Tennessee Titans running back Tony Pollard drops to the RB3/flex tier ahead of his Week 3 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. Although Pollard remains the workhorse in Tennessee, he has delivered modest production at best, averaging 4.0 yards per carry with only one reception and zero touchdowns so far. The Colts have averaged just 76 rushing yards allowed to running back rooms per game this season, which means Pollard will likely continue to struggle with efficiency on Sunday. He'll rank outside the top-24 running backs this week and ideally should only be started in leagues with at least 12 teams.
From RotoBaller
Tennessee Titans quarterback Cameron Ward remains off the fantasy radar in redraft leagues ahead of Week 3 against the Indianapolis Colts. Ward has experienced plenty of growing pains through his first two NFL games, completing just 50.8 percent of his passes for a total of 287 yards, one touchdown, and two lost fumbles. He has also taken 11 sacks while rushing for just eight yards. This week, Ward takes on the Colts, who have been playing surprisingly well on both sides of the ball. Indianapolis has forced four turnovers so far this year and could have a field day against this year's No. 1 pick. Ward ranks outside the top 24 fantasy quarterbacks this week, and while he should continue to be stashed in dynasty leagues, he can be left on waivers in all redraft formats.
From RotoBaller
New York Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart remains a non-factor in fantasy football for Week 3, despite the coaching staff's continued interest in using him. Head Coach Brian Daboll has a specific package for Dart and used him on three running plays against Dallas, even in a close game, though Dart's lone carry resulted in a loss of yardage. While this willingness to deploy the rookie keeps him on the dynasty radar, his minimal snap count means his fantasy impact is nonexistent for now, regardless of the opponent. With Russell Wilson firmly entrenched as the starter, Dart is purely a gadget player who should not be rostered in any standard fantasy leagues.
From RotoBaller
New York Giants tight end Theo Johnson is not a recommended fantasy option for his Week 3 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. The second-year tight end has had a quiet start to the season, ranking as the TE35 by averaging just 3.2 fantasy points per game on five total receptions for 39 yards through two contests. His prospects for a breakout performance are virtually nonexistent against a Chiefs defense that has completely shut down opposing tight ends. Kansas City ranks as the 3rd-toughest fantasy defense against the position, allowing a minuscule 6.55 points per game, making Johnson an easy player to leave on the waiver wire this week.
From RotoBaller
New York Giants wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson is a compelling but volatile fantasy option for Week 3 after the best game of his career. Robinson exploded for 24.2 fantasy points against the Cowboys, hauling in 8 of 10 targets for 142 yards and a touchdown, earning high praise from quarterback Russell Wilson. While fantasy managers may question if he can repeat this performance, he gets an ideal opportunity against a vulnerable Kansas City Chiefs secondary. The Chiefs rank as the 25th-best defense against fantasy wide receivers, allowing a generous 39.95 points per game to the position, making Robinson a high-upside WR3/flex play this week.
From RotoBaller
Denver Broncos kicker Wil Lutz is a strong candidate to bounce back and rank among the top 10 players at his position during Week 3 against the Los Angeles Chargers. Lutz went 4-for-4 on extra points last week but missed his lone field goal attempt, so he's looking for better production this time around. A much tougher matchup against the Chargers works in his favor as the Broncos could end more drives in field goals and fewer drives in touchdowns. Furthermore, kickers have fared quite well against the Chargers this year, with Harrison Butker and Daniel Carlson both posting double-digit fantasy points. Finally, Lutz will play in a calm environment inside SoFi Stadium, protecting him from elements like wind or rain.
From RotoBaller
New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers is an elite, must-start fantasy option for his Week 3 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. The second-year player has been sensational, ranking as the WR1 overall by averaging 21.4 fantasy points per game on a league-leading 25 targets, including a massive 167-yard, two-touchdown performance in Week 2. Nabers is set up for another big day against a Chiefs defense that has struggled to contain opposing wideouts this season. Kansas City ranks as the 25th-best fantasy defense against the position, surrendering a generous 39.95 points per game to wide receivers, locking Nabers in as a top-tier WR1 who should be in all lineups.
From RotoBaller
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers continues to command a dominant share of the passing game, leading the team with 22 targets through two weeks. He's turned that workload into 14 receptions for 165 yards, and his role should remain secure with tight end Brock Bowers still limited in practice. Meyers has been the focal point of the offense and is thriving in his contract year, showing consistency that fantasy managers can trust. A Week 3 matchup against Trey Amos and Marshon Lattimore in the Commanders' secondary presents a challenge, but Meyers' volume provides a strong floor. He remains a safe WR3 or flex option, particularly in PPR formats where his steady target share is too valuable to overlook.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce will take on the New York Giants on Sunday night in Week 3. Kelce had four catches for 61 yards in last week's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The 35-year-old is not as involved as he once was, but he has still managed to reach double-digit PPR fantasy points in each game this season. The Giants defense is not one to avoid for tight ends, which is why Kelce could be the key to Kansas City collecting its first victory. The New York defense held Zach Ertz to a serviceable three catches for 26 yards in Week 1, but he was able to find the endzone in that contest. Jake Ferguson just torched this Giants defense with nine catches for 78 yards in their Week 2 shootout. Kelce led the team in targets last week with Xavier Worthy sidelined and he could do so again this week. Worthy is officially questionable to play on Sunday and even if he does, he could be limited. Kelce is ranked TEG in our RotoBaller Half-PPR rankings, making him a mid-range TE1 this week. Tight ends have found success against the New York Giants this season and Kelce could be next.
From RotoBaller
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tre Tucker is steadily carving out a larger role in the offense, even if the production hasn't followed just yet. After seeing three targets in Week 1, Tucker's usage jumped to eight against the Chargers, and he's now logged snaps on 91% of the team's offensive plays. The third-year wideout managed only three catches for 12 yards in the loss, though the heavy involvement shows Geno Smith's trust in his development. Tucker's speed and big-play potential make him a name to monitor closely on the waiver wire, especially in deeper leagues. Still, fantasy managers should wait for him to string together consistent results before considering him an add, as volume alone won't guarantee immediate success.
From RotoBaller
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp looks like a flex play in Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints. Kupp delivered in Week 2 with seven catches for 90 yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Kupp and quarterback Sam Darnold clearly found chemistry together after a lackluster debut in Week 1. Kupp displayed the savvy and excellent route running that allowed him to carve up zones during his days with the Los Angeles Rams. Kupp's role as Seattle's slot receiver is valuable in offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak's system. He should continue to see upwards of five-plus targets per game moving forward. Although the Seahawks may be ahead for most of the game on Sunday, Kupp will be a flex option as long as his chemistry with Darnold sticks.
From RotoBaller
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba is in another great position to succeed in Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints. The Saints have a solid defense, but they have allowed big games to Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. and San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings (ankle) over the first two weeks of the season. JSN has established excellent early chemistry with quarterback Sam Darnold, and has turned in two 100-yard receiving efforts to open the season. Smith-Njigba has been lacking in the touchdown department, which has tamped down his ceiling. However, that could change in Week 3 with the Seahawks becoming increasingly more comfortable in their new offense under coordinator Klint Kubiak. Smith-Njigba enters Week 3 as the WR13. He has finished as a fringe WR1 in each of the first two games of the season. Expect that level of production to continue in Week 3, with upside for more.
From RotoBaller
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tory Horton (groin) is worth keeping an eye on in Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints. Horton earned his first targets and catches in Week 2 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He scored on a 21-yard strike early in the game for his first career reception and touchdown. However, it is worth noting that Horton's snap percentage dipped from 54% in Week 1 to 40% in Week 2. Still, when Horton is on the field, he is running routes. Earning two targets on just 40% of the snaps as the No. 3 receiver is encouraging for the rookie. He is still not someone you should be looking to start, but if you have an extra roster spot and a dry waiver wire, he is worth a stash. Horton is a big-play threat waiting to happen. If he rips off a couple of big plays in multiple games in a row, your whole fantasy league will be on notice. It will be better to be ahead of the curve if Horton begins to deliver for fantasy. Horton is entering Week 3 with a groin injury, but he should be good to go without any limitations. Keep an eye on his snap count in Week 3 to see if his role increases.
From RotoBaller
Denver Broncos wide receiver Pat Bryant could be pushing for more playing time after registering his first career statistics last weekend. The rookie caught two of three targets for 18 yards in Week 2, and his solid showing could lead to more opportunities in the passing game when Denver takes on the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 3. Of course, Bryant will still have to earn his targets. Courtland Sutton and Troy Franklin have both established themselves at the top of the pecking order, while Marvin Mims Jr. will maintain a moderate snap share thanks to his deep-threat role. However, Bryant still has a chance to carve out a role of his own. He's worth monitoring in deeper leagues and stashing on the bench in dynasty formats. However, he shouldn't be started for the time being. His position on the depth chart and matchup against a strong Chargers secondary are a little too concerning.
From RotoBaller
Denver Broncos tight end Adam Trautman has seen a significant snap share through two games, and he should remain involved during Sunday's Week 3 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. Trautman has played at least 58 percent of the snaps in each of the Broncos' two contests thus far, averaging two catches, 7.5 yards, and 0.5 touchdowns per game. His pass-catching volume isn't exactly large, but his ability to get on the field as a blocker should continue to result in some opportunities for targets, especially around the goal line. However, he's not startable in fantasy football for the time being. In addition to operating behind Evan Engram on the depth chart, he also has a tricky matchup. The Chargers' defense has held two of the NFL's better tight ends -- Brock Bowers and Travis Kelce -- to an average of 3.5 catches and 42.5 yards per game.
From RotoBaller
Seattle Seahawks tight end AJ Barner is not a starting option in Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints. However, his usage is worth monitoring as players continue to settle into the team's new offense. Barner caught his first touchdown of the season in Week 2 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also earned three targets after drawing just two looks in Week 1. Most importantly, Barner has played at least 85% of the snaps in both games this season. He is clearly outpacing rookie tight end Elijah Arroyo for playing time. Barner's specialty is blocking, but he has repeatedly demonstrated his receiving chops during each of his first two seasons in the league. If Barner can develop more chemistry with quarterback Sam Darnold, he could end up presenting streaming potential in fantasy. For now, Barner should remain on waivers, but he could creep up the waiver wire if he emerges as a red zone threat. That could very well continue in Week 3.
From RotoBaller
Seattle Seahawks kicker Jason Myers is in line for another solid game in Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints. Myers has turned in two straight eight-point outings to start the season. While he is not lighting up the scoreboard for fantasy, he provides a great baseline for your kicker spot. The Seahawks have had success moving the ball in both Weeks 1 and 2, which has put Myers in plenty of positions to kick field goals and extra points. They should have no issue doing so again in Week 3 against a Saints team that has allowed at least 20 points in both games. Myers has remained accurate this season. He missed one field goal in Week 2, but has made every other field goal and extra point attempt this season. Look for him to push for a double-digit outing on his home turf in Week 3.
From RotoBaller
Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III looks to be a workhorse running back in Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints. No. 2 running back Zach Charbonnet (foot) is tagged as doubtful for this week, which means that Walker will likely receive a massive workload. Walker and Charbonnet had been in a near-even backfield split in terms of total touches. The Seahawks have been intentional with the usage of their running backs to keep both of them fresh and healthy. However, with limited running back experience behind Walker, he is going to have to receive the lion's share of touches out of necessity. The Saints have not been lit up by opposing running backs to begin the season, but Walker's volume alone gives him a chance to have a massive game. Walker has already seen a solid target share in the first two games of the season. With a substantial uptick in carries, he should knock on the door of RB1 status in Week 3.
From RotoBaller
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold is a potential streamer in Week 3 when Seattle hosts the New Orleans Saints. He is coming off a 17.8-point fantasy outing in Week 2. Darnold struggled in Week 1, but he shook off the jitters in Week 2 and threw for 295 yards and two touchdowns. As he continues to grow more comfortable in Seattle's offense, Darnold should be a solid matchup play. The Saints have allowed Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray and San Francisco 49ers quarterback Mac Jones to have QB1-level games in the first two weeks of the season. That type of production can be expected of Darnold against a Saints defense that has been solid but not spectacular thus far this season. Many forget that Darnold was a legitimate QB1 in 2024 with the Minnesota Vikings. He is stepping into an offense with a lot of new pieces and a new offensive coordinator. It is only a matter of time before the production begins to flow.
From RotoBaller
New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo enters Week 3 as a high-risk, high-reward fantasy option following his breakout performance against Dallas. Skattebo scored 12.9 fantasy points in Week 2, earning a 50% timeshare and critical snaps late in the game, indicating he may be taking over the backfield, especially with Tyrone Tracy Jr. nursing a calf injury. He faces a significant challenge against a stout Kansas City Chiefs run defense that has allowed only two rushing touchdowns all season. The Chiefs rank as the 6th-toughest defense against fantasy running backs, allowing just 14.7 points per game to the position, which places Skattebo firmly in the RB3/flex category despite his promising usage.
