Carolina Panthers head coach Dave Canales said on Monday that the team won't have an update on quarterback Bryce Young's ankle injury until Thursday, according to Joe Person of The Athletic. Person notes that this is standard operating procedure with Canales during his Monday press conferences. The 24-year-old signal-caller appeared to suffer a serious injury early in Sunday's overtime win against the Atlanta Falcons, but he didn't end up missing a snap and finished with a career day. Young went 31-for-45 passing for 448 yards and three touchdowns in the Week 11 victory, mostly peppering receivers Tetairoa McMillan and Xavier Legette with targets to bring the team back from down 14 points. He could be limited in practice this week, but he should be able to play in Week 12 against the San Francisco 49ers. As long as his ankle doesn't negatively impact him in that game, Young will have high-end QB2 appeal in fantasy against San Fran's banged-up defense.

Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen said on Monday that if/when quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr. (eye) is cleared to return from Injured Reserve, he will return to the backup role behind Daniel Jones, according to Mike Chappell of FOX 59. Richardson is currently on IR with a fractured orbital bone, but he's eligible to have his 21-day practice window opened this week. The 23-year-old former first-rounder had surgery to fix his fractured orbital bone on Oct. 26 after he suffered the injury before the team's game on Oct. 12 against the Arizona Cardinals when a resistance band snapped and hit him in the face. Since A-Rich has been on the shelf, rookie Riley Leonard has been serving as Jones' backup. Richardson, once viewed as the next franchise QB, has hit rock bottom in terms of his fantasy value.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy returned to action on Sunday after missing eight of the team's last nine games with a toe injury, and he threw for 200 yards and three touchdowns in a blowout win over the Cardinals. With one game left to be played on Monday night, he is currently the QB4 for the week, after his efficient outing against an above-average Cardinals defense. While Purdy's upcoming schedule features unfavorable passing matchups against the Panthers and Browns before a Week 14 bye, managers who can afford to keep him rostered through that stretch should be handsomely rewarded with fantasy playoff matchups against the Titans, Colts, and Bears. While streaming the quarterback position often means mixing and matching throughout the playoffs to find the best possible matchup, Purdy is one of the few streaming quality quarterbacks that can be trusted from Weeks 15-17, especially as the 49ers offense continues to get healthier.

Los Angeles Rams safety Quentin Lake (elbow) is expected to miss time after an elbow injury forced him out of Sunday's win over the Seahawks. Head coach Sean McVay did not have an update on Monday, but told reporters, "It's probably going to be some time". A 6th-round draft pick in 2022, the fourth-year defensive back had become a reliable weekly start in IDP leagues, with a career high 81% of his snaps coming in the box or at slot corner, and helping to provide a safe fantasy floor while putting him on pace for his second consecutive 100-tackle season. With Lake sidelined for much of Sunday's win, it was second-year safety Jaylen McCollough who saw an increase in playing time, but he was able to put only one tackle on the stat sheet.

Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski provided no additional information on Monday regarding a potential timeline for the team to open the practice window of quarterback Deshaun Watson (Achilles). Watson ruptured his Achilles in Week 7 of last year and suffered an additional tear during the offseason, but all reports suggest that his recovery has been going well. Still, the Browns have not offered any clarity as to when, or if, he will return to the team. The 2-8 Browns have gotten starts from Joe Flacco and Dillon Gabriel (concussion) in 2025. With Gabriel currently in concussion protocol, it's possible that rookie Shedeur Sanders could make his first career start against the Raiders in Week 12.
From RotoBaller
Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel (concussion) remains in the league's concussion protocol after sitting out the second half of Sunday's loss to the Ravens. While Gabriel only threw for 68 yards in the first half, the Browns held a 16-10 lead before fellow rookie Shedeur Sanders took over in the second half. Sanders threw for only 47 yards while completing a quarter of his pass attempts and throwing an interception in a game that was eventually lost 23-16. Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski told reporters on Monday that he would provide an update on Wednesday regarding the team's preparation for Sunday's Week 12 matchup with the Raiders. Regardless of who gets the start in Week 12 or beyond, the Browns' entire passing offense should be avoided down the stretch of the fantasy season and into the playoffs.
From RotoBaller
Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski declined to speculate when asked on Monday about the possibility of quarterback Shedeur Sanders turning a potential Week 12 start against the Raiders into a longer-term stint as the starter. Sanders entered the team's Week 11 loss to the Ravens when Dillon Gabriel (concussion) was knocked out of the game in the third quarter. In his first action of the season, he completed four of 16 pass attempts for 47 yards and an interception, while taking two sacks. Gabriel will need to clear the league's concussion protocol before he can return to action, but even if Sanders gets his first career start in Week 12, the expectation is that Gabriel will be given the chance to reclaim the starting role regardless of outcome.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said on Monday that "it's hard to say" if running back Sean Tucker will see more playing time even when Bucky Irving (foot, shoulder) comes back, according to the Pewter Report. The Bucs may go with a hot-hand approach to their backfield when Irving gets cleared to return for the first time since getting hurt in Week 4. Since he's been sidelined, Rachaad White has seen most of the backfield work. White played 60% of the offensive snaps in Sunday's loss to the Buffalo Bills compared to 44% for Tucker, but it was Tucker who went off with a season-high 19 carries for 106 yards and two touchdowns. He also added two catches for 34 yards and another score. The 24-year-old has looked much more explosive than White and deserves attention off the waiver wire this week, regardless of whether Irving is back for Week 12 against the Los Angeles Rams.

Green Bay Packers running back MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) appears to be ramping up his rehab, ESPN's Rob Demovsky reported last week. Lloyd has not returned to practice with the rest of the team yet, but he was seen working up a sweat on a side field last week. The Packers could really use Lloyd right now after Josh Jacobs suffered a knee injury in Sunday's win that could keep him from playing in Week 12 against the division-rival Minnesota Vikings. The 24-year-old Lloyd remains on Injured Reserve, though, and has played in one game for the Packers due to injuries since he was taken in the third round of the 2024 NFL draft. Green Bay is still holding out hope that he can contribute later this year, but it remains to be seen if that will actually happen. If Jacobs misses any time, Emanuel Wilson should operate as the team's clear lead back.
From RotoBaller
Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said on Monday that running back Bucky Irving (foot, shoulder) will be worked in more this week during practice and then be re-evaluated at the end of the week, according to the Pewter Report. Irving has not played since Week 4, but the 23-year-old returned to limited practices last week and continues to make progress towards a potential return. Irving is dealing with a shoulder subluxation and a sprained foot, with his shoulder being the bigger issue. Whether he's able to return in a Week 12 showdown against the Los Angeles Rams this Sunday will depend on his practice status and how he bounces back. Irving should operate as Tampa's lead back when he's back to full health, but he could be eased into the Bucs' backfield alongside Rachaad White and Sean Tucker when he's active again.
From RotoBaller
Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said on Monday that wide receiver Chris Godwin (leg) will be worked in more in practice this week and will be re-evaluated at the end of the week, according to the Pewter Report. Is it possible that Godwin will be ready to play in Week 12 versus the Los Angeles Rams? Potentially, but the Bucs will make that determination later in the week, depending on how much the 29-year-old can do and how he responds to more physical activity. He didn't make his 2025 debut until Week 4 following a season-ending ankle dislocation in Week 7 of last year, and then he injured his fibula in Week 5 of this year. Godwin should have a big role in Tampa's passing attack when he's cleared to return, next to rookies Emeka Egbuka and Tez Johnson, but the team is taking a cautious approach. Don't be surprised if Godwin misses another week.

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. (knee) is headed to Injured Reserve after aggravating a bone bruise and knee sprain from earlier this season, sources tell Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Penix also has damage to his ACL, which could require a full knee reconstruction. The young lefty signal-caller will be forced to miss at least the next four games while on IR, but all signs are pointing to him missing the rest of the 2025 season as well. Veteran Kirk Cousins, who did not look very good in his one start in place of Penix earlier this year, will now be thrust into the starting role in Atlanta for potentially the rest of the year. Fantasy managers might want to temper expectations for Cousins, especially since he'll be without top receiver Drake London (knee) for at least a little while. If the 25-year-old Penix has full knee reconstruction, it's possible he won't be ready to roll for the start of the 2026 season next fall.

The Athletic's Dianna Russini reports that the New York Jets are making a change at quarterback and will bench Justin Fields in favor of veteran Tyrod Taylor, according to a source. Through 11 weeks, the Jets rank dead-last in the league in passing yards per game under Fields. The 26-year-old has limited the turnovers (one interception) in his first year with the Jets, but he's thrown for only seven touchdowns and 1,259 yards on 204 attempts in nine starts. While last Thursday night's loss to the New England Patriots was one of his better performances, he still threw for only 116 yards and also lost a fumble. Fields has gone under 100 yards passing in four of his nine games in 2025. He could get another shot before the end of the season if Taylor isn't much better, but for now, there's no reason to keep him rostered in redraft fantasy leagues.
From RotoBaller
Houston Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans said on Monday that quarterback C.J. Stroud (head) is still in the league's concussion protocol, according to Sam Warren of the Houston Chronicle. Stroud's status for the upcoming Thursday night contest against the Buffalo Bills in Week 12 is currently unclear. "We'll see how the week goes," Ryans said. The 24-year-old has missed the last two games after suffering a concussion in the Week 9 loss to the Denver Broncos, and it seems more likely than not that he will miss a third straight game on a short week. We'll keep a close eye on his practice status this week, but fantasy managers should be prepared for Stroud to miss another game. If he doesn't get cleared for Thursday, his next chance to play would be in Week 13 against the division-rival Indianapolis Colts. Backup Davis Mills has led Houston to two straight wins with Stroud sidelined.

The Athletic's Dianna Russini reports that the New York Jets are making a change at quarterback and will bench Justin Fields in favor of veteran Tyrod Taylor, according to a source. The Jets will face the Baltimore Ravens in Week 12 and rank last in the league in passing yards per game with 139.9. Fields had a decent day for fantasy managers who started him in last Thursday night's loss to the New England Patriots, but he threw for just 116 yards and a touchdown on 26 pass attempts. Fields has finished under 100 passing yards in four of his nine games in his first year in New York, and the Jets are going to go in another direction as they look for a spark. The 36-year-old Taylor isn't going to be a savior for the Jets, but he could be a steadying presence for the offense. In three games this year, he's gone 43-for-69 for 379 yards with three touchdowns and three picks. At best, Taylor is going to be a low-end desperation streamer for fantasy managers in superflex two-QB leagues going forward.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets QB Tyrod Taylor was named the starting quarterback for Week 12 against the Baltimore Ravens over QB Justin Fields.
Fantasy Spin: Taylor is only an option in superflex leagues you can use an extra quarterback.
From TheHuddle
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Kenneth Gainwell had nine rushing attempts for 24 yards in the Week 11 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, adding a season-high seven receptions on eight targets for 81 yards and receiving touchdowns. The 26-year-old played 63% of the offensive snaps, his second-highest mark of the year, but it coincided with lead back Jaylen Warren (ankle) getting injured in the third quarter and never returning. Warren said after Sunday's win that he could have retaken the field, but the decision to sit out the rest of the game "was part of being smart." It looks like Warren has avoided a serious injury, but fantasy managers with Warren rostered or who need RB depth should consider Gainwell a speculative pickup going into Week 12 against the Chicago Bears. Gainwell is only rostered in 32% of Yahoo leagues.
From RotoBaller
Green Bay Packers standout running back Josh Jacobs' knee is structurally sound, and he won't require surgery, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Jacobs is considered day-to-day, but he could still miss the Week 12 divisional contest against the Minnesota Vikings. ESPN's Rob Demovsky is reporting that Jacobs is "week-to-week." The good news is that Jacobs doesn't have a season-ending knee injury, but fantasy managers should prepare for him to miss at least one game. The 27-year-old has been a must-start RB1 this year in fantasy football, as he has 11 rushing touchdowns in 10 games. Jacobs broke a six-game touchdown streak in the Week 11 win over the New York Giants before injuring his knee. Going into Week 12 action, fantasy managers are going to be rushing to the waiver wire to add Emanuel Wilson, who is fully expected to take over most of Green Bay's backfield work if Jacobs misses time. In deeper leagues, Chris Brooks is worth a look.
From RotoBaller
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins, who has been the most expensive backup QB in the NFL this year, could be forced into starting duties under center for the rest of the year after Michael Penix Jr. (knee) suffered a potentially season-ending knee injury in Sunday's overtime loss to the Carolina Panthers. Penix is seeking a second opinion, but the initial diagnosis is not encouraging. At the very least, the 37-year-old Cousins will likely make his second start of 2025 in Week 12 against the division-rival New Orleans Saints. His fantasy stock is obviously going to jump drastically if Penix misses the rest of the year, but at least in the short term, fantasy managers might want to temper expectations, especially with top receiver Drake London (knee) also expected to miss time with a PCL sprain he suffered on Sunday. In Cousins' lone start against Miami in a 34-10 loss on Oct. 26, he did not look good, going 21-for-31 passing for 173 yards, no touchdowns, and no picks.
From RotoBaller
New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson (toe) is expected to be available for Wednesday's practice, according to head coach Mike Vrabel. The fifth-year pro has been out since Week 9 as he battles a hamstring injury. While Stevenson returned to practice in a limited capacity to begin his prep ahead of their win against the Jets last Thursday night, he was tagged with a DNP to close out the week. It appears the extra few days of rest were enough to get him back to playing shape at least, although he'll return to a less clear situation in the backfield with TreVeyon Henderson's recent surge of production. For now, the most likely scenario would be that the split becomes more even moving forward, but it was trending that way even before he picked up the toe issue. This backfield is worth keeping tabs on when New England squares off with the hosting Cincinnati Bengals in Week 12.
