy option just yet, but if he continues to play ahead of Pat Freiermuth and Jonnu Smith again on Sunday, it will be worth monitoring whether that usage starts to show up in the box score.

    From RotoBaller

Josh Downs Oct 7 7:50pm ET
    Josh Downs

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Josh Downs turned in his best game of the season in a Week 5 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Downs caught six of his eight targets for a season-high 54 yards in a 40-6 blowout win on Sunday. The veteran wideout has been quiet to start the season, but he will hope his performance is a springboard to a larger role going forward. Downs will now prepare to host the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6. The Cardinals are allowing just the 20th-most fantasy points per game this year, but Downs should stay involved with Alec Pierce (concussion) expected to miss a third-straight game. Downs sets up as a WR5/flex option heading into Week 6.

    From RotoBaller

Tyler Warren Oct 7 7:50pm ET
    Tyler Warren

Indianapolis Colts tight end Tyler Warren has been one of the top rookies in the league this season. He stayed hot in a 40-6 win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 5, catching all four of his targets for 44 yards and a touchdown in the blowout win. Warren has now scored touchdowns in two straight games as he continues to operate as one of the top options in the Indy passing attack. The rookie will now turn his attention to a Week 6 home matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals have been a decent matchup for tight ends this season, allowing the 13th-most fantasy points per game to the position through five games. Warren sets up as a no-brainer TE1 in all fantasy leagues in Week 6.

    From RotoBaller

Jerry Jeudy Oct 7 7:40pm ET
    Jerry Jeudy

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy continued his slow start to the season in a Week 5 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in London. Jeudy finished with just two catches for 15 yards on five targets in the close loss to Minnesota. With Dillon Gabriel making his NFL debut, Jeudy finished third on the team in targets but was unable to do much with the looks, continuing what has been a disappointing campaign for Cleveland's No. 1 wideout. Jeudy now has just 15 catches for 197 scoreless yards through five games. He will hope to get things going in a Week 6 road matchup against a Pittsburgh Steelers defense that is allowing the seventh-most fantasy points per game to opposing receivers. That being said, Jeudy's production has been too poor to trust him in fantasy, even in a plus matchup.

    From RotoBaller

Daniel Jones Oct 7 7:40pm ET
    Daniel Jones

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones continued his hot start to the season in a 40-6 win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 5. Jones completed 20 of his 29 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns in the blowout victory. The veteran quarterback's performance has been one of the best stories of the season as he now has thrown for 1,290 yards, six touchdowns, and two interceptions while adding three more rushing touchdowns. Jones will now prepare to host an Arizona Cardinals defense that has been tough on opposing passers this year. That being said, Jones has been consistent enough to trust as a low-end QB1 heading into Week 6.

Tyreek Hill Oct 7 7:33pm ET
    Tyreek Hill

Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill is accused of shoving his wife on the floor, ripping her hair out and trying to punch her stomach while pregnant, according to court documents.

Fantasy Spin: On the filed, Hill's season is over due to a dislocated left knee and multiple ligament tears, including his ACL, during a game against the New York Jets on Sept. 29.

    From TheHuddle

Harold Fannin Jr. Oct 7 7:30pm ET
    Harold Fannin Jr.

Cleveland Browns tight end Harold Fannin Jr. continued his hot start to the season in a Week 5 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in London. Fannin caught all four of his targets for 13 yards and a touchdown. The rookie tight end gave fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel his first NFL passing touchdown with a one-yard grab in the first quarter. Fannin has now caught 21 passes for 173 yards and one touchdown through five games as he has established himself as a top target in Cleveland. He will now head on the road to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 6. The Steelers have been quite generous to tight ends this season, allowing the fourth-most fantasy points per game to the position through four games. Fannin is looking like a low-end TE1 heading into Week 6.

    From RotoBaller

Isaiah Bond Oct 7 7:30pm ET
    Isaiah Bond

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Isaiah Bond caught just two of his seven targets for 29 yards in a Week 5 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in London. Bond finished second on the team in targets in the close loss but was unable to get on the same page as rookie Dillon Gabriel, who was making his NFL debut. That being said, Bond's involvement in the passing game has been encouraging of late as he's drawn 13 targets over his past two contests. He will head on the road to face off against the Pittsburgh Steelers in a divisional clash in Week 6. The Steelers have struggled against opposing receivers in four games this year, allowing the seventh-most fantasy points per game. Bond isn't a must-play, but he will be on the fantasy radar as a boom/bust flex option in a week with both the Vikings and the Houston Texans on bye.

Saquon Barkley Oct 7 7:23pm ET
    Saquon Barkley

Philadelphia Eagles TE Grant Calcaterra (oblique) and OL Landon Dickerson (ankle) did not practice on Tuesday, Oct. 7. RB Saquon Barkley (knee), LB Jihad Campbell (biceps) and DT Byron Young (triceps) were limited participants, while LB Nakobe Dean (knee) was a full participant.

Spencer Rattler Oct 7 7:10pm ET
    Spencer Rattler

New Orleans Saints quarterback Spencer Rattler finally notched his first career win as a starter in Week 5 against the Giants, completing 21-of-31 passes for 225 yards and a touchdown. After averaging just 5.2 yards per attempt through the first four weeks, he finally connected deep with Rashid Shaheed for an 87-yard touchdown in the second quarter. It wasn't a complete shift in play style, but it was a positive sign for the young quarterback. Despite the Saints sitting at 1-4, Rattler looks locked in as the team's starter moving forward. He enters Week 6 as a QB2 with upside against a Patriots defense allowing 242.2 passing yards per game.

    From RotoBaller

Alvin Kamara Oct 7 7:10pm ET
    Alvin Kamara

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara recorded a season-low eight carries for 27 yards and added four receptions for 28 yards in the Week 5 win over the Giants. He has now gone five straight games without a touchdown as defenses continue to focus on stopping him. The run game could start to open up, however, as Rashid Shaheed's 87-yard touchdown reception may force defenses to respect the big-play threat. Another concern is that Kamara's snap count fell to a season-low 37, accounting for just 56% of the team's offensive snaps. With Kendre Miller emerging and trade rumors swirling around Saints veterans, fantasy managers should monitor Kamara closely. He ranks as an RB2 against the Patriots.

    From RotoBaller

Juwan Johnson Oct 7 7:10pm ET
    Juwan Johnson

New Orleans Saints tight end Juwan Johnson came back down to earth in Week 5, hauling in just two catches for 17 yards on four targets. After a hot start with 19 receptions for 176 yards and a touchdown over the first three weeks, he's averaged just 2.5 catches for 22.5 yards with no scores over his last two contests. Still, Johnson played 85% of snaps in Week 5, a surprising season low, but the returns of Taysom Hill and Foster Moreau will continue to cut into his opportunities. He remains the most talented pass catcher among Saints tight ends, but now ranks as a low-floor TE2 against the Patriots.

    From RotoBaller

Grant Calcaterra Oct 7 7:10pm ET
    Grant Calcaterra

The Philadelphia Eagles held a walkthrough practice on Tuesday, so their injury report was an estimation, according to Martin Frank of the Delaware News Journal. With that said, tight end Grant Calcaterra (oblique) was listed as a non-participant for the second straight day this week. It's looking unlikely that Calcaterra will be able to suit up on a short week on Thursday night against the division-rival New York Giants after he injured his oblique in the Week 5 loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday. If Calcaterra is ruled out for Week 6 on Thursday, Kylen Granson will be bumped up to the TE2 role behind starter Dallas Goedert. Calcaterra was unable to take advantage of Goedert missing a game earlier this year, and he has only four catches on six targets for 40 yards in five games played in 2025. If Calcaterra is inactive on Thursday, his next chance to play would be in Week 7 against the Minnesota Vikings.

    From RotoBaller

Jonnu Smith Oct 7 7:10pm ET
    Jonnu Smith

After a 2024 campaign in which he set career highs as a receiver, Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Jonnu Smith has been surprisingly quiet to start 2025. Smith's limited participation in practice leading up to the Week 4 win over the Minnesota Vikings could explain his minimal involvement in that game, but his lack of utilization through the first three weeks was equally puzzling. Ideally, Pittsburgh used its Week 5 bye to find ways to get Smith going. This week, the 30-year-old will take on the division-rival Cleveland Browns, who have been tough on tight ends this year. His usage, alongside that of Pat Freiermuth and Darnell Washington, will be worth monitoring, but Smith remains off the fantasy radar in most formats.
