Steven Adams Tue Jan 20 2:40pm

Houston Rockets center Steven Adams (ankle) has been ruled out of Tuesday's contest against the Spurs. The Big Kiwi started on Sunday against the Pelicans and had five points, 10 boards, and two assists before leaving after 27 minutes with his ankle injury. He was unable to put much weight on the injury and had to be helped to the locker room, so it isn't surprising that he'll miss some time, even though preliminary tests on Adams' ankle revealed no fracture. With Adams out, Clint Capela will likely get more time as the backup center behind Alperen Sengun, while Dorian Finney-Smith and Josh Okogie could get more time at forward with Sengun in the middle if Tari Eason (ankle, questionable) isn't ready to return on Tuesday.

RJ Barrett Tue Jan 20 2:30pm

Toronto Raptors guard/forward RJ Barrett (ankle) is still not ready to return from a sprained left ankle, and he'll miss his sixth straight game on Tuesday, when his team visits the Warriors. Barrett hasn't been given a concrete timeline, but he hasn't been able to return to practice yet either, so a return doesn't seem like it's coming soon. The Raptors play again on Wednesday against the Kings, which would be his next chance to return. With Ja'Kobe Walter (hip) also out, Jamal Shead and Grady Dick have been getting more work, with Ochai Agbaji also helping absorb more minutes on the wing. Those options will all stay busy on Tuesday against Golden State with Barrett still out.

Tari Eason Tue Jan 20 2:30pm

Houston Rockets forward Tari Eason (ankle) has missed the last five games with an ankle injury, but he is questionable to get back in the action on Tuesday night, when the Rockets host the Spurs in a Texas-sized matchup in Houston. Eason was playing well before the injury, scoring double-digit points and posting at least eight rebounds in five straight games before leaving the team's loss to the Blazers with his injury. In his place, Steven Adams (ankle) started on Sunday, but Adams is also out on Tuesday, leaving more time potentially for Josh Okogie, Dorian Finney-Smith, and Jae'Sean Tate to fill in at power forward.

Patrick Williams Tue Jan 20 2:20pm

Bulls forward Patrick Williams (ankle) was listed as questionable for Tuesday night's home game against the visiting Clippers. He missed Sunday's game against the Nets after leaving Friday's game in Brooklyn with a sprained ankle. Williams has not been contributing very much this season, scoring just 6.5 points in 18 minutes per game, but if he's out again on Tuesday, there will be more time for Jalen Smith, who has been excellent lately, producing three straight double-doubles and averaging 11.2 points and 9.5 rebounds in 24.8 minutes per game. Smith started the Bulls game on Sunday and is a player on the rise right now for Chicago. Even if Williams is healthy enough to return, Smith should continue to play ahead of him, given how productive each has been this season.

Cam Christie Tue Jan 20 2:20pm

Los Angeles Clippers guard/forward Cam Christie (abdominal) has played at least 19 minutes in each of the team's last three games, but the rookie is questionable for Tuesday's matchup against the Bulls, as the Clippers finish a back-to-back set of games. Christie had 16 points in 20 minutes off the bench against the Raptors on Friday to help fuel a comeback, and he followed that up with six points in 19 minutes on Monday. He took a hard foul in the fourth quarter on Monday, which could be when he sustained the injury, but the team hasn't given any details about what he is dealing with. If he's out on Tuesday, there would be a few more minutes available for the rest of the wings coming off the bench.

Naz Reid Tue Jan 20 2:10pm

Minnesota Timberwolves forward/center Naz Reid (shoulder) was originally listed as questionable for Tuesday's road game against the Jazz, but he was upgraded to available on Tuesday afternoon. Reid left Saturday's game against the Spurs after just five minutes with shoulder soreness and was unable to return, but he'll keep his streak intact of playing every game this season for Minnesota by bouncing back to return on Tuesday. In his 43 games, Reid has produced 14.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 0.9 blocks in 26 minutes per contest. He has a favorable matchup against the Jazz on Tuesday night and will be the primary backup big behind Rudy Gobert and Julius Randle.

Mark Williams Tue Jan 20 2:00pm

Phoenix Suns center Mark Williams (injury management) was listed as questionable for Tuesday night, when his team visits the 76ers on the second night of a back-to-back. Williams posted 16 points, eight rebounds, three blocks, and two steals over 29 minutes on Monday against the Nets to help the Suns to a nine-point road victory. He has played back-to-backs this season, but the team is still monitoring his workload carefully, so they could opt to give him Tuesday off, especially with Joel Embiid (injury management) sitting out on the other side. If Williams does miss this contest, there should be more minutes and usage available for Oso Ighodaro and Nick Richards.

    Collin Murray-Boyles Tue Jan 20 2:00pm

Toronto Raptors forward/center Collin Murray-Boyles (thumb) will miss Tuesday's game against the Warriors after leaving Sunday's game against the Lakers. At the time, the team thought he was dealing with a left thumb sprain, but now they are calling the injury a "left thumb contusion," which would seem to be a less severe injury. It will still cost him at least one game, though, since he'll miss Tuesday's game against Golden State. With Jakob Poeltl (back) still out as well, Sandro Mamukelashvili should get all the work he can handle, with Jonathan Mogbo also taking on more work at center. Mogbo hasn't played many minutes this year, but has shown he can be a very interesting punt play when given opportunities, with multi-category production as a DFS or streaming option. Mamukelashvili can score points in bunches and is also worth considering while Murray-Boyles is out.

Joel Embiid Tue Jan 20 1:50pm

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (injury management) will not play on the second night of the team's back-to-back when they take on the Suns in Philly on Tuesday. Embiid had 30 points and nine rebounds in 33 minutes in the Sixers' win on Monday, but has still not been cleared to play in both games of back-to-back sets. In his place on Tuesday, look for Adem Bona and Andre Drummond to get more work against the Suns, who listed their starting center, Mark Williams, as questionable for injury management for this contest as well.

Paul George Tue Jan 20 1:50pm

Philadelphia 76ers guard/forward Paul George (knee) sat out Monday's matchup against the Pacers, but the team listed him as questionable for Tuesday's matchup with the Suns, when the team finishes their back-to-back. Since PG has played three straight games before sitting on Monday, it seems very possible he'll be back in action on Tuesday. In his 23 games this season, he has averaged 15.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.3 steals in 29.8 minutes per game. If he is back in the mix on Tuesday, Quentin Grimes and Kelly Oubre Jr. will have less work available on the wings.

Josh Giddey Tue Jan 20 7:30am

Chicago Bulls guard Josh Giddey (hamstring) was upgraded to questionable on the injury report ahead of Tuesday's meeting with the Los Angeles Clippers. He carried a doubtful tag before Saturday's contest against the Brooklyn Nets and missed his 10th straight game. If he returns against the Clippers, Giddey will probably have a minutes restriction and won't offer full value to fantasy managers. Still, he has a versatile skill set and can make a mark even with limited playing time. Giddey's return will cut into the minutes of Tre Jones, Ayo Dosunmu, and Kevin Huerter. Additionally, Matas Buzelis and Nikola Vucevic are expected to see reduced roles in the offense.

Zaccharie Risacher Tue Jan 20 7:20am

Atlanta Hawks forward Zaccharie Risacher (knee) won't play this week and will be re-evaluated next Monday, the team announced. The 2025 first-overall pick is set to miss a seventh consecutive game on Wednesday against the Memphis Grizzlies. Risacher is dealing with a bone contusion in his left knee. Vit Krejci has filled in as a starter for most of Risacher's absence, but on Monday versus the Milwaukee Bucks, Corey Kispert took his place in the first unit. The duo combined for two points on 1-for-10 shooting, so fantasy managers should look past this situation.

Rudy Gobert Tue Jan 20 7:20am

Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert (hip) has been removed from the injury report ahead of Tuesday's matchup against the Utah Jazz. The French giant is ready to rock against his former team after missing Saturday's loss to the San Antonio Spurs with a hip issue. Last week, Gobert sat out an additional game due to suspension. He should be fresh and fired up for Tuesday's very favorable fantasy matchup against the Jazz, who give up the seventh-most fantasy points to centers. Naz Reid (shoulder) will relinquish his starting role to Gobert and could be sidelined on Tuesday night after injuring his left shoulder against San Antonio.

Kristaps Porzingis Tue Jan 20 7:10am

Atlanta Hawks forward/center Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles) will be re-evaluated in one week, the team announced on Monday. The Latvian veteran has missed six games and is expected to sit out at least a couple of more contests. Porzingis departed the lineup in early January due to left Achilles tendinitis. In his absence, Mouhamed Gueye and Asa Newell have received more work in the frontcourt. However, the two have minimal fantasy appeal and won't be relevant for managers while Onyeka Okongwu is healthy.

Tyler Herro Tue Jan 20 7:00am

Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro (ribs) is out indefinitely with a costochondral issue with his ribs. He has missed two games and isn't expected to play during the team's current road trip, which has four more stops this week. Pelle Larsson has been starting during Herro's absence, though his fantasy production can fluctuate. In Monday's loss to the Golden State Warriors, Larsson had nine points, five rebounds, and three assists in 28 minutes. Simone Fontecchio's role has also grown in recent games, with the Italian posting back-to-back 13-point games.

Jalen Williams Tue Jan 20 7:00am

Oklahoma City Thunder forward Jalen Williams (hamstring) will be re-evaluated in two weeks. He exited the lineup for Monday's matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers and will be sidelined for at least six more games. Health issues have bothered Williams all season, limiting him to 24 appearances. He has averaged 16.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 5.6 assists, and 1.3 steals in 29.6 minutes. With him out, Jaylin Williams received the starting nod on Monday but played only eight minutes. Meanwhile, Kenrich Williams' workload increased to 21 minutes. In Monday's game, the defending champions also lost Alex Caruso (back), so more tweaks could be coming in the rotation.

Jimmy Butler Tue Jan 20 6:50am

Golden State Warriors guard/forward Jimmy Butler III (knee) tore his right ACL in Monday's win over the Miami Heat and is out for the rest of the season, Anthony Slater of ESPN.com reports. This is very unfortunate news for the veteran, who entered Monday averaging 21.3 points on 53 percent shooting this month. He has notched 20.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 1.4 steals across the season. Butler III will be on a huge $56.8 million next season, but he could miss a large chunk of the campaign. The Warriors will look for more production from Buddy Hield and Gary Payton II going forward.

Naz Reid Mon Jan 19 7:30pm

Minnesota Timberwolves center Naz Reid (shoulder) is currently listed as questionable ahead of Tuesday's game against the Utah Jazz. Reid was forced to make an early exit from Saturday's game due to a left shoulder injury. He wasn't able to return to the court and is now uncertain for Tuesday's game. Fellow big man Rudy Gobert (hip) has been removed from the injury report after sitting out of Saturday's game. He could see a few extra minutes if Reid is unable to play on Tuesday. Joan Beringer could see more minutes as well, but is an inconsistent fantasy option.

Rudy Gobert Mon Jan 19 7:20pm

Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert (hip) does not carry an injury designation into Tuesday's game against the Utah Jazz. Gobert sat out Saturday's game due to a bruised left hip, but he is cleared to play now. The Wolves are glad Gobert only missed one game as they can't afford to have him sidelined for a lengthy amount of time. This season, Gobert is averaging 11.0 points, 11.4 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks in 31.7 minutes per game. Fellow big man Naz Reid (shoulder) is questionable for Tuesday's game. Gobert could absorb some extra minutes if Reid is unable to play in that one.

Christian Braun Mon Jan 19 7:10pm

Denver Nuggets guard Christian Braun (ankle) is ruled out ahead of Tuesday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. This will mark the sixth straight game that Braun has missed due to an ankle injury. He continues to be limited to non-contact work, so he could be sidelined for a while longer. The Nuggets are banged up right now, so Braun's absence will probably be filled with a committee approach. Bruce Brown, Jalen Pickett, and Spencer Jones should all continue seeing increased work in the rotation. Pickett is the best streaming choice among the three guards right now. Jones and Brown should be viewed as more of deep league options.
