Field Level Media

Luka Doncic scored 35 points and dished out 11 assists against his former team and the Los Angeles Lakers finished perfect in NBA Cup group play with a 129-119 victory over the visiting Dallas Mavericks on Friday.

Austin Reaves scored 38 points and grabbed eight rebounds, Deandre Ayton paired 17 points with eight rebounds, and LeBron James had 13 points and seven assists in his fourth game of the season after returning from sciatica.

Doncic improved to 3-0 against Dallas after his surprising trade from the Mavericks in February. Los Angeles, which had already advanced to the quarterfinals of the NBA Cup, finished 4-0 in West Group B.

P.J. Washington amassed 22 points and nine rebounds and Anthony Davis added 12 points for the Mavericks in his first game on his former home court after he was traded to Dallas in the Doncic deal. He was making his return after missing the previous 14 games with a calf injury.

Thunder 123, Suns 119

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 37 points to help Oklahoma City record its 11th consecutive win, a home victory over Phoenix in an NBA Cup game that saw both teams advance.

The win sends the Thunder to the knockout round of the NBA Cup after they went 4-0 in West Group A. The Suns, who lost for just the third time in 12 games overall, fell to 3-1 in NBA Cup action. However, they still earned a wild-card spot as the Western Conference's best second-place team, so they will join the Thunder in the knockout round.

Oklahoma City also improved to 19-1, becoming the fifth team in NBA history to win at least 19 games in the season's first 20. After capturing the first nine games of the winning streak by 13 or more points, Oklahoma City has now won back-to-back tight games after beating Minnesota by eight on Wednesday.

Spurs 139, Nuggets 136

Devin Vassell scored 18 of his season-high 35 points in the fourth quarter and visiting San Antonio beat Denver to win West Group C and advance to the quarterfinals of the NBA Cup.

Julian Champagnie scored 25 points -- also a season high -- and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Spurs. San Antonio sealed the win my making 7 of 8 free throws in the last minute.

Jamal Murray put up 37 points for Denver, which went 2-2 in NBA Cup play. Nikola Jokic had 21 points, nine rebounds and 10 assists, and Cameron Johnson contributed a season-high 28 points.

Hawks 130, Cavaliers 123

Jalen Johnson produced his second triple-double of the season and Atlanta held off visiting Cleveland as both teams failed to advance in the NBA Cup.

Johnson finished with 29 points, shooting 9-for-18 from the floor, to go with 12 rebounds and 12 assists. Atlanta has won three of its last four, while Cleveland has lost two in a row. Both teams finished 2-2 in East Group A and were eliminated from the NBA Cup. Nickeil Alexander-Walker finished with 30 points and Zaccharie Risacher had 14 points.

Cleveland was led by Donovan Mitchell with 42 points, his 21st career game with 40-plus points. The Cavaliers got 20 points and 14 rebounds from Evan Mobley and 15 points and 10 assists from Darius Garland. Former Hawk De'Andre Hunter scored 16 in his return to Atlanta.

Knicks 118, Bucks 109

Jalen Brunson scored a game-high 37 points, helping New York earn a victory over visiting Milwaukee and advance to the NBA Cup knockout stage.

Josh Hart finished with 19 points, 15 rebounds and seven assists and Miles McBride scored 19 for the Knicks, who won their third straight and finished atop East Group C with a 3-1 record. Mikal Bridges added 14 for New York, while Karl-Anthony Towns totaled nine points and 10 rebounds.

Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 30 points, 15 rebounds and eight assists in his return from a four-game absence caused by a thigh injury. Kyle Kuzma scored 20, AJ Green added 18, Ryan Rollins put up 13 and Myles Turner had 10 for Milwaukee, which dropped its seventh straight game.

76ers 115, Nets 103

Tyrese Maxey totaled 22 points, nine rebounds and seven assists as the short-handed Philadelphia never trailed in a victory over Brooklyn in New York. The Sixers were without Joel Embiid (knee), VJ Edgecombe (calf), Kelly Oubre Jr. (knee) and Trendon Watford (groin).

Jared McCain added 20 off Philadelphia's bench. Rookie Egor Demin posted career bests of 23 points and nine rebounds for Brooklyn.

Both teams entered the game having already been eliminated from advancing in the NBA Cup. They finished tied at the bottom of East Group B at 1-3.

Hornets 123, Bulls 116

Brandon Miller's season-high 27 points and Miles Bridges' 22 points carried Charlotte to an NBA Cup victory over visiting Chicago, a result that snapped the Hornets' seven-game losing streak.

Reserve Collin Sexton poured in 21 points, LaMelo Ball had 16 points and eight assists and Kon Knueppel added 12 points for the Hornets, who finished 1-3 in East Group C of the NBA Cup.

Coby White and Josh Giddey each scored 25 points to lead the Bulls. Chicago also went 1-3 in NBA Cup play and has lost three of its past four games overall.

Magic 112, Pistons 109

Desmond Bane poured in 37 points and grabbed eight rebounds as visiting Orlando edged Detroit to advance to the knockout round of the NBA Cup.

Orlando finished 4-0 in the East Group B of the event and won for the fifth time in its past six games. The Pistons, who went 2-2 in NBA Cup action, lost for the second time in a row following their 13-game winning streak.

Franz Wagner had 21 points and seven rebounds for the Magic. Cade Cunningham carried the Pistons with 39 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists. Cunningham was fouled with 4.7 seconds left but missed the first free throw and then intentionally missed the second. The Pistons got the rebound, but Duncan Robinson's last-ditch 3-point try was blocked by Black.

Pacers 119, Wizards 86

Pascal Siakam amassed 24 points and 11 rebounds as Indiana cruised to a win over Washington in Indianapolis. Both teams finished 1-3 in East Group A of the NBA Cup.

Bennedict Mathurin scored 20 points and matched his season high with four assists for the Pacers, who led by as many as 33 and won for the third time in their first 19 games.

Alex Sarr led Washington with 24 points. The Wizards were unable to carry the momentum from Tuesday, when they snapped a 14-game losing streak with a home win over the Atlanta Hawks.

Jazz 128, Kings 119

Keyonte George scored 31 points, Lauri Markkanen added 28 and Utah avoided a winless round of pool play in the NBA Cup with a victory over Sacramento in Salt Lake City.

Utah, which finished 1-3 in West Group A, snapped a four-game skid. The Jazz used a 12-2 run early in the second quarter to take a lead they never relinquished.

Zach LaVine hit three 3-pointers in the fourth quarter, part of a 6-of-9 period on his way to a game-high 34 points for the Kings. Sacramento ended up 0-4 in NBA Cup action.

Grizzlies 112, Clippers 107

Jaren Jackson Jr. scored 24 points and Zach Edey grabbed 19 rebounds to help Memphis rally to a win in Inglewood, Calif., in the NBA Cup finale for both teams.

Vince Williams Jr. added 16 points and Jaylen Wells and backup Santi Aldama scored 13 points apiece as Memphis recovered from a 16-point third-quarter deficit. The Grizzlies went 3-1 in West Group B play but didn't advance to the knockout round. Los Angeles went 2-2.

Kawhi Leonard scored 39 points on 15-of-24 shooting but couldn't prevent the Clippers from losing for the 12th time in the past 14 games. James Harden had 23 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds for Los Angeles. Kris Dunn added 11 points, seven rebounds and five steals, and John Collins logged 10 points and seven rebounds.

Player Notes
Jaylen Brown Sat Nov 29 12:20pm

Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown (back) is questionable for Saturday's contest in Minnesota. The 29-year-old had 33 points, 10 boards, five assists, two steals, and two blocks in Friday's NBA Cup win over the Detroit Pistons. As expected, Brown has benefited from the absence of Jayson Tatum (Achilles) by averaging a career-high 28.2 points during the 2025 campaign. He also hasn't missed a game. It doesn't sound as if the injury is too serious, although the team may give him the night off for precautionary purposes heading into Sunday's meeting with the Cavaliers, the second of back-to-back outings for the C's. If that happens, Sam Hauser, Payton Pritchard, and Baylor Scheierman could see more scoring opportunities behind Derrick White (calf), assuming he plays, versus a challenging Timberwolves defense.

Russell Westbrook Sat Nov 29 2:00am

Sacramento's G Russell Westbrook recorded a triple-double, finishing with 16 points, 14 assists and 12 rebounds in a 119-128 loss to Utah on Friday, Nov. 28.

Jalen Johnson Sat Nov 29 2:00am

Atlanta's F Jalen Johnson recorded a triple-double, finishing with 29 points, 12 assists and 12 rebounds in a 130-123 win over the Cavaliers on Friday, Nov. 28.

Donovan Mitchell Sat Nov 29 2:00am

Cavaliers' G Donovan Mitchell scored 42 points on 15-of-28 shooting in a 123-130 loss to Atlanta on Friday, Nov. 28.

Cade Cunningham Sat Nov 29 2:00am

Detroit's G Cade Cunningham recorded a triple-double, finishing with 39 points, 11 assists and 13 rebounds in a 109-112 loss to the Magic on Friday, Nov. 28.

Anthony Davis Fri Nov 28 9:30pm

Dallas Mavericks forward/center Anthony Davis (calf) is available for Friday's meeting with the Los Angeles Lakers. AD hasn't played in a month after suffering a left calf strain during the win over the Indiana Pacers on October 29. Before going down, he was averaging 20.8 points, 10.2 rebounds, 1.2 blocks, and 1.6 steals. While there may be some rust in the equation, Davis can be plugged back into all fantasy lineups, even with a reduced workload of 24-to-27 minutes versus his former club.

Kyshawn George Fri Nov 28 7:30pm

Washington Wizards guard/forward Kyshawn George (illness) is back in the starting group after missing one game and remains firmly on the breakout track. He delivered 17 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists in his last appearance and continues to produce mid-round numbers with 16.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 4.9 assists on strong shooting. His return tightens Washington's rotation and trims opportunities for Bilal Coulibaly, Bub Carrington, and Justin Champagnie, each of whom had seen expanded usage. George remains a reliable all-formats option with stable usage and minutes.

Paul George Fri Nov 28 7:20pm

Philadelphia 76ers guard/forward Paul George (ankle) will start Friday against Brooklyn after being upgraded from questionable, giving the team a needed boost with multiple wings still sidelined. George has averaged 13.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.7 assists across his first three outings in limited minutes, and his return pushes Dominick Barlow, Justin Edwards, and Jabari Walker into reduced roles. Fantasy managers should expect his workload to climb gradually, but usage volatility persists with Joel Embiid (knee), Kelly Oubre (knee), and VJ Edgecombe (calf) out.

Kevin Huerter Fri Nov 28 7:00pm

Chicago Bulls guard/forward Kevin Huerter (pelvis) will be available Friday against Charlotte, though his fantasy outlook remains shaky after logging just 19 and 10 minutes off the bench in his last two appearances. His reduced role aligned with Coby White's return to full availability, which tightened Chicago's guard rotation and pushed Huerter into a smaller workload. Tre Jones' 28-minute, 11-assist outing may also keep him in a steady bench role. Huerter stays a watchlist option until he regains meaningful minutes.

Trey Murphy III Fri Nov 28 6:50pm

New Orleans Pelicans forward Trey Murphy III (elbow) is uncertain for Saturday's game at Golden State because of right elbow soreness, which could keep him out of the opening game of a back-to-back. The Pelicans are already without Jordan Poole (quadriceps) and Herbert Jones (calf), which pushed Saddiq Bey into a 39-minute workload Wednesday that produced 18 points, 10 rebounds, and three steals. A Murphy absence would keep Bey in strong streaming range, while Micah Peavy and Bryce McGowens offer deeper-league utility given the team's depleted wing rotation.

Nikola Vucevic Fri Nov 28 6:50pm

Chicago Bulls center Nikola Vucevic (knee) will play on Friday against Charlotte. The veteran didn't suit up for Monday's loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. Fortunately, it appears the lengthy layoff did him some good, limiting his time away to only one game. Vucevic will be returning versus a Hornets defense that has struggled throughout the 2025 campaign, giving him more than enough upside for season-long fantasy managers and DFS participants. His presence will mean less work for Jalen Smith, who had 13 points and six rebounds on Monday night.

Coby White Fri Nov 28 6:50pm

Chicago Bulls guard Coby White (calf) is available for Friday's game versus Charlotte. He was listed as questionable heading into this one. While fantasy managers are glad to see him on the floor, there's a chance he won't suit up on Saturday against the Indiana Pacers due to injury management reasons. White is coming off a 24-point, six-assist, five-rebound effort in Monday's loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. He might be even more productive against the Hornets, a team that has struggled defensively this season.

Jarrett Allen Fri Nov 28 6:50pm

Cleveland Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen (finger) will return for Friday's game in Atlanta after missing the last three contests. The 27-year-old has averaged 14.8 points, 1.3 higher than last season. However, he hasn't been as productive in the rebounding department while also seeing a significant decline in field goal percentage. Still, Allen remains a must-start in any fantasy format, although he'll be returning against a Hawks defense that can be difficult, even without Kristaps Porzingis (illness).

Giannis Antetokounmpo Fri Nov 28 6:40pm

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (adductor) will return for Friday's NBA Cup clash with the New York Knicks after missing his last four games. The Greek Freak was playing at an All-Star level before going down. While he could see fewer minutes than normal in his first game back in the lineup, he's still a must-start in any fantasy format. With Antetokounmpo back in the mix, Gary Trent Jr. is in line to head back to the bench, with fewer scoring opportunities for Ryan Rollins, Kyle Kuzma, and Myles Turner.

Adem Bona Fri Nov 28 6:20pm

Philadelphia 76ers center Adem Bona (ankle) will play on Friday versus Brooklyn after missing the last five games because of a sprained right ankle. The 22-year-old wasn't productive before going down with the injury, averaging only 2.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks. With Joel Embiid (knee) sidelined, he may have had an opportunity for more involvement. However, it's been Andre Drummond making the most of his afforded opportunities, averaging 10.9 points, 13.8 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks in eight starts. With that said, Bona could see some action on Friday, although he's tough to trust even with a favorable matchup on the horizon.

Jaden Ivey Fri Nov 28 6:20pm

Detroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey (reconditioning) will be available Friday against Orlando after averaging 14.0 minutes across his first three outings. He contributed seven points, four rebounds, and one steal in his most recent game but remains limited as the team eases him back. His return pushes Daniss Jenkins into a smaller role and slightly shifts second-unit usage. Ivey stays in wait-and-see territory for now, with his fantasy viability tied to whether his workload can rise into the mid-20s.

De'Anthony Melton Fri Nov 28 6:10pm

Golden State Warriors guard De'Anthony Melton (knee) will miss at least two additional games and is targeting his season debut on the team's upcoming road trip. Melton averaged 10.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.2 steals in 20.2 minutes last year, but he will need to win minutes from Brandin Podziemski once active. Podziemski logged 14 points, four rebounds, and two assists in his last outing, and rookie Will Richard added 18 points with six rebounds. Melton profiles as a deeper-league stash until his role becomes clearer.

Andrew Nembhard Fri Nov 28 6:10pm

Indiana Pacers guard Andrew Nembhard (quadriceps) won't play on Friday versus the Washington Wizards. He has a quad contusion, so fantasy managers will need to wait and see if he'll be back on Saturday against the Chicago Bulls. Without him, T.J. McConnell, who had 16 points, seven rebounds, and six assists in Wednesday's two-point loss to the Toronto Raptors, could be in line to start. However, even if McConnell isn't with the first-five, he is certainly worth considering for all fantasy lineups.

Kristaps Porzingis Fri Nov 28 6:00pm

Atlanta Hawks center Kristaps Porzingis (illness) won't play on Friday versus the Cavaliers. The veteran has been productive this season, averaging 18.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists. However, he'll now miss his ninth game of the 2025 campaign. His next chance to suit up will be on Sunday in Philadelphia, but as far as Friday's contest is concerned, Onyeka Okongwu is in line to enter the starting lineup. The 24-year-old has played well in his seven starts this season, averaging 20.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.9 blocks, and 1.4 steals, giving him plenty of upside for fantasy managers, even with a challenging matchup on the horizon.

Jonathan Kuminga Fri Nov 28 5:50pm

Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga (knee) is questionable for Saturday's game against New Orleans after missing seven straight contests, though he has resumed full 5-on-5 activity and appears close to returning. Kuminga logged several strong lines before the injury, including 25 points with 10 rebounds and 24 points with eight rebounds, and he could take on extra usage with Stephen Curry (quadriceps) sidelined. His return would likely trim Moses Moody's workload.
