Field Level Media

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 15 of his 34 points in the third quarter to help Oklahoma City earn a 119-98 home win over San Antonio on Tuesday, the Thunder's first victory in four matchups with the Spurs this season.

The Spurs were held below 100 points for the first time this season. They have lost back-to-back games and six of their past 10 since beating Oklahoma City for the third time in a 13-day span. The Thunder earned their fourth consecutive win.

Gilgeous-Alexander finished 11 of 23 from the field with five rebounds, five assists and a career high-tying four blocks. Chet Holmgren added 10 rebounds and three blocks as the Thunder finished with a season-high-tying 11 blocks. Jalen Williams scored 20 points.

Stephon Castle led the Spurs with 20 points while Victor Wembanyama added 17.

Lakers 141, Hawks 116

LeBron James compiled 31 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds, Luka Doncic added 27 points with 12 assists and Los Angeles ended a three-game losing streak with a victory over visiting Atlanta.

Deandre Ayton scored 17 points and grabbed a season-high 18 rebounds for the Lakers, who shot 60.5% from the floor in a dominating first half and 57.8% in the game. Los Angeles led 81-60 at halftime, its highest scoring first half of the season.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker scored 26 points for the Hawks. CJ McCollum added 25 in his second game with Atlanta after a trade from the Washington Wizards on Friday.

Heat 127, Suns 121

Bam Adebayo scored 13 consecutive Miami points late in the fourth quarter, leading the host Heat to a win over Phoenix.

Norman Powell backed up Adebayo with 27 points, including the go-ahead 3-pointer with just over 48 seconds left, after missing a game due to a back injury. Tyler Herro added 23 points, and Jaime Jaquez Jr. logged 16 points and a team-high eight assists off the bench.

Grayson Allen and Dillon Brooks scored 25 points each, but the Suns' winning streak ended at three games. Devin Booker contributed 24 points, nine rebounds and a game-high nine assists, while Mark Williams added 18 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.

Rockets 119, Bulls 113

Kevin Durant and Alperen Sengun recorded double-doubles and Jabari Smith Jr. drilled three late jumpers as Houston outlasted visiting Chicago.

Durant paired 28 points with 10 rebounds, Sengun added 23 points and 11 assists and Smith notched 18 points. Amen Thompson also added 23 points for the Rockets on a night when neither team led by double digits.

Chicago's Tre Jones piled up a career-high 34 points on 11-for-12 shooting with Josh Giddey and Coby White out with injuries. Matas Buzelis scored 15 of his 19 points in the second half.

Timberwolves 139, Bucks 106

Even without Anthony Edwards and Rudy Gobert, Minnesota dominated host Milwaukee behind 29 points from Julius Randle.

Bones Hyland added 23 points for the Timberwolves, who won their sixth game in seven tries. Naz Reid added 19 while Randle also grabbed eight rebounds and dished six assists. Edwards sat out due to right foot injury maintenance. Gobert served a one-game suspension due to accumulating his sixth flagrant foul of the season in Minnesota's last game.

Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 25 points on 9-of-13 shooting, and he grabbed eight rebounds. Bobby Portis, starting in place of Myles Turner (illness), added 14 points.

Nuggets 122, Pelicans 116

Jamal Murray collected 35 points and nine assists and Peyton Watson added 31 points and seven rebounds, lifting visiting Denver to a victory over reeling New Orleans.

Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 18 points off the bench to help the Nuggets win their fourth game in their last five contests despite being outrebounded 51-32 and outscored in the paint 56-38.

Trey Murphy III scored 31 points on 11-of-18 shooting from the floor for the Pelicans, who have one win in their past 12 games. Saddiq Bey had 17 points, and Jordan Poole added 16 off the bench.

Warriors 119, Trail Blazers 97

De'Anthony Melton led a balanced attack with a season-high 23 points, Stephen Curry had more assists than points for the first time since last April and Golden State beat Portland for the first time in four tries this season in San Francisco.

Jimmy Butler III (16 points), Brandin Podziemski (15), Moses Moody (14) and Draymond Green (10) also scored in double figures as the Warriors managed their third win in four games despite Curry recording a season-low seven points. However, he compensated with a campaign-best 11 assists.

Shaedon Sharpe topped the Blazers with 19 points, while Caleb Love scored 17. It was Portland's first loss to the Warriors in four matchups this season.

Player Notes
Luka Doncic Tue Jan 13 10:10pm

Los Angeles Lakers point guard Luka Doncic (groin) will play on Tuesday night against the Atlanta Hawks. The Lakers conclude a back-to-back with this matchup, and it was initially uncertain if Doncic would play after the team listed him as questionable on the injury report. Ahead of tip-off, the Lakers have upgraded Doncic's status to available. Doncic eased his way to 42 points on Monday night against the Sacramento Kings and has averaged 34.0 points for the month. Additionally, he has notched 7.2 rebounds, 8.8 assists, and 2.2 steals per game in January.

LeBron James Tue Jan 13 10:00pm

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (foot, sciatica) will be active against the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night. The team has upgraded James' status from questionable to available. James is good to go for the second leg of a back-to-back after putting in a 33-minute shift in Monday's loss to the Sacramento Kings. The legendary forward, who turned 41 on Dec. 30, has started 2026 strongly, posting 27.0 points, 7.4 rebounds, 7.4 assists, and 1.4 steals per game.

Max Christie Tue Jan 13 10:00pm

Dallas Mavericks guard/forward Max Christie (illness) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Denver Nuggets. Christie is battling an illness and may be absent from the Mavericks' lineup for the first time since Dec. 22. The 22-year-old has made eight straight starts, averaging 15.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.0 assists over that span. If Christie can't play in Wednesday's game, we may see Klay Thompson join the starting lineup. At the same time, Jaden Hardy could also have a larger role.

PJ Washington Tue Jan 13 9:50pm

Dallas Mavericks forward P.J. Washington (ankle) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Denver Nuggets. Although Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd announced Monday that Washington would be out for a week, his questionable designation hints he could be ready to play even sooner. If Washington misses a fifth consecutive game on Wednesday, Naji Marshall will continue to have additional fantasy value. He has been a starter in each of the last four games, averaging 17.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 2.0 steals.

Jakob Poeltl Tue Jan 13 9:30pm

Toronto Raptors center Jakob Poeltl (back) won't be ready to rejoin the lineup on Wednesday against the Indiana Pacers. Last week, Poeltl was cleared for contact, but he remains sidelined due to a lower back strain. The Austrian giant has been out since Dec. 21. During his absence, rookie Collin Murray-Boyles has become a regular starter at center, producing some really exciting performances. Across January, Murray-Boyles has averaged 10.5 points, 8.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.0 blocks, and 2.0 steals in 30.2 minutes. On Wednesday, Murray-Boyles may have an even larger workload, with Sandro Mamukelashvili (illness) listed as questionable on the injury report.

RJ Barrett Tue Jan 13 9:20pm

Toronto Raptors guard/forward RJ Barrett (ankle) won't be in action on Wednesday against the Indiana Pacers, missing a third consecutive game. With Ja'Kobe Walter (hip) also sidelined, Jamal Shead is likely to maintain a starting role on Wednesday night. Shead started both games of a recent back-to-back against the Philadelphia 76ers and had two very contrasting performances. He finished the first game on Sunday with 22 points but produced a three-point dud in Monday's loss. On Wednesday, Shead faces a more attractive fantasy matchup against a team that allows the third-most points in the Eastern Conference.

Rui Hachimura Tue Jan 13 9:10pm

Los Angeles Lakers forward Rui Hachimura (calf) will have his playing time restricted to 18 minutes on Tuesday against the Atlanta Hawks, Thuc Nhi Nguyen of the Los Angeles Times reports. On Monday against the Sacramento Kings, Hachimura was cleared to make his first appearance of the new year, but he didn't see any action off the Lakers' bench. It looks to be a different story on Tuesday as the Lakers complete a back-to-back. However, fantasy managers won't get full value from Hachimura, whose season average for minutes stands at 32.5 per game.

Trae Young Tue Jan 13 9:10pm

Washington Wizards point guard Trae Young (knee, quadriceps) won't be in the lineup on Wednesday versus the Los Angeles Clippers. Young officially became a member of the Wizards late last week, but a couple of health issues will delay his debut for his new team. The talented playmaker is sidelined due to an MCL sprain and a quadriceps contusion. Youngsters Bub Carrington and Tre Johnson will get more playing time with Young on the shelf.

Ivica Zubac Tue Jan 13 9:00pm

Los Angeles Clippers center Ivica Zubac (ankle) is in danger of missing Wednesday's fantastic fantasy matchup against the Washington Wizards. Zubac missed the end of Monday's win over the Charlotte Hornets due to a left ankle sprain and could now sit out an entire contest. If Zubac can't play through the injury, the Clippers will probably reintroduce Brook Lopez to the starting lineup, with Yanic Konan Niederhauser potentially rejoining the rotation. John Collins is also an option to fill minutes at the center position. Washington allows the most fantasy points in the league to centers.

Jerami Grant Tue Jan 13 8:50pm

Portland Trail Blazers forward Jerami Grant (Achilles) will remain out on Tuesday night against the Golden State Warriors. The team ruled Grant out for the contest after initially listing him as doubtful. Grant hasn't played since mid-December and will miss his 14th consecutive game due to left Achilles tendinitis. Sidy Cissoko is poised to make another start in Grant's absence, while the entire group must also cover for Deni Avdija (back) on Tuesday night. Grant's next chance to return will be on Thursday against the Atlanta Hawks.

Kawhi Leonard Tue Jan 13 8:50pm

Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard (ankle) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's tilt against the Washington Wizards. Leonard has been a regular on the injury report lately due to an ankle injury, but he hasn't missed time since Nov. 22. After shaking off the questionable tag on Monday night, Leonard dropped 35 points on the Charlotte Hornets. If Leonard can't shed the questionable tag on Wednesday, Nicolas Batum, Kobe Sanders, and Jordan Miller could see more action.

Paul George Tue Jan 13 8:40pm

Philadelphia 76ers guard/forward Paul George (knee) is probable for Wednesday's matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The veteran star has played in 10 of the last 11 games and is expected to suit up on Wednesday. George has struggled with his shot lately, averaging 15.5 points in January. Over his last two outings, George has connected on just 1-of-13 attempts from beyond the arc. On Wednesday night, George will be in a good spot to end his shooting slump, as teams are hitting a league-high 38.6 percent of their threes against the Cavaliers.

VJ Edgecombe Tue Jan 13 8:40pm

Philadelphia 76ers guard VJ Edgecombe (adductor) is on the injury report with a probable tag ahead of Tuesday's matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The 20-year-old is dealing with a left adductor contusion, but the issue isn't expected to keep him off the floor against Cleveland. When these teams first faced off this season, Edgecombe managed only seven points in 37 minutes. The rookie has been going through growing pains all season, but his overall numbers are solid. Across 34 appearances, Edgecombe has averaged 16.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 1.6 steals.

Joel Embiid Tue Jan 13 8:30pm

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) is considered probable for Wednesday's meeting with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Embiid returned from a one-game absence in Monday's matchup against the Toronto Raptors and appears ready for a second consecutive appearance. On Monday, Embiid had seven turnovers in 36 minutes, but he also did plenty of positive things in a 115-102 victory. The former MVP posted 27 points and collected eight rebounds, along with four assists and two steals. Wednesday's matchup will be more difficult for Embiid, as Cleveland has limited centers to 19.9 points per game.

Anthony Davis Tue Jan 13 8:20pm

Dallas Mavericks forward/center Anthony Davis (hand) will not require surgery on his injured left hand, the team announced on Tuesday. He is expected to "heal from the injury" in approximately six weeks. Davis was previously expected to undergo surgery, which would have sidelined him for "several months." Still, it's possible Davis has played his final game as a Maverick, with trade rumors surrounding him. With Davis out, Daniel Gafford will continue to start at center, though he has also faced health issues in 2025-26. Moussa Cisse and Dwight Powell round out the remaining center options for Dallas.

Norman Powell Tue Jan 13 6:20pm

According to Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel, Miami Heat guard/forward Norman Powell (back) will play against the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday. Powell was sidelined for Sunday's 124-112 loss to the Thunder due to soreness in his lower back. With Powell active, Pelle Larsson will return to Miami's second unit after stepping up while Powell was absent against OKC. The 24-year-old finished with 16 points, three rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block.

Luguentz Dort Tue Jan 13 6:00pm

Oklahoma City Thunder guard/forward Luguentz Dort (foot) won't play on Tuesday against the San Antonio Spurs. Dort is dealing with a sore left foot and will miss his 10th game of the season. The 26-year-old Canadian could see action versus the Rockets, barring any setbacks on Thursday. While Dort is sidelined during tonight's tilt, Ajay Mitchell will likely see more minutes and could be an excellent option for fantasy managers.

Jaxson Hayes Tue Jan 13 5:40pm

Los Angeles Lakers center Jaxson Hayes (hamstring) is unavailable for Tuesday's matchup with the Atlanta Hawks due to left hamstring soreness. The Lakers are being careful with Hayes and will have him sit out the second night of this back-to-back set. With Hayes out of action, Deandre Ayton may take on extra minutes. At the same time, Jarred Vanderbilt could have more opportunities to contribute than he usually does during this evening's clash in Los Angeles.

Luke Kennard Tue Jan 13 5:20pm

Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports that Atlanta Hawks guard Luke Kennard (neck) won't play against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday. Kennard is dealing with a neck sprain and will miss the second night of a back-to-back. The 29-year-old sharpshooter played 20 minutes on Sunday, finishing with 22 points and six three-pointers. With CJ McCollum now with the Hawks and Trae Young in Washington, Kennard's role is uncertain in the long run once he returns to action.

LeBron James Tue Jan 13 5:10pm

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (foot/sciatica) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's matchup with the Atlanta Hawks. James could get the evening off due to managing soreness in his foot and back, as the Lakers are on the last set of back-to-back games. He finished with 22 points, four rebounds, three assists and one steal across 33 minutes during a 124-112 loss to Sacramento on Tuesday. Luka Doncic (thigh/groin) is also in danger of missing the contest as he is dealing with a thigh and groin issue.
