San Francisco 49ers TE Luke Farrell is expected to be used primarily as a blocking tight end, allowing the team to free up offensive threats such as RB Christian McCaffrey and TE George Kittle to run routes.
Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco told the Kansas City Star's Jesse Newell that he focused on gaining weight this offseason to get closer to his shape at the NFL Combine. "Just going back to 216, 4.37 Isiah Pacheco-style," said Pacheco. The Rutgers product was excellent for Kansas City over his first two seasons, but a fibula fracture in Week 2 of 2024 would derail a fantastic start for him. Miraculously, he'd return in Week 13, but the 26-year-old was not his usual effective self. The missed time caused him to lean out, but head coach Andy Reid notes that Pacheco put on some "good weight" and is looking "tremendous" ahead of the 2025 season. There'll be more competition for him in the Chiefs' backfield this year. However, more time removed from an ugly injury should benefit him. It's unclear whether or not the added weight will be a boon to him. Still, he has an excellent chance at a bounce-back season.

New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson noted on the 7 PM in Brooklyn with Carmelo Anthony podcast that he is relishing the chance to play with the team in New York. "I don't mind the lights. I don't mind that part of it," said the former Seattle Seahawk. He was also very excited about the cast of athletes he'll share the field with, and said that head coach Brian Daboll influenced his decision to land with the Giants. "Here with Dabes, I'm excited because his offensive wizardry is really special. Him and (offensive coordinator Mike) Kafka...people that I know and people that I believe in. I'm excited about the opportunity." There's no guarantee the 36-year-old starts for New York the entire season with fellow veteran signal-caller Jameis Winston and rookie Jaxson Dart waiting in the wings. However, he's undoubtedly a more talented QB than any of their options from 2024. Wilson could have some decent streaming appeal this season as long as he has the starting gig.
From RotoBaller
Cincinnati Bengals TE Mike Gesicki said he is becoming more comfortable in the offseason entering his second season with the team and has a better understanding of what QB Joe Burrow does. 'I think the biggest thing is now that I'm in the same system, I'm not worrying about myself as much,' Gesicki said. 'I can concentrate on the defense more, and knowing Joe, I know I'm going to get that freedom out there.'
Fantasy Spin: Gesicki had a bounce back season in 2024 and should have similar success in the passing game this upcoming season. The Bengals have several options in their passing game, but Gesicki can still be a No. 2 tight end in most fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle participated in individual drills and some team drills during practice Thursday, May 29.
Fantasy Spin: Kittle does not need a lot of work this offseason to be ready for the season, so he likely will be a full participant once training camp begins. He will continue to be one of the most productive tight ends in the NFL in 2025 and will be a weekly starting option in fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
The New England Patriots are considering releasing WR Stefon Diggs, according to Scott Zolak of 98.5 The Sports Hub. On Wednesday, May 28, a video surfaced of Diggs partying on a yacht during Memorial Day weekend with an unidentified pink substance in his possession while surrounded by three women. Zolak claims that the viral video is not the only reason why the organization is considering cutting ties with him, although he did not elaborate on other possible reasons.
Fantasy Spin: Even if Diggs remains on the team, he could miss the beginning of the 2025 season while he recovers from a torn anterior cruciate ligament. When healthy, he can be viewed as a low-end WR2 or high-end WR3 in fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert did not request a trade earlier this offseason or ask to be released after it had been reported that he would have to take a pay cut for 2025 in order to remain on the team, according to PHLY's Zach Berman. He eventually agreed to terms on a one-year, $10 million restructured deal, with an opportunity to earn an additional $1 million in incentives, after previously having been scheduled to make $14.25 million in 2025.
Fantasy Spin: The 30-year-old Goedert had 42 receptions, 496 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns in 10 regular-season games, in addition to 17 catches, 228 all-purpose yards and a touchdown in four postseason contests. He can be viewed as a low-end TE1 or high-end TE2 option in fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
According to Scott Zolak of 98.5 The Sports Hub, a Boston radio station, New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs (knee) may not be a lock to remain on the roster. "I came to this show yesterday with the opinion -- not opinion, but the knowledge that it is on the table," Zolak stated during a recent show regarding the possibility of Diggs getting released. "That it is being thought of. And it's not just the boat. There are some other things that I've heard that put some things in question." The 31-year-old agreed to a three-year, $69 million contract in March after amassing 46 catches for 496 yards and three touchdowns with the Texans in 2024-25. Unfortunately, his first season in Houston was cut short after he tore his ACL in the Week 8 win over the Indianapolis Colts. It's important for fantasy managers to remember that things might not be set in stone, so there is no reason to sound the alarm. If Diggs continues making progress regarding his rehab efforts, there's hope he'll be on the field by Week 4. His presence would undoubtedly be good for second-year signal-caller Drake Maye. But if Diggs gets his walking papers, players like Mack Hollins, Kayshon Boutte, Kendrick Bourne, Kyle Williams, and DeMario Douglas will have a better chance to climb the depth chart.

According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons skipped the second week of OTAs. Parsons was in attendance for the first week, resulting in the 26-year-old receiving praise from head coach Brian Schottenheimer. His presence also led many to suspect that both sides were nearing a new deal. However, it appears that things may not be as cordial as initially believed. Parsons, who is entering the final year of his rookie agreement, has totaled 256 tackles (172 solo) and a whopping 52.5 sacks in 63 games. He's also earned a trip to the Pro Bowl in each of his four seasons in the National Football League. The Cowboys' front office has a history of dragging their feet when it comes to contract negotiations. But the team will need him on the field come training camp, considering Dallas had issues on the defensive side of the ball throughout the 2025 campaign.
From RotoBaller
Baltimore Ravens WR DeAndre Hopkins is 'moving great' at OTAs, according to head coach John Harbaugh. 'He's going to be a big-body, contested-catch receiver for us, certainly,' Harbaugh said.
Fantasy Spin: While Hopkins could prove to be a useful weapon in the red zone, his days as a go-to receiver are over. At best, he is probably a touchdown-dependent WR5.
From TheHuddle
Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix said he is building a good connection with TE Evan Engram during offseason workouts.
Fantasy Spin: Engram should be a valuable part of the Broncos passing game in 2025 if he can stay healthy. He can be considered a low-end No. 1 tight end in most fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
Houston Texans TE Dalton Schultz (undisclosed) worked on a side field with trainers during practice Friday, May 30.
Fantasy Spin: Schultz will have around two months to recover from his injury and probably will be ready for training camp. He saw his numbers drop a bit in 2024 and likely will only be a No. 2 tight end in fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields thinks he could be on the cusp of a breakout season in a new location. "I think I can be great," Fields said. "That's been the goal for me my whole life, my whole career. I think the sky's the limit for this team, for this offense, but we do have a long way to go." Fields signed a two-year, $40 million deal in March and is on his third team after being taken 11th overall by the Chicago Bears in 2021 out of Ohio State. The 26-year-old is also working with his fourth different offensive coordinator in five years. He's known for his elite running ability, but the Jets' goal is to make Fields a complete QB. In his last 12 games, Field has gone 8-4 with 17 total TDs and only seven turnovers. Before that, he went 6-26 with 46 TDs and 35 turnovers. Because of his rushing upside along, Fields will be a high-end QB2, and if he can improve as a passer, QB1 production could follow.
From RotoBaller
The Athletic's Zac Jackson writes that Cleveland Browns rookie second-round running back Quinshon Judkins will get opportunities with the starters sooner than later. Judkins looks the part of an NFL back and is likely to be a big part of their offense after the 21-year-old was selected 36th overall in the second round this year out of Ohio State. He worked with the first-team and third-team offense during OTA practice on Wednesday. Jackson adds that if Judkins can win the starting job by October, the Browns could trade Jerome Ford, who is still the starting RB but is entering the final year of his rookie contract. Judkins may take a back seat to Ford to open the 2025 campaign, but he figures to be at least close to a full-time contributor by the end of his rookie season. The former Buckeye will command a lot of attention in fantasy in both redraft and dynasty/keeper leagues.
From RotoBaller
As things stand during organized team activities, The Athletic's Zac Jackson writes that Cleveland Browns rookie fifth-round quarterback Shedeur Sanders is last in line in the team's QB competition between Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel. Jackson thinks there's almost no scenario where Gabriel or Sanders win the starting job initially. Sanders got the fewest reps in an OTA practice on Wednesday, but he could make noise quickly as long as he's willing to learn and be coached. The 23-year-old's touch and accuracy has been on display early on. Going into his rookie season in the NFL, Sanders' goal is basically to stay in the team's plans and be deemed worthy of further development. It might be a long shot that we see either of Gabriel or Sanders on the field in 2025, and his ceiling as a dynasty asset might be as a backup QB in the NFL.
From RotoBaller
While the Cleveland Browns haven't made any announcements on their quarterback competition, The Athletic's Zac Jackson writes that 18-year veteran Joe Flacco should be well ahead of rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders, and he's also probably ahead of Kenny Pickett. Flacco throws the ball better than the others in a practice setting, and his overall experience makes him the clear favorite to win the job. It's possible that Pickett will outplay Flacco in the coming months, though. Flacco and Pickett alternated turns with the No. 1 offense in practice at OTAs on Wednesday, with Gabriel out-repping Sanders in the second OTA practice. Jackson thinks it's almost a certainty that the QB battle is between Flacco and Pickett. Although Flacco had a nice little run with Cleveland at the end of 2023, he'll be a low-end QB2 option in two-QB fantasy leagues if he wins the starting gig over Pickett this year.
From RotoBaller
Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon (foot) did not participate in voluntary OTA workouts on Friday. Mixon is currently in a walking boot, but it's reportedly not a serious injury. The star running back played through an ankle injury in the playoffs, so maybe it's not 100 percent healed yet. Regardless, fantasy managers shouldn't be concerned as Mixon should be ready to go in time for training camp. The Texans aren't going to push Mixon onto the field this early into camp when he's not fully healthy. This minor injury shouldn't impact his status on draft boards.
From RotoBaller
Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud (pectoral) is not throwing during voluntary OTAs this week. Stroud watched from the sideline on Friday as he's currently nursing a minor pectoral injury. The organization has downplayed this injury. The Texans aren't concerned at all and believe Stroud will increase his activities next week. For now, Davis Mills will run the offense with the first unit until Stroud is feeling better. Fantasy managers shouldn't be concerned by this as it truly sounds like a minor issue. There is no reason for the Texans to have Stroud practice at less than 100 percent this early into camp.
From RotoBaller
Cleveland Browns quarterback Dillon Gabriel appears to be a longshot to win the starting gig to begin the season. Zac Jackson of The Athletic believes there's really no scenario where Gabriel wins the No. 1 spot on Day 1. This news shouldn't really shock anyone as Gabriel was a third-round pick during this year's draft. It's not often that third-round quarterbacks get to start under center Day 1, but that doesn't mean Gabriel is doomed. Both Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders have uphill battles ahead of themselves heading into training camp. It looks like it's going to be a four-quarterback battle between Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Sanders, and Gabriel. Both rookie quarterbacks are worth stashing in dynasty leagues, but fantasy managers shouldn't expect them to be relevant for Week 1.
From RotoBaller
Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Bryce Huff appears to be likely on his way to the San Francisco 49ers. The two sides are reportedly finalizing a deal that would send Huff to San Francisco for a mid-round draft pick. Huff still has two years left on a three-year deal he signed with the Eagles last offseason. He was limited to 12 games due to injury and his stats reflected it. Huff finished with 13 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and one fumble forced during his first season with Philly. In 2023, Huff recorded 10 sacks in 17 games with the New York Jets, so the talent is certainly there. The trade can't be processed until after June 1, so expect something to happen shortly after that.
