DeMarvion Overshown Apr 9 12:40pm CT
    DeMarvion Overshown

Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarvion Overshown (knee) has been progressing well in his recovery from a significant knee injury, and there is optimism that he could return around the middle of the 2025 season, sources tell FOX Sports' Jordan Schultz. Overshown was having a breakout campaign in 2024 before his knee injury, piling up 84 tackles, five sacks, an interception, a forced fumble, one fumble recovery, eight tackles for loss and a defensive touchdown in the first 13 games (12 starts) of his NFL career. The 24-year-old former third-rounder (90th overall) in 2023 out of Texas had surgery to fix ACL, MCL and PCL tears in his right knee on Dec. 18. The Cowboys will just be hoping that Overshown will be able to show the same type of burst he had as a pass-rusher in his rookie year when he returns from his serious knee injury. Fantasy managers in single-year IDP formats can ignore Overshown to begin the season.

Trevon Diggs Apr 9 12:40pm CT
    Trevon Diggs

Dallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said that cornerback Trevon Diggs (knee) might not be ready for the start of the 2025 regular season this fall. Diggs had surgery on his left knee in late January, putting his status firmly in doubt for Week 1, especially since it's the same knee the 26-year-old defensive back suffered an ACL tear in back in 2023. In addition to his knee injury, Diggs also dealt with ankle, calf and foot injuries in 2024 and was limited to 11 starts, recording 42 tackles (35 solo), two interceptions and 11 pass breakups in his fifth year in Dallas. The former second-round selection (51st overall) in 2020 out of Alabama was a first-team All-Pro in 2021 when he had a league-high 11 interceptions. Since then, though, Diggs has had six picks in 30 games and has been saddled by injuries the last two seasons.

Matthew Golden Apr 9 12:30pm CT
    Matthew Golden

The Green Bay Packers are expected to hose University of Texas wide receiver Matthew Golden for a top-30 visit soon, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Tom Silverstein. The 5-foot-11, 191-pounder showed blazing speed (4.29-second 40-yard dash at the NFL combine) and is in contention to be the first wideout taken in this year's NFL draft at the end of the month. The 21-year-old pass-catcher also had a formal interview with the Packers at the combine. Golden had 58 catches for 987 yards and nine touchdowns last year at Texas and could be an immediate deep threat in Green Bay in his rookie year with Christian Watson (knee) potentially missing half the year. Although there's no guarantee the Packers will take a receiver in the first round, it's clear they will address the position in the draft, as they are also meeting with Texas WR Isaiah Bond.

Kyler Murray Apr 9 12:20pm CT
    Kyler Murray

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray said that he feels like he needs to run more in 2025 and is open to running more next season. "It's such a weapon," Murray said. The 27-year-old two-time Pro Bowler and former Offensive Rookie of the Year ran the ball 78 times for 572 yards (7.3 yards per carry) and five touchdowns in 17 starts in 2024. His 572 rushing yards ranked fourth in the league behind Lamar Jackson, Jayden Daniels and Jalen Hurts, with his five TDs tying him for sixth-most in the NFL. As a passer, Murray completed 68.8% of his 541 pass attempts for 3,851 yards, 21 touchdowns and 11 touchdowns. Overall, he finished as the QB10 in fantasy scoring, and his elite rushing ability should continue to give him a high floor as a low-end QB1. If he makes good on his promise to run more in 2025, he could end up being even more of a value pick at the position in fantasy drafts this fall.

Omarion Hampton Apr 9 12:20pm CT
    Omarion Hampton

The Pittsburgh Steelers are hosting North Carolina running back Omarion Hampton, Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon II and Oregon defensive tackle Derrick Harmon on pre-draft visits on Wednesday, according to The Athletic's Mike DeFabo. Hampton, who was a two-time All-American with the Tar Heels, is the biggest name here and is expected to come off the board in the first round at the end of this month. Pittsburgh has Jaylen Warren and added Kenneth Gainwell to their backfield after the departure of Najee Harris in free agency, but it's clear they aren't done adding to the position for the 2025 season. The Steelers have the 21st overall pick in the first round of this year's NFL draft and could be right in the wheelhouse to take Hampton, who would be expected to eventually work as the team's primary back over Warren in 2025.

Shedeur Sanders Apr 9 12:10pm CT
    Shedeur Sanders

University of Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders is scheduled to visit with the Las Vegas Raiders early next week, sources tell FOX Sports' Jordan Schultz. The Raiders already have QB Geno Smith, who they just signed to an extension, but they hold the No. 6 overall pick in this year's NFL draft and could decide to take Sanders as their signal-caller of the future. They have been doing their homework on other QB prospects in this year's draft class as well and aren't done yet. The 23-year-old is the consensus No. 2 QB in this year's draft class behind Miami's Cam Ward, but his draft stock has been falling a bit in recent weeks. It's unclear if the Raiders would be willing to pull the trigger so early on a QB prospect that would have to sit and wait behind Smith in his first season or two in the NFL. Vegas also plans to host Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart for a top-30 visit soon.

Isaiah Bond Apr 8 10:50pm CT
    Isaiah Bond

The Green Bay Packers are scheduled to host University of Texas wide receiver Isaiah Bond on a top-30 visit on Wednesday, a league source told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Tom Silverstein. Many draft analysts believe this could be the year the Packers take a receiver in the first round, but if they don't, they could elect to draft a player like Bond on Day 2 or 3. In addition to Bond, the Packers have taken a look at Stanford pass-catcher Elic Ayomanor. After adding only Mecole Hardman in free agency at the position, Green Bay is primed to address the position in this year's NFL draft, especially with Christian Watson (knee) potentially missing half of the 2025 season. Bond lacks size but could excel as a shifty wide receiver in space in head coach Matt LaFleur's offense, while Ayomanor's skillset makes him more of a downfield threat.

Winston Reid Apr 8 10:40pm CT
    Winston Reid

Cleveland Browns exclusive-rights free-agent linebacker Winston Reid signed his tender on Tuesday to officially return to the team for the 2025 season. Reid will return for his second NFL season in Cleveland after recording 23 tackles (15 solo), half a sack, two pass breakups and one fumble recovery in 16 games (three starts) in his rookie year after going undrafted out of Weber State. The 25-year-old linebacker will return to the Browns and will enter training camp this summer in a reserve role at middle linebacker behind Jordan Hicks. He will be hoping to perform well enough in camp and the preseason to earn a 53-man roster spot going into Week 1 this fall.

Matthew Golden Apr 8 10:40pm CT
    Matthew Golden

University of Texas wide receiver Matthew Golden will visit with the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday after meeting with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Tuesday, sources tell FOX Sports' Jordan Schultz. Golden ran a 4.29-second 40-yard dash and has been touted as a natural leader, a consistent worker and a big-game performer. "I think Golden's one of those guys who didn't fully realize how good he could be until it started clicking. Once he tasted success, he just kept working," one college scouting director said. The 21-year-old will be a strong downfield target at the next level and could complement CeeDee Lamb quite well with the Cowboys in his rookie season. In his lone season with the Longhorns in 2024, Golden had 58 catches for 987 yards and nine touchdowns, and he's in contention to be the first wideout taken in the NFL draft later this month. The Cowboys hold the No. 12 overall pick in Round 1.

Jalen Milroe Apr 8 10:30pm CT
    Jalen Milroe

Louisville quarterback Tyler Shough made a top-30 visit with the Cleveland Browns on Tuesday, along with Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart and Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe, a league source told The Cleveland Plain Dealer's Mary Kay Cabot. With the No. 2 overall pick in this year's NFL draft and with Kenny Pickett their only healthy signal-caller on the roster, it's no surprise the Browns are doing their due diligence on the QB position. It was believed the Browns wouldn't pass up a QB at No. 2 a few months ago, but now they are trending toward taking Colorado receiver/defensive back Travis Hunter now that it's become more clear that the Titans are set on taking Miami QB Cam Ward at No. 1 overall. The Browns don't pick again until No. 33 overall in the second round, although they could end up trading back into the back end of the first round for one of Dart, Milroe or Shough if they like them enough.

James Cook Apr 8 10:20pm CT
    James Cook

Despite a contract impasse with the Buffalo Bills and the fact that he put his house up for sale in Buffalo, running back James Cook "will play for the Bills next season," according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Things are "not great" between Cook and the Bills. The 25-year-old has a $5.3 million salary for the 2025 season, which is the last year of his rookie deal, and he's made it known he's looking for at least $15 million per year. Buffalo would like to sign him to a long-term extension, but at the moment the two sides aren't remotely close in negotiations. The former second-rounder (63rd overall) in 2022 out of Georgia has back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons and led the NFL with 16 rushing touchdowns in 16 regular-season games in 2024. Cook will be Buffalo's RB1 again in 2025, but fantasy managers must plan for TD regression, and the Bills could be looking to split the workload more with Ty Johnson and Ray Davis.

Jaxson Dart Apr 8 7:10pm CT
    Jaxson Dart

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart visited with the Cleveland Browns on Tuesday and will fly to Las Vegas to see the Raiders next. Schefter also noted that the 21-year-old has spent "considerable time" with the Giants, Saints, and Rams throughout the interview process. Dart's stock has risen over the past few months, and he was mocked to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first round of Mel Kiper Jr.'s most recent mock draft. The Kaysville, Utah, native improved steadily each of his collegiate seasons and put it all together in his final year at Ole Miss. It's unclear whether he would see the field immediately, as he currently projects as a backup per his prospect grade. Still, with quarterbacks getting pushed up boards in recent years, the trend will likely continue.

Sam Franklin Apr 8 6:50pm CT
    Sam Franklin

The Denver Broncos have agreed with free agent safety Sam Franklin on a one-year $1.5 million contract. The Temple alum joined the Carolina Panthers in 2020 as an undrafted free agent and spent all five seasons of his career with the team. Franklin appeared in 74 games for Carolina (nine starts), logging 105 tackles (71 solo) and three for loss. He recorded one sack and five pass breakups, and his lone interception was a 99-yard touchdown. Though the 29-year-old appeared in ten games last season, he did not record a single statistic on defense, spending most of his playing time on special teams. It's likely that Franklin will serve as depth in Denver's defensive backfield.

Travis Hunter Apr 8 6:40pm CT
    Travis Hunter

According to the NFL's Ian Rapoport, Georgia Bulldog linebacker Jalon Walker visited with the Cleveland Browns on Monday. Many believe the Browns will go with edge rusher Abdul Carter or wide receiver/defensive back hybrid Travis Hunter with their second-overall pick. However, it appears Cleveland is exhausting every avenue before they're officially on the clock, including Walker -- arguably the draft's top linebacker prospect. The North Carolina native is an explosive defender who could undoubtedly aid the Browns' defense in returning to their 2023 form. Fortunately for Cleveland, they'll have their pick of the litter, sans whom the Tennessee Titans select at one. Furthermore, they could go down a few different avenues of team improvement with their draft choice.

Shedeur Sanders Apr 8 6:20pm CT
    Shedeur Sanders

FOX Sports NFL Insider Jordan Schultz reports that the Pittsburgh Steelers are hosting Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders for a visit on Thursday. Schultz also notes that Pittsburgh remains "very interested" in veteran QB Aaron Rodgers but has done extensive work on this year's slew of signal-callers. The Steelers hold the No. 21 pick. Sanders has been a polarizing prospect throughout the pre-draft process, linked to a few teams now, scattered throughout the first round. He was an accurate distributor in his senior season, posting career highs across the board, averaging 318.0 passing yards per game. It will be interesting to see how high the 23-year-old is selected and the situation he finds himself in. Sanders was often schemed open throws underneath last year at Colorado, contributing to his outstanding 74% completion rate. We'll see if he can elevate his play on the NFL field.

Jonathan Gannon Apr 8 2:00pm CT
    Jonathan Gannon

The Arizona Cardinals hosted Tennessee edge rusher James Pearce Jr. on Monday and plan to host Georgia edge rusher Mykel Williams on Wednesday, according to NFL insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo. The Cardinals ranked 28th in pass rush win rate (33%) last season, and that is a clear area of need for the organization under head coach Jonathan Gannon. Pearce was a first-team All-SEC selection in 2023 and 2024 behind 17 sacks over the last two campaigns. Williams was a second-team All-SEC performer with 9.5 sacks over the same span. Both prospects present a high upside at the next level.

Justin Simmons Apr 8 1:40pm CT
    Justin Simmons

Four-time All-Pro safety Justin Simmons remains unsigned following the first month of NFL free agency, and the 31-year-old is in no rush to join a new team as he waits to find the right fit. Simmons signed with the Atlanta Falcons last August after spending eight seasons with the Denver Broncos, so a similar timeline could play out in 2025. Simmons has collected 665 tackles (478 solo), 4.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, 32 interceptions, and 71 pass deflections since being selected in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft out of Boston College. Simmons mentioned the Philadelphia Eagles as a potential landing spot thanks to his previous relationship with former Broncos head coach and current Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, but he'll continue to wait for the right opportunity to continue his playing career into his 10th NFL season.

Jared Goff Apr 8 1:30pm CT
    Jared Goff

The Detroit Lions have finished as a top-five total offense in each of the last three seasons under offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, who departed this offseason to become the head coach of the Chicago Bears. While there will certainly be changes under new play-caller John Morton, head coach Dan Campbell believes the team will not regress on the offensive side of the ball. "This is a Detroit Lion offense, is what it is. This offense is Jared Goff, (Amon-Ra) St. Brown, (Jahmyr) Gibbs, (David) Montgomery," Campbell said. "It's Frank (Ragnow); it's (Penei) Sewell; it's (Taylor) Decker. I can keep (going). It's (Jameson Williams). That's what we are. (The players are) the ones who make it what it is. That's our playbook, those guys." While there could be growing pains early in the season, Campbell is right, and the offense has plenty of talent across the entire starting lineup to continue to produce at a high level for fantasy football.

Shedeur Sanders Apr 8 1:30pm CT
    Shedeur Sanders

Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders was once viewed as a potential top-five selection in the 2025 NFL Draft, but his stock has seemingly been falling over the last few weeks. Now, the New Orleans Saints, who hold the No. 9 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, are listed by DraftKings with the best odds (+275) of taking Sanders among all NFL teams. In ESPN's Mel Kiper's latest mock draft on Tuesday, he has New Orleans pulling the trigger on Sanders in the nine-hole. While the Saints still have Derek Carr on the roster, the search for the quarterback of the future could already be underway under new head coach Kellen Moore. Sanders, who threw for 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions in his final collegiate season, could fit that bill. If he's taken by New Orleans, he'll likely spend at least a chunk of his rookie season on the bench.

Geno Smith Apr 8 1:20pm CT
    Geno Smith

The Las Vegas Raiders traded for Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith last month before signing him to a two-year $75 million contract this week. The move united Smith back with former Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, a reconnection the two are excited about. "I think there is unfinished business, and I think when people think about my story, you know, Coach Carroll was a big part of that," Smith said. "He gave me an opportunity when not many people would have. He saw the hard work that I was putting in, he saw the things behind the scenes that I do that allow me to get this opportunity." Smith enjoyed the best season of his career under Carroll in 2022, passing for 4,282 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. While Smith will be on the fantasy football radar in Superflex and two-QB leagues, he'll likely be a fringe starter in single-QB setups in a rebuilding Raiders' offense. However, tight end Brock Bowers and wide receiver Jakobi Meyers give him formidable weapons to put together a solid passing attack.
