According to the team, Detroit Lions safety Ifeatu Melifonwu (hamstring) is questionable to return to Saturday's playoff game against the Washington Commanders. Melifonwu sustained this injury during the third quarter of the game. Before exiting, he tallied two tackles. Morice Norris should see an uptick in snaps as a result.

According to Ben Standig of The Athletic, Washington Commanders wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus (groin) has returned to Saturday's playoff game against the Detroit Lions. Zaccheaus exited the contest during the second quarter. Before leaving, he was targeted two times but was unable to catch any of them. He should continue to operate as the No.3 wide receiver in the Washington passing attack.

According to the team, Washington Commanders offensive guard Sam Cosmi (knee) is questionable to return to Saturday's playoff game against the Detroit Lions. Cosmi sustained this injury on Brian Robinson Jr.'s touchdown run in the second quarter. Cosmi needed assistance leaving the field. While sidelined, Trent Scott and Cornelius Lucas should see increased snaps.Update: Sam Cosmi has been ruled out for the remainder of the game

According to Ben Standig of The Athletic, Washington Commanders tight end Zach Ertz (concussion) returned to Saturday's game against the Detroit Lions. Ertz left earlier in the first half and was being evaluated for a concussion. However, the veteran tight end was able to pass protocol. Before exiting, Ertz caught both of his targets for 13 yards. He will continue to see a starting role in the offense for the remainder of the game.

According to FOX Sports, Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff (concussion) has returned to Saturday's game against the Washington Commanders. Goff sustained this injury after throwing an interception in the second quarter. Goff was sidelined for one offensive drive. Teddy Bridgewater took over starting duties. Through the first half, Goff has thrown for over 100 yards with 11 completions, a touchdown, and an interception.

According to Nicki Jhabvala of the Washington Post, Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff (concussion) is being evaluated for a concussion. Goff took a hard hit after throwing an interception in the second quarter. Veteran Teddy Bridgewater has taken over starting duties for the time being. Before exiting, Goff went 8-for-11 with 120 yards, a score and an interception. Bridgewater will continue to stat while Goff is sidelined.

The veteran tight end sustained a hard hit in the second quarter and is being evaluated for a concussion. Before exiting, Ertz caught both of his targets for 13 yards. While sidelined, John Bates should have a starting role in the offense.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Detroit Lions defensive back Amik Robertson (elbow) has been ruled out for the remainder of Saturday's playoff game. Robertson sustained this injury on the opening defensive drive when tackling Terry McLaurin. Fantasy managers should expect Kindle Vildor to continue to have a key role in the secondary for the remainder of the game

Robertson sustained this injury on their first defensive drive of the game. He was attempting to make a tackle and needed assistance leaving the field. Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz finished second on the team in receiving by catching all four of his targets for 63 yards in a Divisional Round defeat to Kansas City on Saturday. All told, it was the veteran tight end's second-best receiving day of the season, trailing only a 66-yard day against Detroit in November. About half Schultz's damage came on one play, a 34-yard juggling act along the sideline that was upheld after review. Though his receiving role initially took a hit, he ended up second on the team in targets and catches following injuries to receivers Stefon Diggs (knee) and Tank Dell (knee). Houston, which sees its season end in the Divisional Round for a second straight year, will likely be in the market for another pass catcher during the offseason.
From RotoBaller
Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins finished his team's Divisional Round playoff defeat at Kansas City with five catches on eight targets for 81 yards, a decent day considering Houston's considerable challenges in the passing game. The Texans surrendered eight sacks and only completed 19 passes as quarterback C.J. Stroud spent most of the afternoon under siege. The 25-year-old receiver further cemented his status as a No. 1 option in 2024, but by the end of the season, didn't have much support with compatriots Tank Dell (knee) and Stefon Diggs (knee) out for the year. He figures to be part of the long-term plan for Houston, which ends the season in the Divisional Round for the second straight year.

Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon was one of the few bright spots for his team in a season-ending defeat to Kansas City on Saturday, during which he compiled 100 yards from scrimmage and scored his team's only touchdown. The former Cincinnati Bengal rushed for a game-high 88 yards on 18 carries, and also hauled in two of his three targets for another 12 yards. Unfortunately for Houston, its pass protection and kicking game were major letdowns, as the line allowed eight sacks and kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn missed two field goals and an extra point. It was a largely productive first season in Houston for Mixon, who hit 1,000 yards rushing and scored 12 regular-season touchdowns, but Houston's season concludes in the Divisional Round for the second straight year.
From RotoBaller
Houston Texans kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn had a rough day in the team's 23-14 defeat in the Divisional Round at Kansas City, making only two of his four field-goal attempts and missing his only extra point. The veteran converted from 30 and 48 yards, but badly missed on a 55-yarder in the first half, pushed an extra point wide on Houston's lone touchdown, and had a low kick blocked in the Texans' last-ditch attempt to get back into the game. It would have taken a special effort for Houston to unseat the defending champs, but between Fairbairn's bad day and the offensive line surrendering eight sacks, the Texans weren't able to do enough as their year ends in the Divisional Round for the second straight season.
From RotoBaller
Quarterback C.J. Stroud of the Houston Texans spent most of the Divisional Round under pressure, completing 19 of 28 passing attempts for 245 yards with neither a touchdown or a turnover in his team's season-ending defeat at Kansas City on Saturday. The Chiefs were able to get the best of Houston's offensive line, sacking the sophomore quarterback eight times and impacting a number of other throws as Houston managed only one touchdown. Though he limped off late in the game, Stroud did re-enter for the final drive. It was a largely disappointing year fantasy-wise for last season's Rookie of the Year, but he has now led Houston to a division title and a Wild Card victory in both of his first two seasons. Houston's offense goes into the offseason with needs on the offensive line and for a No. 2 receiver, as Tank Dell (knee) could be unavailable through 2025 and Stefon Diggs is a free agent.
From RotoBaller
Detroit Lions quarterback Teddy Bridgewater will serve as the backup QB for Saturday's playoff game against the Washington Commanders. The Lions have opted to have an experienced quarterback behind Jared Goff which leaves Hendon Hooker as the emergency option. Bridgewater retired from the league after the 2023 season to coach his alma mater high school team. He came out of retirement in late December and served as the emergency third string quarterback to end the season. He's unlikely to see the field with Goff healthy, but having Bridgewater's experience on the sideline is never a bad thing.

The Dallas Cowboys have completed an interview with Robert Saleh for their head coaching vacancy. Saleh was fired by the New York Jets after a 2-3 start to the year this season. He was entering his fourth year as the team's head coach and had two straight seven-win seasons. Despite his lack of success in New York, Saleh has been a popular name discussed for head coaching vacancies. The Cowboys are never an easy team to coach, but Saleh is used to having an eyes on him in New York. This probably won't be the last head coaching interview that Saleh gets this offseason.
From RotoBaller
Houston Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair (knee) has returned to Saturday's Divisional Round contest against the Kansas City Chiefs. Al-Shaair exited during the first half and was listed as questionable, but he only missed a few snaps before re-joining Houston's defense. He registered a tackle in the opening quarter and will look to make an even bigger impact over the final two-plus quarters. Al-Shaair's return will send depth linebacker Neville Hewitt back to the sideline for now.
From RotoBaller
Houston Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair (knee) exited during the first half of Saturday's Divisional Round contest against the Kansas City Chiefs. Al-Shaair registered a tackle in the opening quarter but was unable to add another stat before departing. The 27-year-old amassed six tackles last week, and he had two sacks throughout the regular season. Neville Hewitt should earn more defensive snaps at linebacker until Al-Shaair is able to return.
From RotoBaller
Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams had a cyst removed from his right hand/wrist area, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Last year's No. 1 pick was seen in public wearing a cast, but Rapoport notes that Williams' operation was minor and he is okay. Presumably, he'll have a short recovery team and will be healthy for offseason workouts in a few months. Williams played all 17 games in his rookie campaign, completing 62.5 percent of his passes for 3,541 yards, 20 touchdowns, and six interceptions. As he continues to develop and get more comfortable in the NFL, he should rank as a high-end QB2 with additional upside for the 2025 fantasy football season.
