Seattle Seahawks tight end AJ Barner is not a starting option in Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints. However, his usage is worth monitoring as players continue to settle into the team's new offense. Barner caught his first touchdown of the season in Week 2 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also earned three targets after drawing just two looks in Week 1. Most importantly, Barner has played at least 85% of the snaps in both games this season. He is clearly outpacing rookie tight end Elijah Arroyo for playing time. Barner's specialty is blocking, but he has repeatedly demonstrated his receiving chops during each of his first two seasons in the league. If Barner can develop more chemistry with quarterback Sam Darnold, he could end up presenting streaming potential in fantasy. For now, Barner should remain on waivers, but he could creep up the waiver wire if he emerges as a red zone threat. That could very well continue in Week 3.
From RotoBaller
Seattle Seahawks kicker Jason Myers is in line for another solid game in Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints. Myers has turned in two straight eight-point outings to start the season. While he is not lighting up the scoreboard for fantasy, he provides a great baseline for your kicker spot. The Seahawks have had success moving the ball in both Weeks 1 and 2, which has put Myers in plenty of positions to kick field goals and extra points. They should have no issue doing so again in Week 3 against a Saints team that has allowed at least 20 points in both games. Myers has remained accurate this season. He missed one field goal in Week 2, but has made every other field goal and extra point attempt this season. Look for him to push for a double-digit outing on his home turf in Week 3.
From RotoBaller
Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III looks to be a workhorse running back in Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints. No. 2 running back Zach Charbonnet (foot) is tagged as doubtful for this week, which means that Walker will likely receive a massive workload. Walker and Charbonnet had been in a near-even backfield split in terms of total touches. The Seahawks have been intentional with the usage of their running backs to keep both of them fresh and healthy. However, with limited running back experience behind Walker, he is going to have to receive the lion's share of touches out of necessity. The Saints have not been lit up by opposing running backs to begin the season, but Walker's volume alone gives him a chance to have a massive game. Walker has already seen a solid target share in the first two games of the season. With a substantial uptick in carries, he should knock on the door of RB1 status in Week 3.
From RotoBaller
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold is a potential streamer in Week 3 when Seattle hosts the New Orleans Saints. He is coming off a 17.8-point fantasy outing in Week 2. Darnold struggled in Week 1, but he shook off the jitters in Week 2 and threw for 295 yards and two touchdowns. As he continues to grow more comfortable in Seattle's offense, Darnold should be a solid matchup play. The Saints have allowed Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray and San Francisco 49ers quarterback Mac Jones to have QB1-level games in the first two weeks of the season. That type of production can be expected of Darnold against a Saints defense that has been solid but not spectacular thus far this season. Many forget that Darnold was a legitimate QB1 in 2024 with the Minnesota Vikings. He is stepping into an offense with a lot of new pieces and a new offensive coordinator. It is only a matter of time before the production begins to flow.
From RotoBaller
New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo enters Week 3 as a high-risk, high-reward fantasy option following his breakout performance against Dallas. Skattebo scored 12.9 fantasy points in Week 2, earning a 50% timeshare and critical snaps late in the game, indicating he may be taking over the backfield, especially with Tyrone Tracy Jr. nursing a calf injury. He faces a significant challenge against a stout Kansas City Chiefs run defense that has allowed only two rushing touchdowns all season. The Chiefs rank as the 6th-toughest defense against fantasy running backs, allowing just 14.7 points per game to the position, which places Skattebo firmly in the RB3/flex category despite his promising usage.
From RotoBaller
Denver Broncos wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. seems to have dropped to third on the depth chart, which makes him tougher to trust in fantasy football. While there was plenty of buzz about the 23-year-old opening the 2025 season as Denver's No. 2 wide receiver behind Courtland Sutton, he has primarily operated as the No. 3 receiver so far, earning fewer opportunities than Troy Franklin, too. Sutton and Franklin have combined for at least nine receptions in each of the last two weeks, while Mims has failed to amass more than three catches in a single game. He did find the end zone last Sunday, but that type of production won't be sustainable every week. For now, he can be dropped in most leagues, and even in deeper leagues or dynasty formats, he belongs on the bench. That includes this week's matchup against the Chargers, who held every Raiders wide receiver not named Jakobi Meyers to three or fewer catches in Week 2.
From RotoBaller
Las Vegas Raiders running back Zamir White saw his usage climb in Week 2 but failed to capitalize on the opportunity. After logging just a 14% snap share in the opener, the veteran's workload jumped to 30% against the Chargers. However, the results were disappointing -- White lost two yards on his two rushing attempts and caught two of three targets for 15 yards. With Raheem Mostert inactive the past two weeks but waiting in the wings, White's inefficiency could put his role as the Raiders' RB2 in jeopardy. Fantasy managers may want to monitor this backfield closely, as Mostert's presence could quickly shift the pecking order.
From RotoBaller
New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson enters Week 3 with a strong outlook as he prepares to face the Kansas City Chiefs at home. After a slow start in Week 1, Wilson's explosive 450-yard, three-touchdown game against Dallas has vaulted him to the QB7 overall, averaging an impressive 23.8 fantasy points per game. The Chiefs' defense presents a beatable matchup. At the same time, they limit yardage, they have already surrendered three passing touchdowns, and have a below-average red zone defense that allows scores on 66.7% of opponent trips. Kansas City's vulnerability is confirmed by their fantasy ranking, where they sit 25th against the position by allowing 19.73 points per game against QBs, cementing Wilson as a possible fantasy start for the upcoming week.
From RotoBaller
Las Vegas Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty could finally find some breathing room in Week 3 against a middling Washington Commanders defense. The rookie has opened the season with tough assignments, facing the league's No. 3 and No. 8 run defenses, leaving many fantasy managers uneasy about his early production. This matchup presents a more favorable opportunity, as Washington has struggled to contain opposing ground games. With Marcus Mariota starting under center for the Commanders instead of Jayden Daniels, the Raiders may even find themselves in a position to build an early lead. That scenario would set up a run-heavy game plan, boosting Jeanty's volume and upside. He profiles as a high-end RB2 play in season-long formats and a cost-effective option for DFS lineups this week.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints kicker Blake Grupe missed his only field goal attempt from 40 yards in the 26-21 loss to the 49ers in Week 2. He is now 2-for-4 on field goals and 4-for-4 on extra points on the season. Grupe looks to rebound against the Seahawks, who allowed Chris Boswell to convert three field goals from 40+ yards last week. Despite the matchup, Grupe can remain off fantasy radars this week.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave led the team in receptions, yards, and targets in Week 2, finishing with 6 catches for 54 yards on 10 targets. He's built strong chemistry with quarterback Spencer Rattler, totaling 13 receptions for 108 yards on 23 targets through two games. Olave is still searching for his first touchdown of the season, but Kellen Moore's aggressive passing offense suggests it's coming soon. As long as he stays healthy, his weekly target share keeps him in the WR2/WR3 mix.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Rashid Shaheed turned five targets into four receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown in Week 2 against the 49ers. He's been targeted 14 times through two games by starting quarterback Spencer Rattler, and with Kellen Moore's pass-heavy offense unlikely to slow down, opportunities should remain plentiful. Shaheed continues to be a big-play threat, and he faces a Seahawks defense in Week 3 that has allowed at least one reception of 45+ yards in each of their first two contests. He projects as a WR3/Flex option for that matchup.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints tight end Juwan Johnson has been one of the biggest fantasy surprises to start the season, ranking as the No. 2 tight end in PPR scoring through the first two weeks. He has totaled 13 receptions for 125 yards and a touchdown on 20 targets from quarterback Spencer Rattler. Johnson could see another busy day against the Seahawks, who have allowed 108 yards and two touchdowns to tight ends through their first two games. He is ranked as the No. 7 tight end on RotoBaller and remains a strong TE1 option.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara came close to the century mark on the ground in Week 2, rushing 21 times for 99 yards and adding six catches on six targets for 21 yards. His workload spiked from 13 touches in Week 1 to 27 in Week 2, showing the Saints are comfortable feeding him as much as possible. While that level of volume won't always hold, Kamara faces almost no competition for meaningful work, with Kendre Miller logging just five carries for eight yards. Kamara profiles as a high-upside RB2 against a Seahawks defense that allowed 134 total yards to Jaylen Warren last week.
From RotoBaller
Geno Smith enters Week 3 with a strong opportunity to rebound against a Washington Commanders defense that has struggled to generate pressure. Washington has managed just four sacks through two games while ranking middle of the pack in most categories -- 15th in total yards allowed, 18th against the pass (213 yards per game), and 14th versus the run (104.5). The Raiders' offensive line also gets a boost with right guard Jackson Powers-Johnson practicing fully on Thursday and Friday, returning the unit to full strength. That added protection should give Smith more time to push the ball downfield taking advantage of favorable matchups. On the injury front, tight end Brock Bowers has logged limited practices all week but appears healthier after managing only a late-week session before his last game. Smith remains a solid QB2 option in superflex formats.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Marquise Brown was on the injury report with an ankle injury but practiced fully all week and has been removed from the report ahead of Sunday's contest. Brown was expected to serve as the Chiefs WR1 with Xavier Worthy out against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2. The speedster caught all five of his targets for 30 yards in Kansas City's loss last week. Brown's output was disappointing considering he earned 16 targets in Week 1 once Worthy exited the game. With Worthy officially questionable to play against the New York Giants on Sunday night, Brown could revert to his WR2 role in the offense. Despite having a less featured role, Brown could still have a good game against a Giants defense that was carved up by the Dallas Cowboys last week. Both See Ree Lamb and Jake Ferguson had nine catches and at least 78 yards against the Giants secondary in Week 2. This Week 3 matchup could be what the Chiefs need to finally wake up their offense and Brown should be heavily involved. Brown is ranked WR42 in our RotoBaller Half-PPR rankings, making him a deeper league flex option this week.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco rushed 10 times for 22 yards and had one catch for seven yards in last week's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Pacheco's efficiency on the ground was an issue, averaging just 2.2 yards per carry in the contest. The 26-year-old was better running the football in Week 1, averaging 5.0 yards per carry, but the game script got away from him as the Los Angeles Chargers led for the entire game. Pacheco will have the opportunity to get back on track this Sunday against the New York Giants. The Giants have been gashed on the ground in each game this season, allowing Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Javonte Williams to have big fantasy performances. Kansas City desperately needs a spark in its rushing attack and Pacheco could be the one to provide it. Pacheco will have to show he's up to the task soon or he could start ceding more opportunities to rookie Brashard Smith. Pacheco is ranked RB30 in our RotoBaller Half-PPR rankings, making him a viable flex option this week. The Giants have allowed a rushing touchdown in each game this season, which could bode well for Pacheco this week.
From RotoBaller
Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton looked good enough in Week 1 against the Titans, pulling in six of his nine targets for 61 yards and a touchdown. However, he cooled off in the Week 2 loss to the Colts, amassing only one grab for six yards. With the Broncos sitting at 1-1, Denver will next meet the Chargers in an AFC West clash. Without question, the Los Angeles defense has played well so far throughout the 2025 campaign. That trend might continue on Sunday. While it appears Troy Franklin is currently Bo Nix's preferred target in the first two weeks, Sutton is expected to remain involved at a consistent level moving forward. With that said, managers can give the 29-year-old a free pass for his previous performance and view him as a starting fantasy option in Week 3, especially with Evan Engram (back) ruled out.
From RotoBaller
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Darnell Mooney (shoulder) was a full participant in practice on Friday and heads into the weekend without an injury designation. The 27-year-old missed Week 1 with a shoulder injury, but was back out there in Week 2, reeling in two of his four targets for 20 yards. No pass catcher had more than five targets in that contest, so Mooney's four targets represented a 19.0 percent target share, which was right around his 19.9 percent target share from 2024. The sixth-year pro has had limited game action with Michael Penix Jr., having played in only three of his five career starts dating back to last season, but he's garnered at least four targets in each of them. Although Mooney was absent from the Week 18 matchup between these two teams last season, Penix did throw for over 300 yards and two touchdowns, completing big chunk plays, which is what Mooney excels at. Look for Mooney to put up more respectable numbers this week than he did a week ago, with a chance to break off a long touchdown catch, but with just six red zone targets all of 2024, he's typically not an option when they get in close. In a game that the Falcons may lean on the run again as well, the 5-foot-11 wideout settles into the WR4/5 range with some upside in PPR leagues.
From RotoBaller
Washington Commanders running back Jeremy McNichols will likely see more work as the team's primary pass-down back in Week 3 against Las Vegas. With Austin Ekeler lost for the season, McNichols is the most capable option to step in and try to match his production. McNichols has shown to be very stout as a pass blocker and has earned the coaches' trust in that aspect. His role will likely be mostly on third-downs and occasionally mixing in for Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Chris Rodriguez Jr. McNichols will be alongside Marcus Mariota, who is filling in for an injured Jayden Daniels. McNichols earned some snaps with Mariota last season against Carolina and had a solid day, rushing for 42 yards on seven carries. McNichols is worth keeping an eye on to see what the Washington backfield looks like without Ekeler, but he shouldn't be in many Week 3 lineups.
